We just returned from Tarifa, Spain and lets just say it was amazing!  We stayed at this one of a kind hotel, Arte Vida.  It is the epitome of a kite surfer's delight (windy).  The hotel is located right on the beach in Tarifa and it is not your usual tourist hotel.  It is very artsy fartsy kind of place.  In front of our room they have 15 different kinds of lounge, chillin, sofas where you can chill out and take it the view of the ocean.  There is a bar outside beside the lounge chairs and amazing chill type Ibizia/Brazillian type music.  It is a young hip hotel with a lot of surfer types but with families.  It is kid friendly, adult friendly, topless tanning friendly, you name it. It was a very relaxed place for the free spirited mind.  The staff was so friendly and pleasant, the cost was affordable at 100 Euros a night including your European breakfast every morning.  The dining area over looks the ocean where you can see the mountains of Morocco. Oh, and finally the food is out of the world. The chef is amazing.  Everything from pasta to seafood (Pajella.)  It was a truly amazing experience and we will definitely be returning. Our kids loved it!!! There are not much activities for the kids but the hotel is on the beach so there is not much more they really need.  The only downfall is that the rooms are pretty small for a family of four but for two people it is very comfortable.  If you are ever in Tarifa, Spain I highly recommend this place.  If you fancy luxury and being pampered then this is not the place for you. But if you are an outdoorsy, beachy, surfing kind of person that loves to chill or party then this is the place for you.. Cheers!!
