Where did you go? I am sorry to say I have not been to downtown Ferndale in awhile, and today saw that you were gone. So sad! I literally did not know where to go.
I always enjoyed your store, the people who work there were sweet, the jewelry was amazing and now, where will I get my sunglasses?
So very sorry I didn't get there more often.
    Hope you re-emerge.

I bought an asymmetrically-collared shirt here in college. I'm sure that the price was far above my normal college-era budget, but since I wore it until it almost disintegrated, I think I got a good deal. This is a  cute little boutique that carries brands like Diesel, B.B. Dakota, Ringspun, and 555 Soul, mixed in with lines you may not have heard of before.

Example: When I was recently, oooohing over a super-soft sweater made by Dex, the woman at the counter showed me some other sweaters that she'd just gotten in from a company called Wooden Ships. I'd never heard of this brand, but wanted to pet these sweaters forever. Alas, the ol' budget will only allow me to splurge once in awhile at a place like House of Chants.

HOC also carries some stylish men's clothing, cute hats, and some eye-catching jewelry as well. They carry Erica Weiner jewelry, which I love - current stock includes porcupine quill earrings as well as a feather/metal ginkgo leaf necklace.

An unassuming storefront led way to a fantastic little boutique with a very well thought out and diverse stock for both men and women. The prices range from very reasonable to, oh my god why is that shirt $90? But they seem to have a little something for everyone. Personally, I have been searching for a new hat for sometime, and due to the size of my noggin and pickiness when it comes to hats, they are generally either too small, or not my style. Here at house of chants their hats have sizes....imagine that! The delightful saleswoman (who I think might have also been the owner) helped me find exactly what I had been looking for, in a size that actually fit me.
The moral of this story, support your local businesses rather than some evil corporate mall store, they don't care about you...really...they don't.

If you're looking for fresh, fashion forward clothing Ferndale's House of Chants is your spot. Carrying lines like Diesel and Triple 5 Soul this adorable indie boutique offers customers chic and funky clothing.

House of Chants offers both men and women's wear in a swanky setting. For those of you that are label whores, you already know that it's gonna cost you, but with steep prices comes beautifully designed and sewn pieces.

In addition to clothing this boutique offers jewelry, like rings and watches, as well as some bags. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their stock. They are always willing to help you pick out that perfect outfit for a night on the town. so, if your rags have got you down and your looking for a fresh new look, take a trip to downtown Ferndale and take a peek at House of Chants. .

This is a really hot spot to hit if you're in a fashion bind for a casual night out and you feel like going new.  You're safe with their selection of Triple 5 Soul, Diesel...  I normally do not buy new clothes unless it is American Apparel -- but there are times when you want to "step out" for the night and swish those heels.  This is totally the place to get some good pieces for that.

I'm all about thrifting or discount right now, but I can't resist the jewelry here.  They're like magnets to my greedy little hands.

Some stores have a "backroom" where all the good stuff is stashed away.  Well this is that "backroom" !

Check out a video I did about this loft styled boutique here: http://www.youtube.com...

A great boutique store carrying brands that are hard to find anywhere else aside from the internet. For women: BB Dakota, Heavy Rotation, 555 Soul, Diesel, Fornarina...lots of great brands. The clothes are all great fit and great quality items. The price reflects that, but in my eyes, is well worth it. Especially if you are looking for some lasting classics. They have a really great selection of unique jewelry, watches and sunglasses as well as some cool messenger type bags as well as funky hats and belts. It's a great store for the accessory lover. Also, MEN: Pay attention, there are some great dress shirts and coats that aren't of the generic department store variety. So if you want some style that sets you apart from the next guy, check this place out.

I love this store.  It has hip, fun urban clothing.  I have been shopping here for years.  The owner is helpful and can put really good outfits together.  Besides the clothes, they have unique jewelry.  She carries both men's and women's wear.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!  I don't shop here often, but when I do drop in I always find head turning pieces that I don't regret buying.  Whether you're looking for casual wear, or something "special" you may be surprised at the unique items you'll find here.  I personally disregard the brands they carry; it doesn't really matter because it's all high quality that you typically won't find in other boutiques in the area.

if i ever need an outfit, this is the first place i go. i've been shopping here for 11 years and rarely walk out of the store empty-handed. i very rarely shop at the mall any longer - plus i'd rather support a local, independent business. sisters linda and cindy that own house of chants are really sweet ladies!
