"This place is a beautiful, upscale Cantonese banquet restaurant. You won't embarrass your great-uncle from Hong Kong if you take him here…" read more »
If I wanted to be entirely accurate I would write two reviews for this restaurant: A positive one for people who like to eat and a negative one for people who like food.
Hong Kong Buffet serves an all you can eat Chinese and Mongolian Bar-B-Q buffet. $6.45 for lunch and $8.95 for dinner (read the fine print, but it is still a bargain). They offer "More than 20 items from steam table Plus Soup, Salad Bar, Ice Cream, Fruit & Dessert" all of which is true.
Unfortunately it tastes like a bargain. You will walk away full, but you won't have tasted a thing. Boring is the best way to describe it, but you'll notice I haven't said "bad." It isn't bad, it isn't good, it really isn't anything. The wait staff are bored, the music on the radio is bored, the TV channel they flipped to is bored.
This restaurant is meant for too-fat families (mostly non-asian) to come in, stuff themselves and pretend it was a night out. That may sound cruel, but I swear that's who showed up. The wait staff act accordingly; Have you ever watched a farmer fill a feed trough? They walk that long trough line with a blank stare, pouring bland corn feed for cattle day after day. I almost feel sorry for them, but I have a feeling they knew what they were opening.
If you have never had Chinese food anywhere, ever and want to be uncomfortably full, this place is a good choice, but I warn you: Taco Bell gets closer to authentic Mexican, than this place gets to Chinese.

HELLOOOOO PEOPLE...It's a $9.00 buffet and it is pretty damn good for the price. So if you actually are going to get picky about this this place then go to a $15 or $20 buffet in town. My friends and I love hong kong buffet, and have been going there for quite a while. They have a good variety, and mongolian BBQ.

8 Dollars gives you decent buffet with your standard Americanized Chinese food.
The best things are the hand-made potstickers and the "mix it yourself" bowl.
Try having some beef, rice noodles, bean-sprouts with garlic and the oyster sauce. They cook it for you.
Good for delivery too.
Don't expect super authentic or gourmet chinese here.

Average as Asian buffets go. Nothing that stands out except they will cook a bowl of "stuff" for you. Price is ok, but even that's not a bargain. It's so bland it's hard to get any energy to write a decent review.

If you are looking for the best in Asian cuisine this is not it, but for about 8 bucks you can fill yourself up with the buffet and endless fountain drinks. You also can make up your own bowl of meat , veggies ,oils and spices to be cooked and delivered to your table. The beauty of Mongolian BBQ is you get exactly what you want flavored the way you like. They also have the gold standard of fine buffets everywhere..... Soft serve ice cream.
At 1st this place looks like a shabby little place. And it is. Sometimes the shabby little holes in the wall are the best.
I think this place is great. There's a large fresh assortment of your standard Chinese. Sushi. Crab & Prawns. And an excellent Mongolian BBQ. You pack the bowl with noodles, meat & toppings. Pour on your sauces & the guys fries it up right there on the big slab with this big stick.
YUM.
All this for only $8.
Kids are some min. amount per age.
