Really nice looking place from the inside.
They have pretty good nacho.
My advice:
1. Do not sit outside on windy days, or else you will be covered by ashes.
2. Try not to go to the bathroom in here. I think you know why.
3. Order everything you want the very first time. It's impossible to get the waitress attention during busy hours.

I like Hookah Lounge, sometimes the hookahs aren't all that great but the music atmosphere and the new big screen TV's they got are very nice! I suggest not to eat here, I didn't like it, I got the Luleh Sandwich...no. But going with friends and everything is cool. This was the first major Lounge in our area and they throw awesome Halloween as well as New Years parties...Keep up the good work...

Thanks for reading!

This was the first time i actually went to a hookah bar.

Pros:
1. bombass nachos (looks like im saying bombass alot these days..)
2. peach hookah was great.
3. could be as loud as we wanted.

Cons:
1. the 69 one was like "toilet cleaner" taste
2. minti yogurt drink is nothing like yogurt..
3. the couches were not like couches at all.
4. the waitresses might be hot, but they do not know how to give great customer service.

Make sure you bring a deck of cards to play a game of psoy or like egyptian or BS. SOOO fun while smoking. :)

A decent place in Glendale for hookah, says my sister the hookah pro. I will get more details from her but it seems the music is very loud, sometimes they have bad charcoal and is similar to their level of service, hit or miss.

If you dont want to drive to Cafe O or Gitanna in Burbank, try this place out.

NOTE: HOOKAH PLACES ALWAYS INCLUDE THEIR 15% tip. Its standard. It makes sure all the hookah boys get a tip including the staff. Its just the way it is.

I wouldve given it 5 stars but SERVICE is HORRIBLE!!!! the guys walking around constantly asking if wd more charcoal were great but the waitresses seemed to not know jack shit. i also wish they had a wider beer selection.

but the hookah is great! great music, AMAZING food and great atmosphere. i like coming here except i wish there were friendlier servers

This place started off pretty well, good hookah, good service, 2 of us were seated at a table for 4, when a group of 6 came in she asked us to move to another table so she can give them our table I was insulted and asked for the bill and left. If they had not put the gratuity on the bill (which doesn't make sense for 2 people to add 18% gratuity) I would have written some advise for the waitress on there. I used to go here all the time when in LA, but I will never go back here because the rudeness of the waitress.

This is an OK hookah lounge.  They have a good hookah selection and a good menu.  They have a $7 minimum charge per person which I don't like.  So if you want to bring a friend that plans to just hang out for conversation, be prepared.  They will charge every single person at your table a minimum of $7.

The music is ridiculously loud here, and the music is not always that great.  They have an inside sitting area with a DJ.  All the doors are open to the inside, so the music is blasted out the door to the outside sitting area.  Quiet conversations are not gonna happen.  The outside is nicer than the inside.  They recently built a giant wooden canopy over the outside area.  There are also heat lamps outside for when it's cold.

sphinx cafe- decent but small, gypsy cafe- great but a bit crowded, gitana- very nice but not that much indoor seating.

hookah lounge, nice covered tables and couch with pillows, heat lamps, and a very nice indoor lounge area as well. tv's playing the game, strange rave music that brings back old memories, and awesome nachos...and of course hookah that actually lasts a long time and stays mellow even after the fourth set of new charcoal on top.

beer is 5 bucks, bathrooms inside and to the right. staff is friendly and awesome, very attentive with the charcoal which is nice. having a hookah of my own, i say this place knows how to properly make a decent bowl that lasts. other places i've been to overpack it which causes quick charring of the tobacco.

really chill spot that i'd definitely come back to. for u haters, u want some cheese with that whine??? hahahah

The hookah is bad. They use a metal head which makes your sheesha tasteless and burn out within minutes and very bad quality hoses.
The atmosphere is great. It's very traditonal and comfortable. The people are 18-60yrs old. The younger crowd is immature and loud but no one really directly bothers you.
The service is fast and friendly. The security guard was a real sweetheart.
The food looks great, we only had a cupple dips which were incredible.

I love going to a place and hearing trance. The DJ played amazing trance and persian remix songs.
I don't live in glendale but if im in the area i would go back to eat, not smoke.

Fair prices, good hookah, and incredibly diligent waitresses.
Also, it's quite near my house, the mozzarella sticks are comforting as hell, and it's got this really chill atmosphere.

If you're a people watcher, this place is for you - Glendale's demographics come out to play here, and the interaction is quite amusing... a good mix of spoiled-BMW-driving Armenian kids, white skater boys, and elder Russian gentlemen...yes!

I found this place randomly on Google text one night when my friends and I had nothing to do. Since then, it's become a regular hangout spot. Last summer, I was there literally three times a week, at least. Now, I'm there about once every two weeks or so, but I wish I was able to go just as often as last year.

I love the decor inside, and the ambiance outside. There is usually a DJ playing everything from hip-hop to house to middle-eastern music.
The food is good and reasonably priced. I suggest the shish kebob and the koobideh. Also, a side of hummus and fries are a must!
The service is usually great, with fast and friendly waitresses, and consistent, helpful hookah guys. They try their best when it's super busy - like a Friday or weekend night - but yeah it can get pretty hectic there. Be patient, though! Your hookah's being prepared!
I wouldn't rate this place anywhere near five stars if the hookah was just so-so. I've had hookahs at about a dozen other places, and this is by far the best I've had. I usually get peach-apricot-white grape, a mixture first suggested to me by one of the owners, with whom I've since become friends.

Pros: best hookah in town. friendly service. good food.
Cons: can get really busy on a weekend night. the inside is not a great place to just sit around and talk when the DJ is on.
Tips: just park on Colorado on a busy night so that you don't have to worry about double parking in the small lot.

My first experience at Hookah Lounge, was actually with Eddie K. And believe him when he says that for a summer, he had been to HL almost everyday. Although we don't frequent it as much as he had, HL remains as a hangout place to retreat to. It was actually at HL where I had smoked hookah for the very first time. Since then, I've had my fair share of hookahs and HL, in my opinion, has one of the best ones.

The service has always been awesome: the waitresses are fast and efficient, making sure that my cup of tea is never empty; the hookah guys come around constantly, changing the coal even if it's unnecessary and making sure the hookah never becomes too harsh, etc. One of the owners that I met, has always been welcoming and super friendly, which is always great.

Cheers.

This place is awesome. SOme people complain about the 'backyard' feel but I think that's what makes it. Crowd is reliably normal, refreshing from some other bars where its an either/or or a bunch of skanks and gangsters. Everything is cool about it, just easy. Girls working there are hot and girls who come here are hot. Bouncers do an AWESOME job of keeping jerkoffs out and hos out too!!! It's cool to watch.

I love hookah lounge.  I go about once a week these days and I always have a good time.  Armen is awesome and sends me and my friends a free hookah once in a while and the waitresses are all really attentive and friendly.  I just recently had the chicken koobideh sandwich and it was really good.  I've also had the shish kabob which was pretty good as well.  The fries and hummus are awesome for small snacks!

I don't have much experience with hookah so the stuff I get here is just fine and usually the flavors are pretty good.

I live 30-40 minutes away from Glendale but hang out here at least once a week!  They stay open late on the weekends and it's super chill.

This place looks pretty boring and small from the outside but once you go in it's a lot bigger than you think and really cute. Their outdoor area (where we sat) feels like your in someones backyard. They have white lights all over, patio seats and tables and a cute fountain. They do have outdoor heaters for the winter. We sat near one but it was still cold. There's a DJ inside the lounge playing top 40 Hip Hop and House and some old school hip hop but not the cool kind of old school. People dance in there and sit on the couches and smoke hookah. This was my second time going to a hookah place and since the first place served alcohol I figured they all did. Who the hell wants to smoke something and not drink? NOT ME! So yeah no alcohol here people. Anyways, again, since this was my second time I was only able to compare this hookah to the last one and this one kinda sucked. After a few minutes it started to give a really bad taste even though the charcoal was still burning pretty well. I thought it was me that can't smoke that but after reading a few reviews I realized it wasn't me so I don't suck LOL I guess that's what you get for $12? I forgot to mention, their bathroom was broken and toilet didn't flush.

A long time friend contacted me because he needed some advice, so we went to this place that he frequented a lot. The entrance is in the back, which makes it seem like you're going into someone's backyard, however, you are greeted by a big guy at the door that I guess is supposed to check i.d.'s even though this place doesn't really warrant the need for the "big guy". The place is bigger than it looks from the outside with tables sprawling across the patio as well as booth seats against the perimeter, shielded from the view of the outside by thin slits of wood like material, that acts somewhat as a fence. I'm not a hookah enthusiast, however, folks seem to be enjoying their time. This place takes me back to when I was older than 18 but younger than 21, because environment of the place. The service was slow as it looked like there were 3 waitresses that also bussed the place handling the whole place, not to mention, they looked like they were still in high school. One older lady in the kitchen cooking. As we started to talk, rap music started blaring in the back, and once again I was reminded that I am the dinosaur amongst these youngins. Food is ok, not great, but expect your normal fare of chili cheese fries and other such foods as well as the Mediterranean hummus and shawerma stuff.
