I used these guys to move a 3 piece couch set from store to my Apt. Showed up on time and got the job done at a very good rate. Very impressed and would recommend them.

I hired these guys about two weeks before our move from Raleigh to Cary. We received great customer service leading up to moving day (getting us scheduled, confirming our appointment, etc), then when the day came we had a bit of a snag. The movers were set to show up at 9am. We waited, and called, and waited, and called. No movers. No one answered the phone at the company. I left a voicemail and sent an e-mail. We waited some more.
Finally, 2 hours later I got a call from the extremely apologetic secretary saying they were having trouble covering our move that day. We weren't incredibly happy to hear that, as my husband had taken the day off and all of our items were boxed at that point. She offered to set us up for the following day, assured us the guys would be there this time, and also threw in a $100 discount.
So, rather than seek out a new company we decided to give Holloway another chance, and I'm glad we did! The guys were there on time, they worked hard and our move was completed in just a little over 2 hours. The price, even before the discount, was very reasonable. $120 transportation fee, $120 per hour for a 3-man team. Norris, Larry and Salik were extremely friendly, kept us laughing, and worked like mad in the 97 degree heat (no easy feat, considering we were in a 3rd floor apartment and have some really bulky/fragile pieces of furniture).
If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I'll round up just because the problem was handled so well. I'll use them again if the need arises. -

I just did another short move within Raleigh with Holloway.
This time, I had a 9am move. The movers showed up early (always good) and were much more careful this time. They only made one small nick in the wall, and let me know about it right away. They were pretty efficient and my move was completed entirely in the morning.
The only negative is that they didn't come prepared with tools to take my bed apart. Since I had dropped by my tools off at my new place (stupid idea) already, I had to get some from a neighbor.
Their prices are still some of the best in Raleigh that I can find.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Just finished a small move from Cary to Raleigh but these guys rocked! Scheduling the crew was a breeze, they showed up on time and they handled all my stuff as if it was their own. If I had done the move myself with a U-Haul it would have taken me days. No hassles with picking up a truck, gassing it up and returning it, whew! The days of moves fueled by pizza and beer are over. And do you really want your friends seeing all the junk in your place?! : )
With Holloway we were talking 3 hours. And very reasonable pricing, $95 transportation fee, $95/hour for a two man team (Tim and Norris) and a 24' truck. Both guys were courteous, hard-working and very cool. So all I can say is if you need to move in the Triangle area, give Holloway a call, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed. And I'm sure your back will appreciate it!
