I rented kayaks from this place with four friends after hearing about it from my hotel staff.
You go to a small gift shop/kayak store and sign wavers and pay for your rentals. The shop also has water for sale as well as a restroom so you can be comfortable on your trip. After everything is paid for you get back in your car and drive one minute down the road to the bass river so you can hop in your boat and paddle around.
The bass river has a lot of boats docked in it when you head out, but you get past them and can paddle around in the marshes and go to the beaches. The water is pretty calm and the current wasn't too strong.
We rented for 90 minutes and it was $20.00 each when riding solo. They also had half day and full day packages for $40 and $55.
If I were to do this again, I'd rent for longer than 90 minutes, pack a lunch and probably boat to the beach. Overall it was a nice experience, good for a group for a solo trip.
*The only thing I didn't like is that they ask for your keys or a license when you take the boats out.
