I stayed at this Holiday Inn over the labor day weekend. It was a very pleasant stay.
I booked a standard room directly through their website and got a pretty good rate. The room is kind of small for two double beds and not a lot of walking room. Seems like they renovated not too long ago. You can tell some parts of the hotel are kind of old, but they have fixed things up. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I did not interact with them much, but when I did, they made me feel welcome.
There's a Target nearby and some fast food joints (In-N-out Burger being the best) if you need to get some things before you head out on your day or if you need a late night snack.
It is about 20 minutes away from Disneyland or 25-30 minutes to Hollywood. Garden Grove isn't too far either if you need to get your fix of vietnamese food like I did! I find it to be a pretty good location and not too far to LA hotspots if you have a car. -

I always like to start off with a positive comment, and it's about the cookies and apples at the front desk. Unlimited and delicious!
Now, for the important details. Every morning I woke up with back pain. Stayed there for 2 nights and was not looking forward to the 2nd night. Sure enough, I woke up with back pain. Beds are no good! Which is not a good thing, because that's predominantly what a hotel room is for. Also, I didn't like the layout - sink is outside of the bathroom.
Convenient location - had a wedding in the area and groom's family is nearby. It's right off the freeway, so that did help. -

This is an old hotel (stayed here more than 10 years ago) and it showed. The room is small (no space for a roll away bed when asked), the ac makes a lot of noise, and the elevator is sooooooo slow. The day we were there the exercise room also had an "out of order" sign. Location wise it is also above a highway.

Noisy. Noisy. Noisy.
Yes, it's built next to a freeway, but the lack of double-panes windows makes the din almost unbearable (I had to go to the nearby Target for earplugs).
The room was clean, though the lighting was substandard (so dim in the bathroom it was almost considered "dark"). Linens and pillows were good, free Wifi is always appreciated, restaurant was diner-like with limited hours, and there was not much within walking distance.
Still, it all would have been perfectly acceptable but for the noise. Argh.
Disclaimer: I booked this room through Priceline and because I got a deal, I don't know if my experience would have been different had I paid full price. -

stayed here 4 nights, as soon as i walked in i was surprised at how clean and nice the room was. although the staff were courteous and friendly, they seemed to be misinformed about the details of my vacation package and had me waiting around a couple times. the food at the restaurant was denny's-like. a couple mornings i was awoken by some sort of loud construction-like noises from above which i wish they would've waited til early evening for.

Good value for the price especially if you get a great rate on priceline. I will say if you like quiet, be sure to request a room on the non-freeway side, otherwise the traffic noise it quite loud. Heads-up make sure room is not near the elevators unless you like a constant flow of 'dings.' The rooms are cozy small but comfortable. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. Rooms have a mini-frig. Added plus - FREE no hassle WiFi - no codes, no fees. Excellent connectivity! We just turned on our HP laptops and they found the network quickly - SUPERB. There is a fitness room (no weight but good treadmill) . The grill il located in the hotel which is nice. And they do offer room service an added plus after a long day. Pool is nice, it's just located on the freeway side which is quite noisy.
