Limited selection in RC helicopter stuff, but RC Car stuff seem ok. When I visited this place after 10 years, it seemed like nothing changed. Not too big for a hobby shop compared to others.
No one came up to us, I guess thats ok, better than having a pushy salesperson trying to get you to purchase something you don't want. -

I've been going to Hobby People since one of their first store in Fountain Valley, when they were called Hobby Shack.
They are big for a brick and mortar walk in store, with great selection for most hobbies, and very helpful people who in most part are passionate about their stuff.
I started with a Airtronics 6 ft balsa RC glider (Olympic II?) and a Futaba 4-channel radio in the late seventies, purchased from Hobby Shack. The collection has grown to the strange gaggle of RC gliders and RC cars and off-road buggies, mostly bought from Hobby Shack/ People.
The guys and gals here can help you, and will share tricks and shortcuts that really help you with your hobby. They will even give you hints on where to fly (or drive or sail) and will even tell you about the locals that can help you during perilous first novice flights.
Hobby People seem to be able to hold their own against some of the mega internet Hobby stores.
I highly recommend them. -

big store lots of RC stuff,, along with models, air planes etc.. they have a big selection of stuff. lots of parts in stock, a good staff who knows the ins and outs of RC stuff. good prices and the store has decent hours.
