I guess if you're into completely non-authentic Americanized Asian food, this is the place for you! See, I now live in the SF Bay Area, where cheap, authentic ethnic food reigns supreme, and I can't believe Homai was my go-to place for Asian food when I was younger. WOW, how jaded I was.
Do yourself a favor, save your $6 and use it to drive to Sacramento. While Sac doesn't have the awesome places at the caliber that SF or SoCal does, you won't regret the drive when you get some food that actually tastes like what it's supposed too. Not bland tasteless crap to appease the weak palates of...well you know where I'm going with this.
Seriously though, Roseville needs to step up it's game and bring in some authenticity to spice up it's sprawling, cookie-cutter, maddeningly-conservative, suburbia-hell self. I know my mom would appreciate it, instead of begging me to bring her goodies from SF every time I go home to visit. tsk tsk.

this is my daughter's favorite Asian buffet
Recently this location changed ownership: the original owners still operate "Homai Fusion Cuisine" which is about 2 miles North on Foothills Blvd (also in Roseville).
Homai Grand Buffet, is a decent place and very cheap ($5.99 for lunch).
There is a wide variety of items on the serving line, but the sushi choices are lacking in variety.
For me, I'd rather pay a wee bit more money and get more selection and made-to-order sushi at the Homai Fusion.
We just went there recently: NEW OWNERS have changed the name to "HONG KONG BUFFET"
The quality is a wee bit BETTER than before, maybe I'm stoked because the new owners have added some new entrees to the lunch menu. NOW they have shrimp & salt/pepper pork, two items that used to only be found on the dinner menu. (Previously you would only find "Sweet & Sour" pork at lunch)
