So first of all I don't get how people can shop if they can't even see what the hell they're buying. That store is too dark for me, it makes me feel the need to get out....they might have some good things on their sale/clearence sections, but that lighting sucks. To top it off I find that store to be somewhat of a maze. Overall the prices are a bit cheaper than A&F. If you ask me the clothes are pretty much the same with a more surfer look than a&f.

I think they are racist too! I was with my friend the other day and she was returning one of their poorly designed pieces of crap clothing and the manager of the store proceeded to tell her that she he won't accept the return because it had already been worn.  Then he proceeded to tell her that she had take the tag off, made a new hole in the tag and put it back on the clothes.  DUDE, are you kidding me?? In a time where so many stores are improving customer service, Hollister which buys clothese from sweat shops and makes 300% profit, they can't comply with the rule of the customer being right??? My friend is still very upset with the treatment she got, and she promises never to shop there again.  I suggest you do the same!

I don't know if I'd say the employees here are 'racist' cause I'm white. Maybe they discriminate anyone who isn't young, and well, wearing Hollister?

Check this out....

My daughter is 13 and having a horrid time in middle school. Remember those awful years? Well she HAS to have a Hollister sweatshirt to be 'cool'. *whateva*  We head there around 4pm on a Tuesday to check them out.

The girl at the front doesn't acknowledge me but the guy says hello.  We walk around and around checking out ALL the sweatshirts. DUDE they must have 30-40 different colors/styles. As I'm walking around I see a semi-cute sweater jacket on a mannequin. I ask the girl at the front where I can find them. She says "They are on sale."  So I say, "So they're in the back?" To which she says, "They're on sale so we probably only have three of them left." and her voice is in a condesending tone. Biotch.

Uh did I just step into Pretty Woman? Am I on Rodeo Drive? I did have my LV with me, complete with heels and office 'wear'. I thought I looked decent for Valley Fair. Apparently not.

This store is a joke. Their clothing sizes for girls are ridiculous and so are the workers. But if it wasnt for Hollister and AnF then my friends and I wouldn't have won money from the lawsuit against employment discrimination. Biyaaatch!

I believe the previous review of this company being racist.  I've lost count of how many times I've walked into a Hollister and have gotten the cold shoulder from the front employees literally SECONDS after they just gave a warm welcome to someone who looked more like them.  

Inside, the music is loud, the lighting is dim, and a bit crowded.  I like how there is usually a live camera feed of some beach in Southern California.  I'm still trying to figure out where exactly it is shot so I can spell out "Hollister sucks" in the sand or make some huge sign so it can be broadcast to all the stores...hmmmmm.

Eh, the clothes are OK.  They are cute for girls but give off a wanna-be frat look on guys.  Maybe I'm just getting old...

So, there is my take on Hollister.  The one star rating is for the company as a whole because they are all the same in terms of looks, product and the way they treat (certain) customers.  I guess I take joy in knowing the kids who work here make chump change and that I'd be mad too if I had to work on the weekends.

I like this store, but I'm so sick and tired of buying clothes that I THOUGHT were new only to discover a hole on the side. That happened to me 4 times already. What do these people do with the clothesss? Siiiigh.. I love the style though.. a little cheaper than Abercrombie.. clothes a little thin though.

PS. Sofi, I was shocked when I read your review. I can't say I would've never thought that something like that would ever happen, but I guess I just wanted to live in my happy little world. But props to you for quiting that place!

i never really bought anything here because the prices are insane for mass produced items that almost every beach bum white girl is wearing on tv... ok, theyre not that insane, i just dont feel its reasonable to pay so much to look like every other thing out there on the street...

the only hollister things i do own are jackets and sweaters - which is why i love their winter collection... thats it.  and i always buy at the end of winter at the great mall outlet location - savvy find, smart value for me, and i get to buy some good regular pieces of clothing to add to my collection without guilting myself.

as for the jeans - theyre sized for JUNIORS... adult ladies, i suggest you NOT bring yourself to tears when you once thought you were a size 3 and ended up a 7... and theyre made for boney girls with no meat - or ass.  so dont bother if youre not a pre-pubescent female in their "tweens"... if you insist on the huntington flare for the "beachbum" look, mosey on down to your nearest PACSUN store in the mall, and ask for their TILT jeans.  they give, and they make my ass look GREAT, if i dont say so myself... haha... jk.

touching on the subject matter of lacking "curves" to wear a good amount of their clothing - their tanks fall under that category as well... meant to wear SANS bra - hence there usually being a shelf bra built in - these tanks are cut akwardly and are also not meant for girls with breasts.

just think about it ladies: ever ask a guy what he likes to see on a girl, and does he ever answer "HOLLISTER"?  not very likely.  hence the only reason i like their jackets and sweaters - theyre made to cover, and they do a damned nice job of covering while flattering as well.

I use to work at the Hollister in valley fair and it was the worst job of my life and I've had a lot of jobs. THESE PEOPLE ARE SO RACIST!!! It was so bad that the managers had to take a "Sensitivity Seminar" so that they would be sensitive to other people that weren't really good looking or white. UGH! This was how they hired people based on how good they looked and if they "Fit the scene" basically the scene was if they looked like a beach bum. If you didn't fit those standards then you were either fired, not hired or you worked in the back where you weren't seen

and their clothes aren't of great quality either trust me, the way these people treat the clothes you DINT want to wear them. and they are freaking overpriced

I love this store! The jeans are great fit for me, because I am skinny, but tall. And they come in a million and one washes and styles!

I also love the tank tops! There are so many different styles and are perfect for layering. The ones with the lace at the bottom at super cute too, if you pair with a cropped sweater.

The sweaters are great, and of good quality. I have a sweater from there [had it for almost a year] and it still fits, and is in great condition! The color hasnt faded and it goes with so many things.

The hoodies! They are great, great, great! I own 4 or 5 because  they come in so many cute colors and are all so warm :] :]

I have never bought shorts from here, because they are too big for me. But maybe once my hips widen or something, they will fit. I hope, because they are SO cute!

This is overall a great store if you want quality clothing and want your money to go a long way.

like it a lil better than A&F..only because its so dark and interesting...the guys aren't as cute either...I'll stick to A&F..i hear it sucks to work there...they always ask me to fill out app everytime i'm there.
