Let's say you have a group of you wanting to go somewhere different for the weekend. Let's say some of you are interested in going to Thunder Valley Casino. And some others are happy to spend hours at mall stores such as Nordstrom's and Macy's. Then get a suite at Homewood Suites in Roseville.
The casino is a mere five miles away. The department stores are within walking distance, though of course it only takes two minutes to drive there. And the suites are comfortable.
Our group took a two-bedroom, two-bath suite where one room had a king-sized bed and the other had two queen-sized beds. Each bathroom was quite spacious -- probably because we were given the accessible room which has wide doorways and lots of floor space. The living room and kitchen are on the small side, but serviceable. It's very convenient having a large fridge for stowing your drinks.
The outdoor pool is small, but heated year-round and there's a small whirlpool that seats 4 adults. Free breakfast!
