We went here on this past Saturday to celebrate one of my cousins birthday. I had not been here in some time. We arrived kind of early because it was about 730pm-8pm. It was not crowded yet. However, the crowd slowly started coming. We had an awesome night. People of all ages were there 18 and up. Several bridal parties and one couple was even celebrating an anniversary. They played a variety of music. It was a pretty cool night. Our server was great. The only disadvantage here is you have to go outside of the bar to actually buy food. If you are in the Market Place area do stop in and give it a try. Different but, enjoyable.

My friends that did show up were expecting a change in the appetizer buffet because the last there function we attended here had tacos and nachos. One friend chose to use a drink ticket for coconut bacardi with orange juice and pineapple juice which is the same exact thing she gets all the time and was denied. That had never happend. There was a different guy on the piano that didn't have the crowd as pumped up as normal. The female that sings has so much energy and always keeps the crowd pumped. There was a promotion for a bacardi selection but lets just say it seemed as the promoters were not going to the people that were actually interested. Closer to the end of the pronouncing group did actually get a chance to sample it. No one thought it was actually good in our group. Tasted like blueberry. I will pass. Over all it was ok but, not the best that we have experienced since we have been coming here. They lost points tonight.
Oct 13, 2012Previous reviewI love this place. It was time to get my friends amped up at my HAPPY HOUR PARTY. We had a ball. I even came in second place for the booty popping contest. We sang songs and danced to live piano playing. The fact that 20 people showed up for my party. I achieved ROCK STAR STATUS. GO ME.
Sep 21, 2012Previous reviewThis place is at the top of my list. I was invited to the Guest Appreciation Party from 7pm til 9 pm. It was free cover charge, free buffet and open bar. Can you say what more can you ask for. When checking in you received a raffle ticket. Open bar included free beer, wine and up to call level drinks. The buffet included meatballs, mac-n-cheese and veggies and dip. All this for free. And to top the night off for me- I was the winner of the final raffle ticket pulled.....................I was the winner of a Ravens Jersey and 2 Miller Lite Flite Deck tickets. That's right..................ALL THIS FOR FREE. I will return to support Howl at the Moon.

My significant other and I visited this spot for a colleagues birthday party!
We were hype and excited to be there, especially since we had just came from Fogo de Chao. Y'all we were LIVING that night . Lol
Now the drinks were good. Music was popping, but I had to give a 3/5 experience because the staff gave my boyfriend a rough time on a coupon/deal he had earned via checking in on Yelp.
When you checked in on Yelp, you got a buy one, get one free drink special. When he showed it to the staff, they told him that they couldn't honor that deal. (My thoughts were..why have it on Yelp if it's not a current deal?) BUT no worries, we went on dancing with the pianist and I bought two more drinks anyway lol.
Later the manager did come over and gave my boyfriend a personalized card with the buy one, get one deal and apologized for the mixup. To that young man, thank you! Lol We weren't trying to be petty, but we do love a good deal.
The coupon did come with a $8.95 limit, so you couldn't buy something crazy, but it was still amazing.
Thanks to the staff! We may come back again, no real qualms with this spot, but beware of the Yelp check coupon!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gary M.Bear, DE2814250Mar 26, 2019
Cool spot within Power Plant Live! Live music and great drinks. But I went there and showed the bartender my Groupon for 2, which was more than active, she denied my Groupon and said that I have to show the general manager. Which was obviously nowhere in sight. I was also told that I have to show the person at the desk when I first walk in. BUT... What sense does that make when there's several bartenders serving drinks? I'm sure he's not going to enjoy going upstairs to tell a bartender every single time someone has a Groupon that needs to be redeem. But anyway, Stay Woke when you have a Groupon or you'll have to pay with cash or card. Other than that, I had a pretty good time for the first time there. Enjoy

A friend and I decided to visit Howl at the moon after finishing dinner at pier 5. You can always count on a lively crowd, loud fun music, and well priced drinks. Unfortunately, it was a bit more run down then I remember. The performances where fun, the crowd was oddly empty for a Friday night but it was a pretty cold night so maybe that's why. Overall still a safe bet for a fun time.

Um, any artist that can play "trap queen" on the piano is a winner in my book lmao! Seriously, this place was a blast. Did a bar crawl throughout power plant and howl at the moon was definitely one of my fave stops. Great atmosphere, great drinks, great music, awesome bartenders. I'll definitely be coming back.

This is my first time at a dueling Piano bar! My wife and I were invited to go for a double birthday party. One of her coworkers and her boyfriend had birthdays a month apart and he won a party here at Howl at the Moon!
The previous comments about weak drinks are way off! We are here on a Saturday night, the first taste in my mouth is the whiskey, could barely taste the coke!
Because we have a group, our first 2 drinks were $1 and the rest of the drinks were half price till 8 p.m. They used Kentucky Whiskey and not JD.
Had a blast with our group! Would love to. come back! The pianist knew everything! The one even mentioned that his wife is from our area of Pennsylvania.
We had a really good server, Sia showed up just at the right time every time, great job Sia!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric M.Monroe Township, NJ198180118Aug 8, 2018
Wonderful!!!! And the have a yelp check in coupon!! Live music, great crowd, and a yelp check in coupon? How can you go wrong!?!?!?!?
We love Howl at the Moon. They always have top quality musicians and this one didn't disappoint. We have been to the the DC, Boston, philly, and NYC (before the closed) locations and this one was right on point!
Lots of fun, great music and dancing! The actual building is very spacious, as expected in a howl at the moon location. The crowd they attract is also a nice fun friendly bunch. We would definitely go back when visiting the area!!!!
The only downfall was that they aren't open daily! Some locations other places are, but this one is not. I read that they are only open for events, so you may want to call ahead. There are other late night attractions in the area so you can head over there and have a fun time regardless.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2016
While visiting Baltimore with local friends on a Friday night, I came to Howl at the Moon. It's an interesting piano bar that is quite different from, for instance, Georgetown Piano Bar (which is one of the best kept secrets in D.C.). The bar featured two cool piano players, both of whom actually sang quite well. I point that out because I've been to piano bars before where you think, "Hmm, maybe he/she should just play and let a soundtrack sing."
It just so happened that there was a bachelorette party that kept things things amusing. The honey mango margarita, made with Maestro Dobel Tequila, triple sec, sour, and Monin honey mango was great. Smooth and enjoyable. I can't say the same for the Adios Mofo, which I call the Bye Felicia because it was so watery. But our friendly waitress Sybill at least brought me some lines to make it a little more palatable.
I love piano bars, so if I'm in Baltimore again, I'd definitely consider dropping back through Howl at the Moon.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
