8 reviews for House of Ribs
I could only imagine what a "House of Ribs" looks like.
After spending the entire day wearing a "Will work for Fried Chicken" sign, I was finally offered a bucket. I split the 12pc Broasted Chicken and a 8oz Macaroni Salad. When the comment was made "You can't finish that chicken." I thought it was going to be a challenge. As it turns out, leftovers were due. (I was going to finish the bucket.)
I also ordered from grubhub, and from the reviews on their site, knew it was going to be a while for delivery. I didn't expect the delivery to arrive a half hour after they were done delivering. It was almost like they dropped it off on their way home.
Late night Chicken, you've done your duty. If you're going to be up for a while, and need some chicken delivered, I'd suggest this place.
***For those of you who haven't had Broasted Chicken, it's worth a try. It's a combination of Pressure cooking/Deep Frying the chicken. There's less fat, fewer calories, and the chicken tends to be more juicy from the process. It's like Fried Chicken that's good for you.
Sorry to say, I was really looking forward to these ribs and they were TOUGH and a color of meat so dark I've never seen before. The sauce was very good, but wow, I was really disappointed. I got the full slab, the baked potato had burned skin too and was dry. When I tried to pull the meat apart instead of biting it off, I felt like I was wrestling with a pit bull. I spent the money so I ate it, but sorry guys, won't do it again.
They have this amazing bbq chicken! I love that you can get this in buckets, combo meals, and single pieces. I work not far from here and it's nice to be able to bring a salad and add on a single piece of chicken for protein. I don't eat pork and I have no problem finding something to eat here.
***Important note*** House of Ribs is the same as The Godfather Pizza. It's two restaurants in one. :)
Sauce was ok. Ribs were decent. I might try them again.
Ordered off of GrubHub. Had I known it was going to take an hour and a half for delivery for a place that's about 2 miles away, I wouldn't have even bothered. But then to get food that was not even mediocre. We got the beef ribs and chicken wings. Now, having lived in TX for more than 15 years means I'm pretty particular, but these weren't even worth giving to the dog. And the chicken wings were nothing but skin & bones. Blurg!
YUMMY! Whenever I suggest this place for dinner, my husband chants, "House of Ribs! House of Ribs!" Even if you don't like Ribs, I'm certain you'll find something mouthwatering on the menu. Try one of their many delicious baked pasta entres.
My boyfriend and I love their "hot and spicy Cajun BBQ" chicken. It's broasted so it tastes a lot like fried but juicier. The sauce on the Cajun BBQ is pretty awesome. Plus the price makes it a pretty good deal.
If you're looking for sloppy, mucous membrane covered McRib-like ribs, then this place is for you. There is a reason the price is lower than average.
