Love it! Great for the price. It's across the street from Orange Inn for breakfast, lunch, and take-to-the-Cleo Street beach smoothies and turkey chili. It's just a few blocks from the center of town; you can leave your car in the parking lot in crowded summer (parking an extra $10 a day). Rates vary depending on time of year.
Lobby: always offers hot coffee, water bottles, soda, popcorn. Nice seating area for saying goodbye to visitors.
Patio: the rooms are built around a pool/patio area. The garden area is perfectly kept up, as are the rooms, in our experience.
Hint: ask to stay on the lobby level to avoid having to lug your bags up or down a level, though I think they'd help if you asked.
Ask for wi-fi code.
Have stayed here 3 times in last few months (admittedly mid-week) and have never had a problem with nightclub noise.
Again, love it! -

This is where we booked our bridal suites for my wedding that was a few blocks away at the Laguna Village. We arrived on time and the desk clerk was very nice. They made sure that the grooms room was a distance away from my bridal room. The fact that you have to have a parking pass and they only allow so many cars to park in their lot is crap, but what else are they going to do since the area is so busy, especially on the weekends. For sure people would try to park there without being a guest at the hotel. In any case, they have complimentary popcorn, soda, tea, coffee, you name it. They also had a special sign there welcoming their doggie guests, which I thought was cute.
A few gripes however:
Room was especially small for a bridal suite. I felt like me and my bridesmaids were crammed in that small room. There was nothing "suite" about it. Rooms were just so so, nothing wonderful, having this hotel in Laguna, I really thought that the rooms were going to be a lot more extravagant than that of a Holiday Inn in another city.
If you're a party person, this is totally the hotel for you. They have a full on bar and club on the first floor, which I didn't visit, but many of my wedding guests that stayed at this hotel did use the club area and really enjoyed it.
Another rant:
The security guard that was present the night of my wedding was a complete douchebag-a-rama. He was incredibly rude to a few of my guests, including myself. He followed one of my weddings guests around as if she wasn't a guest at the hotel. He asked her to leave a few times and I had to tell him that indeed she was staying at the Holiday Inn (granted she did have a bit to drink). Then the kicker was when my now new husband and I were going back to our room for the traditional wedding night, the security guard were acting like we weren't guests there either! Sheesh. Totally astonished by that. Everything else was pretty cool though. They have a very comfy looking lobby, although small. It was really great for some of my wedding pictures. I also liked the courtyard in the middle of the hotel. It was really quite nice with the tables and chairs.
Would I stay here again? Probably. But not during peak wedding season really. It tends to get very loud over the summer. For the price, you really can't beat it either.
Oh! And they did give us complimentary champagne (we don't drink, but it was a nice gesture, as most normal people our age DO drink) and some chocolates to congratulate us on our wedding. The chocolate was really good too.
Very cute hotel all in all. -

Upon first glance I was pleased. Complimentry popcorn, waters and soda in the lobby and the staff through our whole trip was great and very attentive. The rooms are tiny and dated although at first i thought the layout was quaint. The hotel looks surrounds the pool area so you hear every footstep in the whole place.
I understand that people go to Laguna Beach for vacation and probably let their hair down a bit but be careful of this place at night. It is beyond noisy. With local bars and weddings its no mystery that the drunks need somewhere to sleep too but I don't like having to call at 12:00 a.m. to complain about people screaming and running around like its a college frat house.
Again, great staff and very loud. If you are a partier, probaly the best hotel on the strip. If you want to relax, dont even think about this place. -

VERY cute hotel for the price range, great lobby, nice pool area.. Rooms are small but very clean. Love the shower! Extra bonus: free popcorn, water, coffee, soft drinks and lemonade in the lobby! Super convenient location to the beach - just cross the street!

Very friendly staff. Upgraded us to a suite when they found we booked through trip advisor. The suite was very large with big bedroom, entry room, separate living room and a massive bathroom. Had a view of the beach as well. It was very conveniently located to downtown and other shops being a 10 minute walk away. Generally Laguna Beach is noisy with lots of traffic of which we heard some delivery trucks for Ralph's across the street, but it wasn't too bad. Not sure if any hotel/motel can totally be quiet in those locations. Oh, and got about 1/2 price from http://tripadvisor.com as well.

Not to sure about this place. This was my first visit to Laguna Beach and I think if I stayed somewhere else it would have been a lot better. My wife and I did not arrive till almost midnight. We where welcomed by a guy puking on the front steps and load bass coming from the NIGHTCLUB downstairs. So it turns out and I had not read this anywhere else that they turn their bar into a night club. It was so loud the wall in our guest room shook. My wife and I decided we would just join the party since we could not go to sleep. We stood at the bar for 5 mins and nobody even looked at us. They where too busy serving the already extremely intoxicated crowd. All in all DON'T STAY HERE, especially on the weekends. The room certainly did not make up for the party below. It was tiny and dated. Nice courtyard with a pool but no hot tub. There are plenty of nice small privately owned hotels in Laguna Beach.

I booked this hotel through http://priceline.com so I didnt pay too much to stay here. Had I paid full price I might have lowered my review a bit. We came in late and was welcomed by a nice lady working the front desk. She was quite helpful although her directions to our room were pretty crappy, but thanks to my keen sense of directions, we arrived shortly to our room. The room was pretty nice, not dirty or anything, just a little old school. We were in the courtyard area right near the pool which was pretty cool if it was summer and we could use the pool. The TV in the room was very difficult to use as the channel changer was broken. There was a USB slot on the back of the TV which I though I would be able to use my USB stick with to watch a movie but since it was broken, it didnt work. The bed was big and comfy and the bathroom was pretty nice as well. Free Wifi was a big plus in my book, as was the cold fridge. The gate outside our room to go to the parking lot was broken so it locked us out. Instead of making the long journey around to the front to either complain or access our room, my girl hopped the gate and almost got stuck...her fault, pretty funny. It was pretty quiet the entire time, my guess since it is off season. When I checked out, i was charged an additional $10 to park my car which I thought was a little ridiculous, but what can I do?
