Currently under renovation, this place was picked by someone else for me because of the proximity of a job at IBM. On http://hotels.com their prices rank in the same ballpark as the crowne plaza, and some others that i can guess are much nicer. registration was relatively painless and friendly, but i had to sign a consent form saying i wouldn't throw a fit if they had to move my room because of the construction. the towels were ample, but there was no conditioner in my room, just soap and shampoo. The bar downstairs had several irritated patrons when i stopped in for my comped drink, and when i tried to go for a dip in the pool 30 min before closing, i found it all locked up tight. There are not quite enough outlets available for all my devices, so if you have a cellphone and a laptop and want to iron, bring a power strip. I can bet that after a 12 hour day of work, a few beers and a swim in the pool, the bed will feel mighty comfortable though. I'm not miserable, but it's about what i expect from a Holiday Inn.

We are a full service hotel with 301 beautiful guest rooms and just completed a $9 million dollar renovation. Our Grand Ballroom can accommodate spectacular wedding receptions and we also have smaller meeting space for intimate gatherings and successful meetings. We have an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi and offer a great fitness center. Our Village Park Cafe serves breakfast and lunch and O'Malley's Irish Sports Pub serves dinner and your favorite beverages. History
Established in 1972
Our hotel was the first to be built in this area and our Presidential Suite has housed many famous guests. Once the area began to grow, we added a second tower of rooms in 1987 and enclosed the outdoor pool. We have always been a Holiday Inn and are proud to be considered a landmark in the Gaithersburg area - we are Gaithersburg's Hometown Hotel!
