4 stars for $1 fried cheese on a stick- a promotion they were having for Fourth of July only. Nothing quite celebrates our great nation's independence like processed American cheese covered in sweet batter and deep-fried in a vat of boiling hot oil.
Seriously though, Hot Dog on a Stick has always been a favorite of mine- their corn dogs have always been good and I like their fresh lemonade. Really regrettable employeee uniforms, but they are instantly recognizable. Their fried cheese comes in two flavors- American or Pepper Jack. They fry the cheese until it melts and penetrates the batter - all in all, a wholesome, all-American meal!
Extra star because they offer sugar-free lemonade, flavored by your choice of artificial sweeteners (Splenda, Equal, etc.), as well as lime or cherry lemonade. The lime lemonade is really nice and refreshing and a great way to quench your thirst after wandering the mall.

I know :
Hot Dogs are not good for you.
Corn dogs are not good for you.
Even the delicious veggie corn dog I ate here today is not good for you or me. But mmmmmmmm it was delicious.
Veggie dog dipped in cornmeal batter then deep fried.

But I did walk around Newpark Mall for 3 hours and burned up at "least" 10 calories--worked off that mustard!
And the server was so sweet and patient. And she had to wear that dorky but so bad it's great uniform. (Like the photo from the Internet)
