I want to thank Dr. Calkins and all his team as they have given me my life back which I thought not possible after all the various ablations and aberrant heart rhythms Ive experienced since open heart surgery in 2002 for left atrial myxoma. My family also wishes to express their gratitude as they have witnessed my heart difficulties and had hoped a doctor such as Hugh Calkins would understand this specific type of suffering and restore me to sinus rhythm. All I know today is that I have my life back and there are no words to express my happiness. May all Dr. Calkins staff and family be well happy and peaceful and may all who have lived with abnormal heart rates have the good fortune to find a doctor who can provide care such as I have experienced. On this the 7th anniversary of my successful catheter ablation at the hands of Dr. Hugh Calkins; I'd like to take this opportunity to thank him and his team of talented professionals for a job well done.
I chose Dr.Calkins and Johns Hopkins because they are a facility of highly trained individuals that do a lot of procedures. That's the main point in my selection of Hopkins and Dr.Calkins. Hopkins school of medicine do a lot of procedures and you learn from that. Humans make mistakes; that's a fact but from those mistakes you learn. This is lost to small hospitals in rural areas. When Hospitals do great numbers of various procedures; they advance science and pharmaceutical and R and D companies bring their inventions and equipment to be field tested, thus advancements in medicine take place.
