Stayed here for approximately three months during the summer.  The rooms were big and bright - there are laundry facilities, snack machines.  There was a small kitchenette in the suite.  The time we stayed there they offered a free BBQ or dinner once a week for everyone staying there.  Good way to get to know your neighbors.  I'm not sure if they still do that.  The place is walking distance to a Wal Mart Super Center and Wilma Rudolph (the main drag) which has every type of restaurant including fast food.  The Governors Square Mall is also in this area.  Be aware that there are no sidewalks - I'll never know why people don't like to walk here.  I would recommend this place for long stays - only draw back is there is no pool - and boy is it HOT and humid here in the summer!
