This place was great. It's in a little resort area right off the highway, with its own beach, restaurant, bar, etc. I was here for a work trip so I didn't have much time to linger in the sun with a cocktail or anything but it was perfectly easy to fine and fit my needs to the tee.

I got there around 8 pm. The receptionist was very friendly. She gave me a room toward the back but she did ask me if I wanted something closer. I said I didn't care, as long as I could walk to the bar. There was a convenient business area which I used to print out my directions for the next day.

The room was clean and spacious. The internet worked which is great considering my pattern of getting rooms with defunct internet connections. I had my own little private balcony and was able to safely and efficiently walk to their convenient little Tropical Beach Bar.

The bartender was awesome and friendly.  Not sure why I felt the need to douse my worries in wine but it felt good. The weather was a bit humid but when you live in Chicago and it's cold 9 months out of the year, you'll take anything. Even 95 degree weather and 100% humidity. It wasn't quite that bad but it was pretty sticky. I enjoyed sitting there, relaxing, talking to no one and enjoying my three glasses of wine.

The price here was totally reasonable, the service friendly, clean, etc. I would definitely stay here again!
