Great local eatery with hugh cheap breakfasts. I ordered the veggie omelet and it came with 3 pancakes so just shared with the kiddos and it was enough for all 3 of us. For $6! Wow! The omelet was good, very fresh mushrooms and onions. Pancakes were great, very fluffy.
Kiddos also wanted hot chocolate, and it came with a tower of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The waitress even brought them a little cooler so the kids wouldn't burn their tongues.
Everyone else had something different, some even ordered off the lunch menu since it was noon (I can eat breakfast at noon! I was on vacation!!). No complaints and several were pleasantly surprised.

Maybe we were asking too much.  Saturday night and we were in search of a good meal.  In spite of the hundreds of semi-creepy teddy bears and the other kitschy decor, the food just wasn't to my liking.  I know it's a small town, but iceberg with matchstick carrots?  The green beans had bacon (and I do love bacon) but wish there had been more flavor, my 6 oz steak was so tough I bent my fork, and my daughter's lasagna barely had pasta so she didnt' eat much of it.

She'd never seen a crescent roll before so was fascinated by it's butt shape.  It was pretty tasty despite our many crack jokes.  My sweet potato fries were good.  They had lots of pies listed on their chalkboards, but we felt a little rushed out as we got there at 7:45 and they close at 8.  Our server was nice and very attentive.  I'd go back to try the raved about breakfasts, but will stick to Manitou Springs for a little more upscale meal.  It's not you, it's me.

The BEST breakfast burritos in the world are served here and their crepes are HUGE (not kidding!).  We really enjoy this place.  It is always very crowded, but they are pretty good about getting meals out to people on time.  The people who work their are like family.  For those who love true American food, this is THE place to go.

Some of my friends love this place but I just can't get excited about it.  My pancakes were sour and I was ill all day afterwards.
