Got it for $42/$50 on http://Priceline.com.
I still like that it is all indoors, if you get parking near Entrance A or B, easy to get into the hotel on the side with your key.
On the Madison side, didn't hear any street traffic.
Got a free fridge and microwave in the room.

Did have some ethernet probs, kept kicking me off the net, had to call support and they changed my settings on my computer, was fine after that.

Tried to make a reservation through a group discount 3 times, even contacted the groups hotel coordinator, finally had to go to the hotel's sales manager to get the promised rate.  (And I was calling the hotel, not the 800 number)

Checked in at 11pm, room was roasting. (It was a hot day, but still don't turn the AC OFF on a room you expect to rent that day)  Turned the AC on full tilt, took 1 1/2 hours to cool down to tolerable enough to sleep.  Tried the internet service, no luck.  Called the 800 number for the internet service, the overseas support guy was less than useful, only looked at 2 or 3 things, then he punted.  Told me he would call the front desk, and have a new modem delivered in 10 minutes (at 1145pm, yeah right).  Called the front desk 20 minutes later, he never called, and she was the only one in the hotel, so couldn't have helped anyway.

Crud, have to look my destination up in the morning using the lobby wireless connection.

645 am, no luck on wireless, try the hotels tethered computer, after 3 attempts, someone apparently did something in the back, and it finally connected.

Breakfast was tolerable, polite staff in Aces, nothing spectacular on the buffet, but not bad.

Get home, 2 days later I realize I left a specialized USB charger in the room, call hotel, ask for lost and found, get transferred to the exec housekeeper, left name and phone, room number and date, where it was plugged in.  No call.  Call again two days later, no call back.

Oh well, I'll buy a new charger, and instead stay at  Marriotts, group discounts be damned  (which was still more than most of the nearby Marriott chains rates).

Room itself was tolerable, but the service was the PITS.  I hope the large convention in the lobby that Saturday had better luck than I did.

I was there for a work function.  $100 a night for a place where our group experienced TWO smash & grab thefts from vehicles parked directly out front of the hotel on a weekday (one at 9:30am one morning, another at 6pm two days later).

Even worse, the "catered" lunch they served our group had expired food, and a rock-hard croissant-wich.  One day we got cheesecake.  It had freezer burn and was almost as hard as the croissant.

On the positive side: free internet.  not very fast, but it was free...

I was there for a convention and the banquet rooms were VERY HOT!!!!! The front desk ladies were not helpful and very abrupt.  They do not serve any food or drink after 10pm.. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! thats a lil early and delivery to this place is limited.  The food provided was good in the banquet room but some of the servers are hired out and not as pleasant.
