We don't go anywhere else in Kingwood for Chinese food.
Of course it's not authentic (it's American-Chinese), but they've got free delivery, and the prices aren't horrible. -

I recently tried take out from Hunan Garden and was underwhelmed to say the very least. The sesame chicken was no better than what you could get in the food court at the mall, the sauce was thick and bland, and the white rice was cold by the time I got home (a five-minute trip.)
My husband got General Tso's chicken and again, rubbery chicken in big hunks with bland sauce and overcooked veggies. We will not be back. -

Had a nice, quiet dinner with my wife last night at a nice local Chinese Restaurant that's been around for years. I have ordered takeout from here many times over the last 20 years but can't recall ever dining in the restaurant. We decided it was time to do so and we weren't disappointed.
First, the service was some of the best I've ever encountered. The staff was extremely attentive with no less than 4 different people checking on our table throughout the experience. Even when they didn't ask if we needed anything there were times when they were clearly walking to our table to make sure we were happy. My only complaint was that no one offered chopsticks. I had to ask for them. That's a very minor issue to me.
We started with some excellent vegetable spring rolls. Crispy, paper thin wraps with firm, flavorful vegetables. I'm not sure you can make them any better. They were so good that we ordered some to take with us at the end of the meal.
The Wonton Soup was above average but I won't say that it was the best I've ever had. Still it was good and I finished every bit of it.
If the Orange Beef wasn't perfect it was darn near. An awesome combination of sweet and spicy with its syrupy sauce of oranges mixed with red peppers. Even bathed in the sweet, sticky sauce it was still crispy batter fried on the outside while the beef itself was surprisingly tender on the inside. The portions were so large that I found myself bringing half of it home with me. What a consolation prize.
I'm not sure why we waited so many years to dine in this restaurant but I'm quite sure we won't wait nearly as long for a return visit.Listed in: Humble/Kingwood, Asian

I used to eat here a lot. When ever I go visit my parents, they still order in Hunan. It taste pretty good, but leaves you really thirsty as they use a lot of salt. Then again, maybe I just order salty dishes? The cashew chicken is my favorite. They give generous portions considering your eating for around 7-10 bucks.
A few years ago, Marvin Zindler featured them in a bad light, of course- so, I had to quit going for a while. That was a few years ago.. so I hope they cleaned up their act.Listed in: Kingwood, Atascosita, & Humble

Good Chinese food and they deliver at anytime during business hours. Hunan Garden has the best General Tso's Chicken I have ever had, and their Mandarin shrimp is of the same caliber. I use them mainly for delivery which is prompt and accurate. If you're in the mood to dine in the wait staff is courteous and efficient. On Sundays they have a buffet which most the time features both the Tso's and the shrimp dishes mentioned above, along with several entree options.
PS. This is a smaller buffet, only on Sundays with limited choices (say 8 entrée options) but it is the best Chinese buffet I've eaten at. -

Atascocita, TX
This is one of the best Chinese Restaurants in town! Food is excellent and staff is amazing. They Offer dine in, carryout, and delivery to the Kingwood/Atascocita Area. Every dish is cooked to perfection and all for a good price. On Sundays they offer a buffet. The only downfall about this restaurant is that the restrooms are upstairs, so some people may be at an inconvenience.

We've been going to Hunan Garden for years. Their food is reliable and tasty. I love the hot and sour soup here. It's always a hit, never a miss.
The food is crispy and tasty. The garlic chicken and chicken in brown sauce are my favs. You may dine in, or get food to go. They also deliver and are very prompt. In the local ads, you can usually get a couple bucks off your order for pickup or dine in.
Service is friendly and prompt. Food is always tasty. Enjoy! -

I have always enjoyed an exceptional level of service and food. It is so seldom you see both-much less on a consistent basis. Love it!

Where would we be without Chinese takeout? Starving! This is a tried and true Chinese restaurant. Basic standards here, nothing too risky. However they are always friendly and know their regulars on site. If you just want some good old fashioned American Chinese food, you can't go wrong.
