10 reviews for Hollywood Burger Co
Pretty good burgers! Dare say this kind of food was needed in the area, and these guys do a good job. I had the special, Cajun Chicken Burger and it was pretty good. Fresh tomatoes, lettuce, Onions, mayo, lots of pickle. Fries are awesome. It's not healthy food mind you, but I don't look for that in general.
It hits the spot pretty good! My tummy is happy :)
After traveling for half of the day to reach Seattle I had built up an appetite.
On the way to the hotel we saw this burger joint and decided to give it a try as soon as we were settled in.
I loved it, if you're looking for a good tasty, juicy burger and fab fries this is your place.
It was all around goodness.
Bonus, they have a popcorn machine and you can always grab a bag of popcorn on your way out, what a treat!
It's not too tough to make a decent hamburger, which is why when you have a really bad hamburger, it sticks in your mind for years to come. Such was a burger I had at Hollywood Burger. The overall experience was not good...
The burger and fries came in a movie theater popcorn bag. Very clever, and it works just as well so no negative points there. But the burger and fries were "presented" on about a three inch layer of buttered popcorn. That's taking the movie theme a bit too far. Burger and fries, on their own, smell tasty. Movie theater popcorn, on it's own, smells tasty. But combine the two and it's just too much for the nose to handle. But again, this only counts against Hollywood Burger slightly...the burger itself would take care of the rest.
I had the patty melt, which is basically a hamburger on rye bread instead of a traditional hamburger bun. Patty melts typically have a burger patty and melted cheese - along with grilled onions. My burger was so greasy that one half of the rye bread was completely soggy. It was so soggy that you couldn't pick it up without your finger going through the bread and into the burger. I had no choice but to remove it entirely and eat the burger "open face", which is not my preferred method. The other half of the bun was soggy as well, but tolerable.
There's a real lack of burger places in the downtown area, especially near 3rd and Marion. But I'll have no problem resisting the temptation of Hollywood Burger. I simply recall that first visit and there's zero temptation left, just a nasty feeling in my stomach.
Not a bad burger joint... with Thai, sushi, salads and other healthy choices, it's surprisingly nice to actually get a burger! Small joint, but they have quite a burger selection, a few more sides than just fries, and about 3 dozen milkshake flavors! I got the burger with the cheddar cheese and peanut butter. Fresh burger along with nice bun and fresh toppings. On Tuesdays they have 2-for-$10. Two burgers, two fries and two drinks... share it with a friend!
Bugers ~ $4.50
Fries ~ $1.50
Milkshakes ~ $3.00
FRENCH FRIES!!! I work in Seattle Municipal Tower, and this is literally the closest place to get good fries. Let's just say that a few days a month, this food oversight makes me CRAZY, and sometimes even desperate enough to eat the giant (and mushy) steak fries at McCormick & Schmick's.
Hollywood Burger has a fantastic, wide-ranging selection of burgers. And if they don't have exactly the combo you crave, if they have the toppings you want, they'll venture off-menu with you. Their fries are really pretty good (and that's not just desperation speaking). Burgers are served in a bag with a few inches of movie-theater-style popcorn in the bottom; I think it's a bit weird, but when the 3 pm munchies hit you back in your office, it doesn't hurt to have a little tiny free snack.
I always get sodas, because I'm scared of the calories involved in milkshakes. However, they look fantastic, and they have lots of flavors, so knock yourself out. If you have to walk uphill to get back to your office, you don't need to feel too bad about it. :-)
Prices are really fair, especially for downtown Seattle. There's a small outdoor dining area shared with the other restaurants in that food court. It fills up fast and early on nice days, so be warned. Your office building probably has a less-crowded area.
I've had their burgers maybe about 5 or 6 times. Each time, really good. Best milkshakes I ever had. I had their breakfast once- never ever again. Ick. But really liked the burgers and shakes.
Eew. I feel gross now. And not in the good way.
Let me break down the hollywood burger for you:
- Bread, oh, lots of bun bread
- Sad, little patty
- Huge ring of onion
- Disappointment.
This joint is crowded and I don't know why. It's also pretty dirty. I feel like I need to take a shower now. Their fries suck too.
I didnt hate it...but didn't think it was anything too memorable. Typical burger joint, but the only one that I know of that is around my work.
Rock!
Food was not enjoyable by any means. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries combo, and the patty was quite thin, and fries were a little soft but had a good seasoning on them. Was a little pricey for the quality of the food, and I probably won't come back to this place.
An ok spot if you have a desire for an burger. Nothing compelling to complain or compliment. Burgers are cooked to a safe temperature, have a charburger taste and lots of salt. They use Tilamook cheese, which is great. The fries are greasy and chewy, but appear to be from real potatoes as opposed to the mystery substance in McD's. They have some variety wtih chicken, salmon and veggie meatless patties as alternatives. They do have a good assortment of shakes and have a basic breakfast menu.
