I have stayed here a few times now as I have a client whose office is nearby. The location is super convenient - a mere 10 minute drive from IAH. It's close to a lot of restaurants and shopping as well. As for the hotel itself, it is clean and utilitarian - nothing luxurious. But I appreciate having a separate living room area as well as a small kitchen.
There is free breakfast in the morning (you can make a TX waffle with their TX shaped waffle iron) and a "evening reception" nightly where there is food and beer and wine. I also appreciate that there is a guest laundry as I hate to take dirty clothes home.
Free wired internet but no wi-fi. Boo on that. And the reason why this place only gets 3 stars.

Nice, clean hotel with very very helpful front staff. My aunt must have called the front desk 150 times in the 4 days we were there for my cousins wedding. After the first day the guy answering the phone knew her voice and only had to ask what room she would like to be connected to. Its not a luxury hotel, but its at the top for being a nice relaxing family atmosphered hotel.
