I love this hotel!  My family came to Boston for a visit last Fall and we chose this hotel due to the proximity to the subway, indoor pool and restaurant.  The rate was better than all of the downtown Boston hotels and the customer service was fantastic.  I highly recommend this hotel!

This place is just old, tired, old, out-of-date.. did I say OLD?  I was looking for a place to hold a gathering and block some rooms.  Rooms are not well-kept, heck, the whole place is tired looking (dirty window along the front of Beacon Street... ugh!), and when I snooped around separately from the site inspection, I discovered disgusting bathrooms on two visits.  And no hot water!

We wound up booking at the Courtyard - also in Coolidge Corner - for a little more money, but SO much nicer.

You can never really go wrong with a Holiday Inn.  We stayed here for 4 nights during our trip to Boston and I thought that this hotel was perfect for our stay.  There was a T stop just across the street and it was a 10 minute ride to downtown Boston and a 15-20 minute ride to Cambridge.  Fenway Park was just a couple stops on the T or a 15 minute walk.

The staff was nice and very helpful.  They greeted us right away when we checked in and also whenever we would need directions or had any questions.  They even helped us out with our transportation going to the airport on our last day.

Our room was clean and there was plenty of room for 3 people.  We asked for a non-smoking room and we got it.  We had plenty of towels and the bathroom was clean.  There wasn't a lot of water pressure in the shower, but what can you expect at a hotel.  Our room was facing the street so there was a little bit of noise when the T would come by.  The elevator was SUPER slow and there was one day when it was out of order and we had to use the service elevator.  It would get even slower at night when other guests were coming back from their day of sightseeing so we opted to take the stairs even though we were on the 5th floor.

Overall, we had a great stay.  We would definitely stay there again because of the location and also because we got a good rate!
