Like most beauty schools, Honors offers a full menu of well-priced hair, nail and esthetics services to the public. And, of course, the work is performed by students.
Now, I would probably never go to a beauty school for a hair cut or color because a mistake in that arena is just too permanent for my taste. But, I have been to this school a few times for pedicures, massage and facials. The pedicures are fine if you don't mind low-tech - as in there's no massage chairs with footbaths here and the pedicure is very much like what you would do for yourself. All the basics are covered, but don't expect frou-frou add-ons like aromatherapy oils or hot stones. Massages are fine if you're not looking for a specific modality - I would say best if you just want to relax and zone out - as estheticians don't undergo the more intensive training of a full-fledged massage therapist. But, the facials are almost always a safe bet, haven't had one I was not happy with yet. One of my favorite treatments is the back facial - it feels good and you know that hard-to-get-to skin is getting a thorough pampering.
Honors uses and offers for sale a couple of good skincare lines, including Dr. Temt and Pevonia. The latter makes some products that are particularly good for sensitive skin.
A caveat: massage and esthetics services at Honors are performed in semi-private settings so be prepared to share the room with other clients and their therapists. The atmosphere is usually pretty calm and quiet in the treatment areas, though. Bikini waxes and the like are performed in private rooms.
