I was a little skeptical about the whole 'home made pizza' concept. What do they do, give you a ball of dough and containers of sauce and cheese? Well, it's a bit better than that. The pizza is made fresh for you, with very high quality ingredients. It comes wrapped in plastic on a base of parchment paper and cardboard. You take it home and can cook it that day or even the next day. The parchment goes in the preheated oven right with your pizza.
We ordered the BLT -- spinach, garlic and bacon on tomato sauce with lovely parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The toppings were fantastic but the crust was a big disappointment. We have a pretty new oven and followed the directions exactly, but the crust turned out to be a flaccid, tasteless affair. I think that part of the charm of going out for pizza is that they are cooked in those honkin' hot professional ovens, or even better a woodburning stove. The home oven is no match for it.
I have a good pizza crust recipe and my own pizza stone, so from now on I'll save my 17 bucks and make my own Home Made pizza at home.
Stopped by Homemade Pizza last night! Staff was extremely friendly and the pizza options were great. I ended up getting a delicious Whole Wheat Miesian pizza and substituted the tomato sauce for their olive oil option - absolutely delicious. The pizza was light and crisp, you can tell that their ingredients are high quality. I look forward to returning very soon!
Delicious! The crust booted off a half-star because you really can't beat the crusts made crispy in a restaurant oven. The toppings were excellent and very fresh. The ruby red tomato sauce was delish, and how do they get such fresh spinach in January?
