I don't what kind of Kool Aid that last review was drinking but this place wasn't haunted or a mad house.. it was actually nice, quiet, and very comfortable.
I found the place on http://hotels.com for a very low price. My GF and I were on a romantic over night getaway to San Clemente and a friend who used to live in San Clemente had recommended a few places for us to visit and this hotel was in perfect range of all of them. Also the GF and I are NOT high maintenance at all so a little two star hotel is fine for us.
I called the day before to see if we could check in early and they said now problem so we arrived at noon instead of the normal check in time. The gentlemen at the counter was super nice and helped us get checked in.
There are two kind of rooms in this hotel. Non-ocean view rooms and Ocean view rooms. Ours of course for the price ended up being a non-ocean view room but it made no difference to us. We aren't the kind of people who like to spend our time in the hotel room anyways.
What impressed me the most though was that fact that the hotel was right next to the freeway but yet you couldn't hear a thing. They had double layer windows which made it almost silent in the rooms. Plus the pillows were the most comfortable pillows I have ever slept on in a hotel room.
Our stay was comfortable, pleasant, quiet, and very relaxing. Next time we stay in San Clemente we'll be staying here again..
Right off the freeway. Fortunately you cant hear a peep. Its an okay hotel to stay in if you just want to sleep. Not somewhere you would want to stay and relax. The Beach is less than a mile down the way. Its a nice walk to take if you like Bars and Shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's haunted. Really. I used the restroom in the lobby, and I got this eerie feeling. The lights would randomly flicker and the toilets would countinuously flush with no one around. And as I was stepping out of the restroom, it all stopped. Eeep! I just wanted to get the heck outta there!
