I'm sitting here looking at the absolutely empty restaurant, remembering the reviewer that said he found a fly in his food and then glancing at prices for Chinese food that are all upwards of ten dollars for just the dish plus white rice (most are $13+). Honestly, this is nuts. And my server hasn't been back to get my order in close to seven minutes! If it wasn't for a snowy day and complimentary hot tea, I'd have been gone. I ordered the chicken wings ($4) and the small fried rice ($3).
The fried rice is ok. It came out hot. It has decent flavor but nothing special. As you can see the wings are small and have no special seasoning. They are served with hoisin sauce that is way sweet.
Without a doubt...won't be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Victor G.Houston, TX012Sep 20, 2012
This horrible. Take a look at the fly I found in my food. I contacted the establishment and the lady was rude. I only got her attention when I mentioned that I would be calling the health department.
The only reason why I am writing a review on yelp is becuse people on here actually thought this was a good place to eat.
DO NOT EAT HERE. THIS PLACE SHOULDNT be open.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2987236Aug 27, 2013
Best place for Chinese food around. My family has been coming here for about 15 years. The food and service is always great, and the portions are generous. I've never had a bad dish. When I come home, I always make sure to eat here.
My Favorite Dishes Are:
Shrimp Fried Rice (No Bean Sprouts) - This is my all time favorite dish to order. So tasty, so filling, and not overly greasy.
Creamy Shrimp - This comes in a wonderful white sauce where it's crispy on the outside while creamy on the inside. The shrimps are cooked perfectly and so amazingly juicy. I wish I could duplicate this dish at home, then I could eat it as often as I want!
Come here if you want the best Chinese food ever. Go somewhere else if you want crappy Chinese food. If this place was as bad as some of the reviews are saying, they wouldn't have lasted over the 15 years I've been coming here. Try this place. You'll love it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Loree S.Albion, IN1297May 28, 2017
We are so glad Hunan is open again. It's been our favorite place for Chinese food in the Fort for some time. We were loyal customers and want this new venture to work.
I'm not in love with the fast-food vibe, but The food's still good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jenni K.Fort Wayne, IN451521Mar 12, 2017
The newly remodeled inside is beautiful. New windows lets natural light in. Most of the decor is the same but better floor layout.
Place your order at the new order counter. Carry out or sit down and eat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patton C.Hudson, MI1416420Feb 15, 2017

Very nice staff. Good price for good quality. Taste just like authentic Chinese foods in California. Love to come back every time I come back to visit my sisters.

I decided to try out some foods at House Of Human after 3 hours shopping in Glenbrook mall. The Tso chicken, Creamy shrimp was very creamy. I decided to order some more foods for our dinner at my sister later on. We have to warm up the foods later but the crab rangoon, Hunan fried rice, tomatoes beef soup and hot & sour soup are still very tasty. We finished everything I've ordered. The Chinese foods here was just as good as what we have in Los Angeles, California. Their service is actually very organize fast. Price is cheaper for the same kind of foods in California.

No reason for me to come back. Pricey and average at best Chinese food. A little cruddy in here to, Flies, little bugs running across floor. Kind of dim lit and depressing. Just not feeling it. I liked back when they were House of Hunan, but the 35 years ago version. This place now I dunno Man, I dunno Man.

The first server was very unhelpful and abrupt... but then she left and the next one was fine - not overly friendly, but asked multiple times how the food was and brought us cookies in the end. The servings were humungous! It was filling but could have had more variety in flavor. For example, I had garlic chicken which was listed as very spicy, however, it wasn't spicy at all. I would like to try more of the menu for a full assessment.
