When I was told that I was going to be going on business to Salem, Missouri, I was in misery. When I found out that Salem's claim to fame was being in the 100 Acre Wood Forest (think Winnie the Pooh) I said, "Oh bother". When I found out how far of a drive it was from St Louis to Salem I was driven to make the best of it.
When I arrived at the hotel I was surprised, it was a pretty new place just opened this year. The rooms were roomy. The free breakfast buffet was indeed edible for the times when you need a little smackerel of something (Pooh phrase again!). The staff were super, almost Stepford Wives nice and helpful. It made something I wasn't really looking forward to doing into something that was pleasant and fun!Listed in: Far and Away
