In for a business luncheon and had the Asparagus salad--delish with perfectly cooked moist salmon. Great combo of flavors with smoky potatoes and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Shared the Key Lime dessert. I ALWAYS get chocolate but this sounded too good to miss, with blueberry mousse (I think), mint drizzle and ginger granulated "sprinkles". WOW. Even the decaf was notable. Great service at our table of 10. I'd have given 5 stars but our food did take a bit long to come and they weren't busy.
Will come again! Cool ambianceHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott P.Washington, DC337148Jan 28, 2023Updated review
We have been to H&T half a dozen times and the food has more often than not been creative, well prepared and gracefully presented. The menu is quite narrow but always a vegetarian and fish offering to balance it out. Service is good, better at the bar than on the floor. However, if you go insist on a table in the main room and not in the failed deli/store area. No need for a lot of descriptives here, it is depressing, surrounded by empty cold cases random and thinly stocked shelves with items for sale interspersed with bric-a-brac. It could easily be transformed yet it languishes like a empty children's room that was long ago vacated for college.

The fish was a very small portion and overcooked (and leaving the back bone in was uncalled for) The risotto had no crab flavor and was also over cooked. The carrots, under cooked, and when trying to cut them they jumped across the plate. Our wives both had the cod off the standard menu and it was spot on. So.....happy wives, happy lives. Service was fine, but please give me fresh silver between courses.
One last note, the former deli side, now used as a dining area, is sad. They need to either restock the cases, remove them, build a temporary wall or drop a curtain. Don't let them sit you in this room until they make it worth being in. - Michael K.Lancaster, PA026Jan 13, 2023
Great date spot. Shared the mussels with my wife and I could have taken a bath in the sauce, Sooooo good! Meals were solid, I had tacos and my wife got a sandwich. Both good. They do a weird break down the menu with "small plates" and "large plates"...don't let that fool you the small plates can def be a meal itself. Super fun drink menu and fantastic beers!!! Def NOT a place to take kids if you have them. They have no easy kids menu and unless your kids are older and will eat unique food, this is not the place for them. Keep it date night only!!

I can not recommend this place enough. The staff was friendly courteous kind patient and personable. The food is fantastic!! Get the hummus and the curry bowl with chicken so so so flavorful and delicious. I honestly think that's the best hummus I have ever had.
Every single one of the staff was wonderful!! The atmosphere is relaxed. The vibe is cool! The food is amazing! The beer list is great!! Make a reservation for the patio you won't be disappointedHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Chris H.River Forest, IL3231Aug 29, 2022
Loved this place! Terrific, helpful and fun waiter, outstanding beer from Austria, delicious food with the Cuban Cigars and Chicharrones being the standouts. Just awesome sauces! Wish you were closer to Chicago!

I went here around 3pm on a Wednesday. We almost didn't eat here because we thought it was closed. It's a little tricky to get here and we initially drove right by it. When we walked inside, I noticed the meat and cheese deli shop. It looked really cute.
We were seated at a table right away. They gave us the menu and informed us, that due to the time we came in, they were no longer serving lunch and it was too early for dinner so we had their "in between" menu. It was extremely limited and I was so disappointed. We picked this place based on their lunch menu.
I ordered the soup of the day which was a vegetable soup with some sort of eggplant relish on top. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary and it wasn't very hot when it came out.
My friend ordered the rustic salami. The sandwich didn't come with any sides and I thought that there was a lot of bread and not a lot on the sandwich.
Overall, this wasn't my favorite place and I can't help but be disappointed with my experience here. The lunch menu should be served until dinner.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alyssa M.Reading, PA0818Jun 18, 2022
This is my second time coming here and the most memorable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The Duck Birria tacos were divine. Like I should've got my own and you your own situation. I got the chicken entrée and my only critique (foodie in the industry) is it was lacking that contrast in texture, it needs something crunchy. Otherwise, flavors were all there! The expresso martini was delicious! Different take and the orange was absolutely lovely. The current dessert, a cobbler was delicious and a perfect size for two! I'd suggest sitting outside on the patio! The umbrellas have lights and sets the tone.

Oh man. My bf and I wanted to find a nice place for dinner for our weekend trip to Amish country. he picked Hunger N Thirst for the pretty cocktails we saw on Yelp. This place was so good we went back for brunch the next morning! The food was so flavorful and cooked just right, and cocktails as excellent as portrayed by many yelp photos. I had the Berry white and it was refreshing and such a good mix of fruit. We had country buffet for lunch so weren't hungry and ordered a few apps for dinner. The Cuban cigars were so delicious and my favorite!! Pork belly meatballs also amazing and unique and texture meshed well with the risotto. The chef's charcuterie board was well selected - the spec was a highlight for my bf. Our waitress was also incredibly friendly and smiled so much we were kind of taken aback LOL
For brunch, we were the first ones there for a quiet brunch. My crab salad club was perfect with good sized chunks of crab and generous slabs of bacon. My bf loved his toasted sandwich with spec and cheese. The deviled eggs were good, although a bit more fishy than we're used to. Also, the waitress asked if I would like my coffee warmed up and I was like whaaaaat? such nice service that I'm not used to!
So yeah eat here. Amazing food and drinks and very friendly staff who smiles at you!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
