As far as Holiday Inn's and 3 star hotel's go, this was a 5 star place.  I booked a room for Labor Day weekend just 2 days prior ... granted, this is in the middle of nowhere.  Since this was our second drive up to Sacramento in less than 24 hours, we decided after a day spent hiking and outdoor climbing over by the Cosumnes river we would just spend the night up here.  The staff was very friendly and our room was great ... it didn't feel gross and icky.  I kept looking for a robe at which Fred reminded me it was a 3 Star hotel and not the Hyatt ... but it came with ironing board and hair dryer so I was content.

Lots of channels on the TV ... but did you know that the regular movies are $13.99 but the adult movies are $14.99?  So even though I don't think they list what movie you watched on your check out receipt ... by process of elimination the staff knows if ya'll are dirty residents or not.

I can't say I would go here as a destination, but I wouldn't mind being stuck here. A very new Holiday Inn Express with mediterranean styling and nice layout, adjacent to a lakefront. The lakefront is lined by a city center walkway with shops and many restaurants, including a theatre complex.  Lots to choose from nearby, though it's a bit hard to enjoy the lakefront area in the winter when it's 40 degrees out. The hotel is very spacious and everything was in good running order. The pool is very well heated, as my daughters can attest to. (I put my hand in and it felt like a bathtub).

At $165 a night, though, it seems kinda pricey for a Holiday Inn. It's not a bad deal, however, if you want to sneak in a day of skiing in south Lake Tahoe before your ski house opens (like we are). At least it isn't Tahoe prices.

Free wifi in the rooms is nice. I'm writing this as we get ready to go to pack the car...risking the cold stare from my wife. Ok, honey, I'm done.

Impressive for a Holiday Inn Express.  Yes, Express with such a good rating?!  Usually, you just want to get in and out of those.  You barely unpack, but it looks like this time I have a different reason to stay packed.  Even if I want to stay an extra night, it might be a little difficult.  All booked up on a Tuesday night?  Yikes!  Don't kick me out?  Thanks for being so accommodating with the room switching and multiple check-in times though.

The 3-digit price might actually make sense.  Comfy beds in VERY spacious rooms equipped with microwave and fridge.  Some even have jacuzzi-style tubs - mmm, massage function...

Free wireless internet = Yelping uninterrupted.  I like it!

4.5.

My first thought was "I can't believe this is a Holiday Inn Express!". The rooms were furnished and decorated more like a higher-level hotel.

The gym wasn't large but the aerobic equipment was new and top-of-the-line. Each had its own television attached - something I wouldn't expect in a hotel at this level. There is an unaffiliated gym in the shopping center that can be accessed for a $15 fee.

The wireless had limited signal in my room. The front desk apologized profusely and pointed to the wired Internet access which was available.

The free breakfast was standard and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd stay here any time I needed to be in Folsom.

I came here for an event on Saturday.  I was surprised by the cozy and comfy atmosphere of this Holiday Inn.  The ones I've gone to in the past felt and seemed really old.  I can't speak regarding the rooms, since I didn't stay here, but I loved the location.  It was very convenient since it's surrounded by a shopping center.  The lobby and conference room were nice and clean, and they had an area where I could get coffee.  This is a good place to stay if you need a hotel in the area.

I stay at this hotel everytime I visit the red hawk casino. I have stayed here three times and the staffs have been friendly, accommadating and helpful. The rooms are nice and spacious, the pool is great. The things I didn't like was there wasn't any privacy at the pool, it's located next to the lake trail. The health club only had three machines. But the staffs will keep me coming back. A++ hotel and I would highly recommend this hotel

Super nice place. When I first looked on the map, I figured "oh, a hotel in a mall, probably not the nicest place". I was pretty wrong. The rooms were recently updated, and very clean, the main room and the bathroom were both spacious, I slept like a rock on their mattress, and while I didn't partake, the pool outside looked pretty nice. Oh, and it was relatively cheap as well. I'm totally staying there again.
