Really nice property. Great location half a block from the plaza. Parking under the building is very convenient. Will stay here every time i visit Santa Fe.

The Plaza Real is a basic hotel with few amenities, yet it's clean and comfortable enough for housing your luggage while you're out exploring all day and providing a roof over your head, clean sheets and a warm shower at night. They even have individual packets of Charbucks coffee with a coffeemaker for your morning cup of joe and also an iron and ironing board in the closet if you're so inclined to perform any chore-like activities while on vacation. (Hell no, not me!) They also provide morning coffee in the lobby and iced water with lemon, lime or grapefruit in the afternoon. The staff is friendly, and the location (like many other hotels around the Plaza) is centrally located. They also have a nice bar with live music in the evenings and a relaxing veranda to sit and relax.

We loved this little hotel. Got a great deal on expedia for $77 dollars a night, but would have paid full price. Our jr. Suite had it's own fireplace, ( the bellhop prepared the fire) very comfortable with a upscale cabin feeling. The breakfast burritos next door are a plus also. This was our favorite place we stayed at on this trip ( this includes places we paid a lot more for). Stay here and enjoy

Great, charming little hotel...looks just how you would image if you were in Santa Fe....chili Ristras hanging from the rafters, adobe architecture, roaring fire in lobby. We stayed for only $85/night (early November) via on-line booking at http://Expedia.com. Regular direct booking price was $119.00!!! Perfect CENTRAL location as it is right off the Plaza. No restaurant, just a small bar, but many great eateries just steps away. Next door to the famed $$$$ Inn at Anasazi (i.e. good, safe neighborhood). Coffee in the lobby for hotel guests in a.m., as well as coffee maker in room. Clean rooms, nice amenities, and friendly staff. Would suggest replacing current towels/sheet inventory as they are a bit worn. Nice new ones would be great...get 'em cheap from Target!!

I have no complaints about this hotel and would definately consider staying here if I came back to Santa Fe. The room was about $110 a night, plus $14 for parking, but the location is unbeatable. The rooms are in a little courtyard and each have cute little balconies. We barely spent any time in the room, but the staff was really helpful and offered suggestions for dining and gave us a map, the beds were comfy and internet was free.

They wanted to charge us around $165 per night but somehow my bf got it down to $119 which was much better for what we got. The layout is weird-they have really long hallways meaning you have to carry your bags a long way with no trolley. The interiors were dated and very dark. We could not find any light switches. It was in a great location- $99 feels like the right price for this place. Anything more is overpriced!

Ok! I wanted to love this charming Hotel in the heart of old town Santa Fe but I didn't. The look of the Hotel is cute and there are fireplaces in the rooms... big King sized beds, but when I turned down the sheets they were dirty! The pillow cases had make-up on them and there was black lint from the guests socks that had slept in the bed before, the worst part was when the front desk girl came to bring new sheets and pillow cases we noticed that the mattress cover was stained as well, little brown spots, blood spots and blue stuff... Yuck... I'm grossed out thinking about having to sleep in this bed now! Ugh Hope I get a refund tomorrow!

This is a cozy and quaint hotel that I believe is part of a chain but has a boutique hotel feel. Each morning the courtyard is filled with the lovely scent of pinon, and in the colder months a nice toasty fire is burning in the lobby and lounge. The view from outside our front door was marvelous. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd and awkward to maneuver through--and so are the rooms. Lightswitches are in weird places, furniture is placed in spots that make it difficult to walk around, and even with all the lights blazing the rooms are dark. Some of the rooms feature a bizarre staircase to nowhere . . . plopped in the middle of several rooms is a staircase leading downward and leading only to another door that you'll never have any reason to use. If you're old, wobbly, drunk, or inattentive you can easily plummet right down that staircase as you're trying to wend your way to the bathroom or refrigerator. The folks at the desk have some communciations issues . . . it took multiple tries to get one of them to understand a simple inquiry, and at another time I caught the night desk man sleeping on the job. The lounge gets really busy on the weekends, and on one night the fratboys and sorority dorks were really taking over the whole lobby. It's nice to have a lounge (and it's usually pretty mellow in there), but if you are concerned about such things you should know that there are no dining amenities here. But those are really all of the negative things I can say about the Plaza Real. I'd stay there again because it is pretty charming and its convenience is exceptional--it is very near the square (lots of shopping and dining) and 2 doors down from a good down-to-earth breakfast place. If you want a ritzy experience, stay at the Inn of the Anasazi right next door. If you want a more affordable experience and the charm of a cozy little hotel, try the Plaza Real.
