I won't say that I am a fan but, their services are more than mediocre , everything was clean, and the staff were friendly. The only thing that were weren't thrilled with was the placement next to the street. It was noisy and, for those of you who are light sleepers, this might be somewhat undesirable. Of course, if you wanted more higher end hotels, you should try Claremont Hotel or DoubleTree, but, for the price range that I have paid, which was around 94 dollars a night, during graduation week in Berkeley, it was more than what I would have asked for.

Its approximate distance to Brrkeley was about 12 miles, which takes around 16 minutes, assuming that there's no traffic and you're going at 75 miles per hour. Plus, the scenery along the drive was enchanting, as you're surrounded by different types of shrubs and greens, making it a very smooth and relaxing drive. Also, if you're around the place, you might as well try out a nearby restaurant, called Tullio's. That place is pretty good too.

The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room.  The room didn't have an ironing board although there was an iron.  The phone didn't work in the room.

I don't think they cleaned the room very well.  It felt like it needed a better cleaning.  The parking lot was a little scary at night because it was really open.  Although the parking was FREE which was a lot better than most of the hotels in the area.

I thought it was interesting that no one asked me how I enjoyed my stay.  It seemed like they avoided the question because they knew that they weren't up to par.  It felt like the staff and the hotel was really trying to improve itself but just couldn't quite get there!

Parking lot was so tiny, and people parked in 2 spaces.
I checked in smoothly. No problems.
I just wondering why it smelled so smokey. Like someone just lighted one up and was smoking right there in front of me. I didn't see any clouds of smoke. So I am wondering why, I kept smelling it.
If you don't mind smelling like smoke when you leave then go ahead and stay here.
Its close to the freeways, that is why I chose this place to stay at.

Very limited on-site parking at night. Tiny parking spaces. But there's enough street parking if you don't mind crossing the street.

Kinda old and tired looking.

Tell them you lost your room key and they'll happily give you one without checking ID.

Basic, basic cable, that is, no MTV, VH1, Discovery Channel, etc. Only news channels and Showtime.

Free Internet connection via Ethernet cable very spotty.

Not the best location in town but at least very close to I-680 on-ramp.
