Gorgeous hotel in the middle of everything! GREAT location! It's where everything happens!
The bathrooms, the lobby, and the restaurant/bar are all great! There's another room with a fire pit to stay warm and have a quiet conversation with a date after your dinner at BOKA.
Let me start by saying that I deliberated between Pan Pacific and Hotel 1000 for about a month before I finally chose Hotel 1000.
Please for those of you doubting yourselves or torn between Hotel 1000 and somewhere else, I have one thing to point out: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!
Before making my decision, I was contacted by a social media coordinator, who read my forum post asking about Hotel 1000. She gave me some insight into the hotel and even put me in touch with a manager who could take care of a concern I had. They have a policy to charge an authorization one nights charge plus $200 per night upon arrival. This is ONLY an authorization. We were going to be there 4 nights so $1000 plus seemed ridiculous. Upon check in, they only authorized for $400. We didnt even have to ask her to do it, but she accommodated us.
Upon check in, the doormen were super cute and nice. Miko at the front desk was helpful, friendly and a fellow foodie so we would often touch base with her when we came and went. The concierge was excellent. Eric made reservations for us before we even got there, gave great advice, followed up with us and as a nice touch send us a free appetizer to the waterfront grill where he had recommended us to. His tip was earned:)
The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable. Our double bed room was on the 12th floor with a city view which was just fine with us. We were told they only have ONE room with double beds that faces the water view and it was taken. Its noisy only if you open the window which opens only slightly. The bathroom is amazing (yes water from the ceiling- took baths everyday). The beds are AWESOME, bar is really cool, the safe came in handy, the tv screen-savers were fun, loved the ipod deck, turn down service everyday, helpful staff 24/7 and great products in the bathroom.
AGAIN, when in doubt, LOCATION. Seattle has hills like SF. Do not disregard this as it will add to the time when trying to go to Pikes place, anywhere near the water and generally the heart of downtown. We were a 5 min walk away from Pikes place, the library, the water and so much more. OUr taxi rides were never more than $10 for ANYWHERE we went. LOVED LOVED LOVED this. Saved so much money staying here because of this.
We really didnt want to leave the hotel on the last day. Even weeks after our trip we are still talking about our cozy room, the beds and our friends who work there.
Hotel 1000 has the class, sophistication, polish, and service you want in a spendy downtown hotel. It's also got modern awesomeness that surprised me on my first visit. Doorbells, electronic "do not disturb" signs, a bar that tells the front desk when you're out of stuff. Hot. There's also a virtual golf room where you can pick your course and "play." It totally puts that game with the roller ball thing to shame.
Our room had a tub with a ceiling faucet. It was soooo sexy, water pouring out from the ceiling. The rooms were decorated with a very sleek eye. Nice art, cool vases etc. It's also very quiet. I don't recall hearing the buzzing street below, or any of the neighbors. (Although I can't say for sure if the neighbors heard us. heh heh)
Boka (the restaurant) has great bartenders. The front desk staff is genuinely warm. The valets remember you. Whatever they're feeding the staff at that place, it's working.
Comfy beds with soft sheets, too. Awesome downtown location.
Great recommendation for anyone coming to visit who wants comfort and amenities but not in a predictable setting like the Hyatt. This place has style, and a smattering of luxury.
I live in Seattle, but when I want to fall in love with the city all over again I spend a night in a swanky hotel.
I really love the dark ambience of this quietly luxurious hotel. The room is perfectly appointed. The comfortable bed and the fabulous bathtub were the best parts. Service is excellent. I didn't try the restaurant, but the room service meals were really good.
This is actually a 4.5!!!!
The location rocks! If you want to walk down to the ferry..be near Pikes Place wonderful! If you want to be able to enjoy city life style even better.
The Service 5 stars ALL THE WAY. Everyone is kind, respectful and very knowledgable - giving fantastic advice.
The Rooms - I stayed in the smallest option and let me tell the best room i have stayed in. The beds so comfy...the tub wonderful! I had planned on being in the hotel for 2 nights and changed it to 5 NIGHTS.
The SPAAH...amazing massage...get ROBERT...
LOVE THE CHAMPAIGN. Every night i would get more and more!
The Restaurant Below a treat!
The BAD...yes there is bad..even with 5 stars
The Bathroom FLOOR. Ask for extra towels. No joke the floor was constantly wet from the shower spilling out...there is no drainage.
But basically this is a huge huge plus of a place. Worth the money...SPOIL YOURSELF
My girlfriend suprised me with a stay here last Friday. It was amazing, the service, the food, the room... I had a great stay, absolutely nothing negative to say here.
This hotel is FABULOUS! My husband and I just got married here on Saturday and everything was perfect! Donna, our catering contact made sure everything flowed seamlessly, even though our wedding party had a total of seven people! We were married down in the wine cellar (very neat!) and then had a catered dinner upstairs in our suite. The food was phenomenal and the service was beyond excellent, if anyone at the table even looked like they needed something, our server was right by their side with a glass of water or a bottle of wine. I was especially impressed with the valet staff who put up with many back and forth trips to the hotel for set up - they didn't mind that we would park in front of the hotel for 5 or 10 minutes at a time throughout the day, I'm used to fancier places really making you feel like they are put out to actually help customers.
We stayed in an executive suite for the night, the bed was huge and plush, the bathtub was more than enough for two and the fill from the ceiling thing was just too awesome for words. The shower had two shower heads - one in the middle and one in the corner, the bathroom alone really made me wish we were planning on staying a few more nights :) We also got a wedding card and bottle of (real) Champagne from the hotel manager wishing us a happy wedding day along with some yummy chocolates. I could go on and on about how wonderful this hotel is...needless to say, I will plan on staying here for any future special occasions and will recommend it to all of my friends!
There are so many reasons to stay at this hotel:
*Great location - centrally located between Pike Market and Pioneer Square. It's a few minutes walk to both of these great places as well as to the Pier.
*Great service - everyone at the hotel are friendly and helpful. We were very well taken cared of!
*Great room - our room was comfortable and stylish. Hi tech as well. You can even hook up your laptop to view on the large flat screen tv! Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel.
*Free drinks - there were always free drinks by the front desk. The lavender lemonade was delicious! Coffee and champagne were also available during different times of the day.
*BOKA - the restaurant on site has wonderful food. Great breakfast, happy hour and dessert!
The only weird experience we had at Hotel 1000 was when we needed a cab one day. There wasn't a cab right there when we needed, but we didn't mind waiting a few minutes for one. All of a sudden, one of the guy working there flagged down someone across the street to bring a town car over. We didn't need to go far and certainly weren't going to pay for a town car. That was just a little shady.
Oh, I also have an issue with the shampoo and conditioner. For some reason, it took a lot of shampoo to get a good lather and even more conditioner to detangle my hair. My arms got tired as it took about 50 pumps of shampoo and 100 pumps of conditioner to do the job. And I only have shoulder length hair!
The issues I have with this place are very minor. I will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Seattle.
This hotel is fantastic the hotel is located in downtown which is great there is a bunch of stuff to do around it. This is a cool place to stay. The service is great and they are very accomidating.
The room is comfortable and hi tech, Wi-fi is free throught the hotel, another plus is they have free drinks by the front desk. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. I would stay here again next time I'm back in Seattle.
Phenominal, fantastic, absolutely blown away!
Everything from the elevator buttons to the bedsheets had a polished, refined, feel to it. The hotel is very similar to the W hotel chain in trendiness and hipness but the service was really outstanding. Every hotel employee (I mean, EVERY single person) greeted me with a smile and a salutation everywhere I went.
I checked in with Casey at the front desk and let me tell you...he hooked me up big time. I came in after a long day of work and looking visibly extinguished, requested from him a high floor room. Instead, he upgraded me to a suite...FOR FREE!!!. I couldn't believe the room when I walked in. Massive bathroom with waterfall tub. Glass shower, views of the downtown and the water. Plus the rooms have distinctive art pieces throughout including the bathroom. Very chic. 2 LCD TVs with laptop and ipod connectivity...fabulous. Free WIFI...check.
I want to also thank Dana Cox, head concierge (who no longer works at the hotel :-() for his excellent guidance on my special occasion. What special occasion? Well, I decided to propose to my girlfriend by flying her up to Seattle for the night. I was going to do it at Snoqualmie Falls just outside of the city but after Casey hooked me with the suite, I changed my plans!
Dana had his florist prepare a floral arrangement for $75 (a very reasonable cost - I would have payed double in LA) as well a bottle of Schramsberg Rose ($74 on the wine list at the hotel restaurant but he got it from Trader Joes for $15...sweet) and chocolate covered strawberries for the hotel suite upon our return from dinner at Snowqualmie Falls.
Cutting to the chase, she said yes and as we left Seattle the next day to Detroit, we received so many compliments on the flowers in Seattle, Chicago, Detroit, the airplanes, shuttles, cabs, etc that I lost count. Everyone was in love with the flowers (and the ring of course!!). Dana did a remarkable job and I am saddened to see him leave.
All in all, Casey and Dana made my stay at Hotel 1000 amazing. I won't even go into the virtual golf course they have and the excellent gym. All super cool. The clientèle at the hotel seemed to be young and trendy, artsy, marketing types. If you are into that sort of thing, you will certainly like this place.
Oh, last thing to mention, Boka restaurant. Besides offering ridiculously overpriced Schramsberg Rose, their food was average. Nothing to write home about. Appetizers definitely on the small side. But again, service super super friendly. I had ordered goat cheese gnocchi as an appetizer and they forgot to put the order in. At least, that's what they told me because, honestly, I had completely forgotten about it myself. But they acknowledged their mistake, and comp'd the appetizer for me. I didn't even raise my voice, an eyebrow, nothing. Completely voluntary on their part.
Again, blown away. Excellent service. Friendly and accommodating staff. Fun and hip atmosphere. I've stayed at W's, Westins, the Gramercy Park Hotel in NYC, and none of them compare.
I will only stay at The Hotel 1000 when I am in Seattle and I will certainly check out their other properties around the country (Bardessano in Napa came highly recommended from Dana).
Oh, and very last thing...price wise, kind of on the pricier side but I found a great deal on http://hotels.com. It was made even better with Casey's free suite upgrade.
Cheers!
I stayed at Hotel 1000 again last weekend....I've now stayed at the hotel about a half dozen times or more. Not ONCE have I been disappointed with ANY ASPECT of the service, from the front desk reception to the room service to the Spaaaah! to (especially) the wonderful concierges.
A hotel experience doesn't get much better than this. Unfortunately, after staying at Hotel 1000, the level of service you'll be expecting on your next trip will be so high that you'll inevitably be underwhelmed if you stay anywhere else.
I can't wait to get back to Seattle for my next Hotel 1000 experience.

This hotel is my favorite hotel in the world...and it's right in my own backyard. You can tell the measure of a hotel when you are willing to stay there even though you live about 20 minutes away.
I have stayed at the Hotel 1000 three separate times and I have never been disappointed. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The decor is warm and soothing with wonderful varying textures, be it on the furniture, in the linens or on the walls. The bathroom is light and spacious. I love the deep tub with the water coming from the ceiling, such a fun touch! The peepshow window shade in the bathroom is fun and seductive.
What I find great about the hotel is the service. The front desk remembers you and your preferences each time you come back. The valets are quick and nice. I love having cocktails and relaxing in the restaurant BOKA. Their bartenders are great mixologists and friendly as well.
This whole property is top notch to me. I look for any reason to stay there and it's always my first suggestion when people are looking for hotels in Downtown Seattle. Hotel 1000 has a repeat customer in me!
There aren't enough words to convey how amazing this hotel is.
From the moment we stepped through the door during our arrival to the moment we walked outside to depart for home, we were treated like royalty.
Everyone was perfect and went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate my fiance and I. I ordered flowers ahead of time and they were waiting in the room and perfect - excellent bouquet. When I ordered champagne and strawberries they were waiting in the room exactly when promised.
Every morning we ordered room service and not only were they punctual, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and fun.
When we had a medical issue at 4 in the morning the concierge and front desk staff had an emergency room address and a town car waiting at the curb as soon as we set foot out of the elevator. They checked on us several times after returning home from the hospital to ensure everything was okay.
We didn't use the library but we did cruise through and check it out. The lounge on the first floor was comfy and mellow - perfect for relaxing with a mid afternoon snack before heading off to more tourist spots.
The concierge was on point in every way - he even went as far as to say he would have brought me a suit jacket from home had I told him I needed one last minute. So adorable and kind.
I wish EVERY hotel in the world could be as perfect as this one.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 1000. The room was amazing and had great features. We were on the 6th floor and could hear some of the city noise during the night.
Note: No one told us this but call valet before you check out so you don't have to wait several minutes for your car.
It is really rare I would try a place like this - I usually try to use hotel points with Hilton, then go through Priceline. When both failed for my 5th anniversary, I decided to try Hotel 1000 after great reviews on this side and TripAdvisor.
I didn't know how a place like this could live up to my expectations after all the great reviews, but it exceeded all my expectations.
The room was absolutely amazing, in-room coffee was done with a french press, they had wine and a card delivered for our anniversary, and put us on the 12th floor with a great view of the water.
The only slight irritation with this hotel was the exercise facility - there were only three working cardio machines and they were full every morning I went down there. WIth how popular this hotel is and it's high occupancy, they may need to find a way to expand the exercise facilities. (I can't say I was overly upset, I was able to walk two blocks then run a few miles on the bike trail next to the harbor).
Great place!
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! Was searching for a hotel with 24 hour room service. We ended up finding a whole lot more! Wanted to get away for the weekend, and this is definitly our new favorite in Seattle. Everything is superb, we stayed in a suite and it was a perfect size. No need to write too much, its great and definitly worth the money.
I had my reservation at edgewater but canceled it after reading some reviews about this place. This is as good as it gets but i was hoping it was closer to the water, we got a 12th floor room so we could see the water clearly but we are a few blocks away. The room is great. water from the ceiling into the tub. We actually took a bath just becuase of that. The whole bathroom is cool. Bed is very comfortable and lots of other cool things. I would stay here again but wouldnt mind checking out so other options.
Great Hospitality, Awesome Interior Aesthetics, Great Service all contributes to a great customer experience. Highly recommended for business travel. I've stayed at this hotel for the 20 times I've traveled to Seattle and must say, I wouldn't prefer any where else. Right when you walk in, you're treated with great respects and can fully feel the modern japanese aesthetic in the lobby. The room is pure luxurious: 3/4 of glass windows surrounded the room overlooking the bay. The bathtub filled from a spout on the ceiling. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and responsive. Very quiet, very ambient, clean, professional, sophisticating, and mature. Great to come back to for relaxation and enjoyment after a long day.
Well there's a reason why this hotel is a solid 5 star out of 5 star on yelp after so many reviews. Because it *IS* that good.
I travel a load for work, and I would say I am a pretty experienced traveler/hotel person. So when I say this place deserves 5 star, it has to meet some very high expectations, luckily they were all met.
From the minute I arrived at the curb, to the morning I left, nothing was left out. The service is impeccable. The room is stunning. It has a very modern and chic feeling to it, yet at the same time unpretentious and simple. The room makes you not even want to get out of the hotel. Bed is ultra comfortable, the space is amazing. I got a city view deluxe room, and it was a corner unit, so it actually got a nice water view as well. The star of the stay is the bathroom. It's how you would want your bathroom to be done if you had a million dollar home. Marble through and through, separate stalls and a tub that gets filled from water flowing from the top. Absolutely amazing and luxurious.
Downstairs has a nice SPA, the facial and massage were both very good. I had a nice day there. Great gym for a workout as well.
Oh the hotel is located in a great location too, just a few blocks to all of downtown's activities. Pike's market or great restaurants are all within walking distance.
There's like absolutely nothing to complain about this place. I highly recommend it. If you gotta come to Seattle and stay downtown, stay at this fabulous hotel.
This Hotel has thought of EVERYTHING! I am now a repeat offender of Hotel 1000. My second stay was just like when you watch a movie for the second time and notice details that were overlooked the first time, and end up liking it more and more. they really role out the red carpet when you arrive- valet escorted us in and offered us champagne with check-in! I was then told about the golf simulation offered by the awesome gym-2 things I did not check out my first time there-wow (SO COOL)! Once we got to our beautiful room I noticed how modern this hotel is: automatic window coverings, IPOD adapter, tranquility video playing on the TV, the bathtub faucet coming from the ceiling! I am so impressed by this hotel, I wish there was one in every city! The staff is truly amazing-I don't know where they found these people because I have never been so well taken care of by people who's efforts seem truly genuine. Room service was delicious and arrived very promptly, not to mention each time i got my car from valet it was stocked with a fresh bottle of water. The service really makes you feel like you are on vacation (even if you are traveling for work). I recommend this hotel over any other place in Seattle, Bellevue, and Kirkland!!!

This has to be the best place to stay in Seattle. I stayed two nights while in town looking for a place to live in Seattle, and it was an incredible experience. The rooms are gorgeous with incredible bathrooms (the tub fills with water poured from the ceiling..pretty cool). The beds were very comfortable and there was a big flat screen mounted on the wall.
Right before I checked into the hotel, I forgot my cell phone in a cab. I was incredibly distressed, as I had a ton of calls that I had to make that first night. I was very happy to find out that local and long distance calls were both free. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere where long distance calls were free. Most places nickel and dime you to death. Becuase of this I was able to make all of my calls back to LA, while calling my cell phone over and over until the cab driver answered it. I got my work done and got my phone back. In the morning, the front desk associate asked me if I was able to find my phone, so they must have entered something into the computer. Great service.
Stay here if you get a chance.
What a beautiful hotel! I've stayed here a couple times, and this last time I was lucky enough to stay in the Grand suite. It made me want to to a better job of decorating my little apartment. Anyhow, word of advice--never let anyone control the electronic bidet for you--make sure you do that yourself. Oh, and visit the Spahh downstairs. The massage therapist had the warmest, softest hands, and the facial was very relaxing. All the products smelled so good. When you visit Boka, be sure and have the grilled cheese and tomato soup
Six stars if there was room. A bit pricey but it's in Downtown with a great location. 5 blocks from Pike Place Market and 2-3 from the waterfront. Room was excellent. Nice & spacious; I love the color scheme and the decor. The water pouring from the ceiling is so great.
Room service and all the employees in the lobby were very friendly and helpful. Gave us maps and always asked if we needed a cab or needed to know where to go.
Very personalized, had our names on the TV and telephone. Would come back in a heartbeat.
A calm, quiet, and beauuuutiful oasis centered amongst Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market, and Pacific Place shopping district. Love the Studio lounge for late night drinks around the fire pit, while being serenaded by a neo-flamenco guitarist in very hip crocodile boots.
Spacious rooms with great views are appointed in classy, contemporary garb. The bathrooms are impressive, and the tubs comfortably accommodate two. Tho the water pouring from the ceiling is a wee bit unnerving, particularly if you need a warm-up mid soak. You should note that there isn't much privacy for the toilet area, just an etched glass door for separation. Could be troublesome for shy individuals. The bedding is scrumptious, the pillows filled with feathery goodness. The mattresses are very, very firm. Flat screen TVs with several channels running reels of picturesque world scenes (nice background visuals), ipod hookup, solid wireless connection.
I doubt you'll find better service at any hotel in Seattle. They've got a trick where the valet knows who you are as you pull up to the hotel - even the very first time. Hooked up with the DMV? And they radio the front desk, so they too greet you by name as you enter. The valets all look like Justin Timberlake.
Bottom line... a truly wonderful experience.
I went to Seattle for a customer service training and this hotel could have taught the class. They are 100% on top of their game. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Every need was meet.
On my last day, i went to the spa and it was fantastic. It's a smaller spa than I am used to but it is really nice. The hotel decor follows through to the spa to create a totally relaxing space. I had the hot stone massage and it was wonderful. The front desk gave me a 10% coupon for the spa so it was such a treat.
The room was amazing - I loved it, it was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the whole concept of the bathroom blew me away - water comes out from the ceiling! How cool is that?
I will come back, in fact I am thinking of coming back in July because this hotel rocked my world!
I love staying at hotels on my bdays and this one was the first pick. Loved it!!!!! We got the corner room which had a downtown view/water view. It was soo beautiful. The hotel staff were superb on their cutomer service they were always super polite and came up right away whenever we needed anything, This hotel also has virtual golf, a spa, and the Boka restaurant.
The bathroom had a heavy sliding door, the bathtub water came out from the ceiling I had a nice morning bath hehe.. ahhh wish I could have stayed there longer. Clean and modern. It's a great place for couples. to go down to their Spaahh and relax..And you can also do some downtown shopping..
Overall this hotel is on point! lol, You have to be there to experience it!
I really wanted to like this hotel. One of few times that a yelp find kind of let me down.
Booked a water view room over the phone for a 2-room suite on a weekend for my sister's visit to UW. Told that it will be either 7th or 14th floor depending on check in and she'd mark down a preference for 14.
Stop by Friday right at 4 to check in, looking forward to heading up and getting some work out of the way while my sister finishers her visitor's day. [1st employee] at front desk is friendly and starts to check me into a room on the 5th floor. I tell him what I was told on the phone and he says she must have been mixed up because they didn't have any... oh wait there's one on the 14th floor with a water view but it will be a little while because they're replacing one of the TVs. I say no problem, just give me a call when the room is ready. He says the keys will be waiting at the front desk. Head off to check out more of Seattle. A few hours go by and no call from the front desk. I call in at 8:30 to ask if the room is ready and they say they're really sorry that no one called but yes the room is ready and come on down. Get back to the hotel around 9:30 and [employee 2] is at the front desk now. I tell him my name and that the keys should be waiting. He said there are no keys but can check me into a different smaller room with no view. I ask what happened to the room I checked into earlier and he has no idea. At this point I'm a little annoyed given the hassle so far and he says "oh, there's a room on the 9th floor with a water view" so we head up there to settle in and.... it's a tiny 1-bed room; my sister and I are old enough to have our own beds. Another call down, another apology at the front desk from [employee 3] and they're checking on it and she'll call me right back. 5 minutes later front desk calls and they're sorry for all the hassle but can't find another room and would like to offer me free parking.
Ok.
I let her know that the free parking is a nice offer despite the fact that I didn't park there but what I would really want is the room that I booked and paid for and that the 1-bed room will not work for my sister and I. She says hang on let me check something and she'll call right back. 10 minutes goes by and suddenly the lights in the room start flashing and the TV goes off. I call down to ask what's going on (at this point I'm thinking I might be on a reality show, like I'm getting Punk'd). She says oh [employee 2] must be at the door. I open the door and as he's walking back towards the elevator, he stops and says ah good we've got a suite set up for you down the other end of the hall. We grab our bags and head over to our one-window room facing a brick wall. No bath tub with water from the ceiling that I was looking forward to after reading reviews (and told my room would have both over the phone and when I originally checked in).
We head out to dinner (I let them know I'm still a bit peeved but don't want to deal with it any more that night). Get back later and the internet connection in the room isn't working. After 30 minutes trying to get it to work (had to send out work emails) and sitting on hold for their "internet customer service" and talking to 2 more people at the front desk I'm told the entire hotel internet connection is down. Could have just told me that originally.
Finally, time to go to bed.. pull out the 2nd bed and there's no linens. Check the closet, nope. Once again, they seem to have forgotten that this is for my sister and I. Call down (I think the 10th call to the front desk so far) and they say sorry we'll send that right up. 20 minutes go by and nothing (not kidding, these are actual times). I call down again and offer to come down and pick it up myself if that's easier. Again, a "no, I'm so sorry, I'll bring it up myself immediately". 15 minutes later housekeeping arrives with... 5 flat sheets (so much for bringing it up herself). I have to ask the housekeeper to go and grab a blanket. I borrow a couple of pillows from the king bed and finally get to sleep around 2am.
Wireless was still down in the morning but was able to get some work done on the now-functioning wired internet using their high-speed internet "lite" service... you have to pay $10 for actual high-speed internet.
Room service came with breakfast with a bill that didn't match the menu. He just shrugged and said he doesn't know what the menu says it costs. What's listed as a $12 continental breakfast ends up costing $22 and I get a dry look for leaving a few dollars as tip.
The hotel did continue to offer to try to make it up over the course of the weekend but it wasn't until I was actually checking out that they offered anything worthwhile. I'm glad they adjusted something but I'd rather they didn't have to and we could have just had a nice weekend in the city with a nice hotel to come back to. I'd have to stick to the Watertown Hotel or 4S in the future.
this hotel rocks! normally, i would stay at a starwood property but since they were sold out i decided to look into other options. after reading everyone else's review i decided to give hotel 1000 a try and i'm glad i did.
the service here is superb and extremely friendly! it rivals the four seasons, fairmont and any other high end hotels. i happened to be checking in on the 3rd anniversary so they were offering free champagne and lavender lemonade the entire day.
the rooms are modern and fairly standard. however, it is the bathrooms that are a huge standout! the bathroom has a good size shower that is separate from the bath tub. the bath tub is a modern looking stand alone unit with the faucet situated in the ceiling. you turn the faucet on and a jet stream of water comes out of the ceiling and fills the tub. it is pretty awesome! i want one of these in my home.
i booked a water view room but was a little disappointed. the water view was obstructed due to a big building across the street. i was on the 12 floor (which is second to the top) and that didn't help much. in order to see the water you had to look either left or right. other than that i really have zero issues with this hotel. i would definitely stay here again.
One of the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel.. granted it was also Valentine's weekend so I was a little biased ;) My bf treated me to one of the suites on the top floor.. the shower was HUGE, bed was comfortable, everything was beautiful. Also had a couple's massage at the spaaaah there as well. Can we talk about the red velvet cupcakes they had waiting for us after our massages. Ridiculous. The entire experience just swept me off my feet - definitely recommend for a special occasion!

it is as good as everyone( sans the obviously too cool) says. really. -- scoreboard. you don't even need to read them one review after another. Seriously, these guys know what they are doing. every aspect of the experience was phenomenal. I want to go back to Seattle just to go to the hotel.
Ahhhh.. heaven.. love at first sight.. I walked into room 813 and my mouth dropped open. Large sunken bathtub with water that comes out of the ceiling "faucet" spa style floors (not tile but some type of stone). The bathroom is separated by glass from the bedroom but you can use the privacy screen if you prefer. The bed was comfortable, lighting gorgeous, large flat screen tv, full bar and did I mention free calls to anywhere in the USA?
Don't want to be disturbed? Don't bother looking for the floppy sign to put on your door knob, just click the button right next to the door!
Another thing I enjoyed was the lotion and soap that comes from a pump rather than individual bottles that often go to waste.
You feel like you are on vacation and will not want to leave!
Want to unwind with a glass of wine? Just off the lobby you can sit in a room with a large fire pit and enjoy the scenery.
I will return anytime I am in Seattle and look forward to more long baths in that amazing tub!
Have you ever imagined a waterfall and Glass walls in your room?
Well if you answered yes, then your imagination comes to life at Hotel 1000. I have never been so amazed at a hotel in my entire life. Usually there is one aspect that disappoints me, but this hotel failed to do so. Being in a room here is Princess status, and you definitely get what you pay for.
Clean, modern, fancy, with great service all around. From the point of pulling up to parking valet, gentlemen opening the front door, and a fancy wood ice machine/box on the way to the room.
The rooms are simply breathtaking:
1. Bathroom: Separated between the bedroom with a GLASS wall! Push the button and the shield rolls down for privacy. And not your normal bathtub! Water falls from the ceiling! A separate door for the bathroom & shower as well. Also, nice hand soap and top it off with lotion-which smelled fabulous.
2. Bedroom: Clean, and well designed. And of course, a nice LCD TV to surf channels with!
3. Snacks-Always expensive! So don't pick up that bottle of wine for more than 30 seconds, unless you are serious! They'll charge you if it left its spot for more than the time limit! Yikes...
4. Courtesy call- in roughly 10 minutes of unloading to make sure we had everything we needed. Wow, how considerate.
5. Complimentary Tea w/ mint leaves in the lobby. Yipiee :)
6. I think I see Engravers Gothic on those fancy engraved signs. (Sorry, I'm a nerd).
Highly recommended if you have cash to spare on a nice stay in Seattle!
This was literally the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
Very modern and classy, yet casual at the same time. Such awesome service and so many nice touches:
- Valet greets you by name (Even told my wife Happy Anniversary!)
- I asked for chocolate strawberries for our anniversary, and they gave us chocolates, chocolate strawberries, and champagne at NO COST! (plus they even left us a nice greeting card)
- No ice vending machine... instead they have individual ice bags for your room
- Cool privacy screen that separates the bathroom from the room
- NICE TV with decorative channels like 20th century art or photographs from around the world, or the "Window channel" that had motion scenery
- Nice lighting all around the room
- Great view of the water and downtown
- Bathtub fills FROM THE CEILING... like bathing in a giant kitchen sink
- Very nice robes (silk?) waiting in one of the closets for us
- modern decor and furniture (comfy too)
- valet leaves water bottles in your car
The hotel is walking distance from the fisherman's market and other restaurants. Perfect location.
All this and we were still able to book a weekend trip (flight from SoCal, hotel, and rental car) for less than $700. Awesome. We're going to try to find another hotel in their chain and stay there (they have one in Napa I think)... it was that good.
If we ever find ourselves in Seattle again, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
Absolutely fantastic, A+, best modern boutique-y hotel in Seattle (as of the writing of this review, I'm sure this will be utterly false in a couple of years).
We stayed here for an in-city overnight getaway and loved it. Everything contributes to the lush and modern feel of Hotel 1000 - from the cool lighting in the lobby, to the artisticly lit (but not too dark) hallways, to the panoramic view of Elliot Bay (at least from our room). Little things like the high-tech "do not disturb" buttons and flat screen TV add to the ambiance as well. Then there's killer touches like the like the ceiling-filler for the bathtub and the glass wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom (makes the bedroom appear much larger, and there's a privacy shade you can lower when you're using the tub if you prefer). Total eye candy, but in a functional way.
Definitely a 1st class splurge, but totally worth it (if you ask me, and you did, so I'm telling you).
This is a pretty swanky joint-- hip with a youthful vibe. The place obviously prides itself on technological gadgetry, and it works relatively seamlessly. The rooms are very nice; comfy beds, flat screens, a glass wall separating the tub from the bedroom for voyeuristic good times, high tech phones, and futuristic ambiance.
It's more a destination than a place to sleep. It's the type of place you take your lady to for a casual weekend of dinners, spa treatments, shopping-- ya know, leisure. I wouldn't stay here if your going to be out and about with the kids all day and only really need a place to sleep-- save your dough and stay somewhere else. It's more of an adult vibe than a family vibe.
The service is some of the best I have experienced at any hotel, anywhere.
The restaurant (Boka) is pretty decent. The atmosphere is better than the food, but the food is still pretty good.
The spa is nice. I recommend the deluxe pedi or the couple massage.
If you are into golf, there is a computerized simulator in the basement-- very cool. I played Pebble Beach. It's remarkable realistic and the results prove it. I shot 110 at Pebble, which is about right.
Yes, it's expensive, but worth it for a special weekend away with your chick or dude.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and wonderful staff. The valet guys in particular are chatty and nice, always willing to help with shopping bags, luggage, doors, etc.. the front desk staff is also very helpful. I wanted a candle and they brought it up in moments.
Beautifully decorated and immaculately kept. Clean and comfortable... and I def wouldn't complain about the flat screen tv or soaking tub with frosting glass window that can separate from the bedroom or leave clear to remain part of the entire room. Modern, chic and lovely. I can't wait to take my boyfriend here :)
I hate to be the contrarian but I was NOT impressed by Hotel 1000. To begin, the decor is tacky--think Pottery Barn paraphernalia with the UPC stickers still attached--and uninspired. While the bathtub that fills from the ceiling is novel, it creates quite a din (water falling from twelve feet is pretty deafening) and the tub is definitely not designed to seat two (as advertised). Furthermore, while the service is satisfactory, when my girlfriend and I arrived at 4:00 we had to wait around a half an hour for our room to be prepped. In my mind this was an unacceptably lengthy wait. For the price I expected to be blown away by Hotel 1000, unfortunately I left thoroughly underwhelmed.
PLUS, the valet scratched my car, an injury compounded by the fact that I had to pay him $36 for the privilege of having my car damaged. You can do better than Hotel 1000.
stayed at this hotel and could not have been more pleased!
1) allowed us early check in at 10 am since the room was ready
2) we had problems with the TV getting frozen (we were watching the windows channels!! so much better than actual tv) and they sent up a technician right away who checked everything out and even made sure our sound was working although I hadn't included it in the ticket
3) beds were cozy and clean!
4) amenities are awesome! robes, french press for coffee, all kinds of teas, flat screen television
5) I left my laptop in the shuttle but knew the shuttle was going to the red lion hotel and the concierge did not hesitate to call and help me retrieve my bag
6) Our shuttle was picking us up at 12:30 and they let us have a later checkout
7) room service can be ordered night prior to breakfast! breakfast arrives promptly at the time you specify
8) walking distance to pioneer square, pike and the shoreline.
I LOVED this hotel!!! Got a GREAT deal on http://hotels.com for $179 a night.
Hotel 1000 is a beautiful hotel. Attended a wedding at this location over the weekend and I was won over by the staff and the accommodations.
The ceremony took place in the hotel's greenhouse area and it was absolutely gorgeous with nice weather. If you are looking for a small intimate wedding, this is a great place.
I got to see the suite that the bride and groom were staying in and was also able to take a nap in their tv room. The suite was amazing I would say it would be worth the price for romantic or special occasions.
Overall, a truly amazing hotel in Seattle.
The stay started out as a surprise from my dear bf and it was such an incredible experience. From start to finish this hotel is AMAZING. Although it is kind of hard to find the front (since it is located on the corner of a pretty busy street with only a little dip for valet) I landmarked it by the adult video store that neighbored it. May sound funny, but it definetly was the first thing I saw haha.
Immediately I noticed how friendly everyone seemed to be (the type of customer service you'll find at many stores like Nordstroms, Gelsons and Trader Joes) where people remember your name, smile even if they don't want to and treat you with not cheesy, but geniune respect. I'll admit that it felt nice to be spoiled just a tad :)
The room was huge - the view was breathtaking. I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but we stayed in a suite of some sort with an incredible view that overlooked the water. The bathroom also had a view and the tub was separate from the shower (with a faucet from the ceiling that made a steady stream down to the tub) I've never seen one in person so that alone amazed me.
Room service is 24/7 here (which, if you are like me is a big plus) since we all have those midnight cravings of salty or sweet. We didn't make it to the pool, but the room plus the staff itself deserve a 5 :)
oh i miss it already.
