It's an okay place. I was visiting family in Diego and being that i would be going in and out of my hotel room...who cares what room i had. It was clean, inexpensive. It's Cali, I'm sure you wont be staying in the room the whole day. It was a nice stay for the most part. the only thing i would complain about is the darn key they gave me! i went to the lobby to activate it one too many times. there's a jack in the box like across the street. the trolley which takes you everywhere is within walking distance.
...and like Ronald says powerful AC, lol no kidding that room would get so cold in no time. It's not just off I-5, its like ON it. good deal all in all
One night here. It seemed nice at first, but then I started to notice things I didn't like... No clock anywhere in the room. I get that people have their own timepieces, but come on! No clock?? Really? No conditioner, no lotion. Wi-fi wasn't working and the worker in the lobby couldn't figure it out. The room was a good size. Plenty of room in the fridge and a freezer too. Teeny tiny little pool and a jacuzzi.
Clean room, good TV with cable, powerful AC, fast/free wireless Internet, unstocked mini fridge.
Free parking, free continental breakfast and newspaper. Staff was nice and efficient.
I spent 6 nights as part of a priceline package for Comic-con, but I see specials at sub $50/night.
Right off I-5, maybe 15 minutes from the convention center and Balboa Park. Walmart and lots of restaurants within 1.5 miles.
It's not a W but it is one of the better bargain hotels I have been in for a long time.
