Good room, quite and spacious.  $108 rate was also good. No restnts in immediate vicinity and the one in the lobby would only be a last resort... didn't look like one I'd want to eat at.  I'm not a fan of Holiday Inn, having stayed at too many of their outdated and well worn hotels.  This one is an exception.

We were disappointed that we didn't discover this hotel until the night before we were leaving Albuquerque!  It was big, cozy, comfy, clean, and a great value.  The rooms have a big sitting area with TV, separate coffee/wet bar, and bedroom with TV.  The bath was somewhat oddly laid out, but it was modern and clean.  We debated about driving back downtown for dinner because the hotel restaurant's menu looked very chain-like, but we stayed there and were happy with the decision.  Breakfast was really good, as well.  A great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

Although the hotel sign looked old and shady, the hotel room, itself, was nice. Clean and comfortable bed, free high-speed internet delivered through ethernet. However, the bathroom was oddly designed -- very narrow and long so that you had to shut the door to get at the toilet. The room was hot, even with the air conditioner on and with outside temperatures of 30-40. It never cooled down past 75.

The hotel has one entrance, so you end up parking far away from the door and have to walk, walk, walk to get into the place. The parking lot is also on a hill with huge inclines and narrow spaces. I about had a wreck trying to leave the parking lot while others entered because you have to come and go at angles that don't allow 2 cars at once. It takes about 4 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport, though, so it is indeed convenient once you figure out where the hell the hotel is (wind around Randolph away from Yale and it's about a mile down on the right).

I reserved the hotel in another name, because that person collected trip reward points of some nature. Even though I gave them my driver's license and my credit card, they still called me by the other person's name and didn't even bat an eye that the names did not match. Hmm.

Can't comment on much else because I got in late and left earlier than even the continental breakfast was offered. Given the lack of accessibility to parking as well as entering the hotel (I'm not a fan of being stared at by the front desk every time I want to come and go), there would have to be a serious price differential between here and anywhere else for me to go back. As it was, the place was $100 plus taxes and fees with advance reservations, so it wasn't a steal of any sort for the area.
