Imagine if you will the world's largest mug of coffee being emptied into a less than a year old Mac Book Pro. That's what happened yesterday morning when my elbow made contact with my fresh mug o' java. I freaked but managed to turn off the computer, flip it upside down and watched in horror as gallons of coffee (and cream AND maple syrup) flowed from the keyboard. Tilted it and heard SLOSHING from inside - and bawled when an hour later - i was still tilting it this way and that and STILL coffee was leaking out of it. But My husband found Eric - I was skeptical - he works out of his home - he appears to be really young but he handles everything so professionally. He didn't offer me much hope - but said he would do his best. I got home to find Steve Jobs had died ... I made peace with the idea that at least my computer died the same day it's creator did.
I dropped it off with Eric and 24 HOURS LATER he called to let me know THAT MY COMPUTER IS WORKING! I am so very grateful. AND best of all did it for a VERY affordable price. THANKS HONEST COMPUTER GUY! I highly recommend.
* sadly the t, b and k do not work on the laptop - but honestly - having to replace a keyboard is still so much better than the laptop being completely destroyed. -

over charged me! Said that they would be fair on my pricing but still charged me way over what is consider 'Honest Guy'
They charged me $10 material costs just because they used some of their air out of their condensed air can!!!! -

Professional service. Quick turn-around time (within a couple of hours). And on top of that, they even delivered the laptop back to me free of charge (I lived within a 5 mile radius). Would definitely utilize again for any future computer related headaches.

Erik from Honest Guy totally rocks! I had an old POS PC that refused to connect to my WIFI; Erik made it work. Whew! I recommend his services highly...very professional, very smart. Refused to give up until he made it work!

A seemingly dead laptop : 45$ for a diagnosis. ok go. the same day : an estimation for a new part + service 100$ more. ok i accept. 3 days after : good news, they made it without the new part : 75$ for the complete service (diagnosis + reparation). Honest !!!

I am not the most computer literate person around,so when my computer started to act up , I called "geek squad " and a few other computer repair companies in the area, not one of them called back. I checked Craigs List and came across "Honest Guy Computer Repair"
The first thing that won me over was that someone answered the phone, I explained my problem and was told to bring it over (it was Sunday morrning) . The tech Eric was more than understanding and asured me that it would be no problem......He was right ,I got my computer back on Monday afternoon and it has never worked fast.I recommend" Honest Guy Computer Repair" to anyone that needs service done. Fast ,Honest and Reasonable I was very happy -

They are as good as it gets! They do exceptional work and I can't praise them enough for the customer service. Eric translated foreign computer talk to down to earth terms for me. YUP! He explained the problem, the possible cause and offered a solution that didn't hurt the pocketbook. Thank you Honest Guy Computer Repair. You stick to the name :). If only you had a Honest Guy Car Repair.

I called on a Sunday because my Toshiba Netbook wouldn't power on and I was going on vacation soon. I dropped it off that day to Erik who called me back in 15 minutes to tell me that it was only the power button and that he could fix it. A few hours later he was all done at the agreed upon, and very reasonable, price. He saved me from going out and buying a new one. I would absolutely recommend this service and will call them first if I ever have any computer problems.

I have an 8 year old HP laptop, which I expected to die at any moment, ran really slow, etc. It didn't die, and then I got a virus which prevented me from starting the thing up sometimes or running any programs.
Eric from Honest Guy Computer Repair was great. He picked up the computer from my office and dropped it off the next day - right on time both times. The virus is gone and the operating system, which was corrupted, is re-installed - the computer works great. I don't think I lost any important documents during the fix. So, I would definitely recommend Eric and Honest Guy for your computer repairs.
I didn't give the full 5 stars only because the repair wound up costing more than I was initially quoted. A bunch more RAM needed to be installed to make the thing work, apparently. I doubt this was any sort of "upsell", I'm sure it was necessary. But the RAM wound up costing about $45, instead of the $32 I had agreed to when Eric called to check in with me. They didn't have the $32 RAM available so I agreed to get the $45 RAM. Still, that's the only thing that could have gone better. I can't figure out how to give 4.5 stars, but that would be more like it.
Very good work, reasonable price, nice guy, helpful, on time.
