Review from Sarah Z.

I first went to see Daryl for some pretty bad lower back pain. That was about 3 months ago and today, I don't have any pain. Daryl is extremely knowledgeable and really took the time to listen to everything I had to say in order to better understand where my problem was coming from. Every time I leave his office, I feel very relaxed. Also his instruction to use my core by holding in my stomach when I'm walking has really helped to alleviate the pain I was having from collapsing onto my lower spine/back.
I couldn't say anything bad about Dr. Hobbs. He's super friendly and makes me feel comfortable while performing the treatments. I Highly recommend him! Plus he has a super sweet canine assistant that is in the office from time to time... :) -

I recently sought treatment from Dr. Hobbs for recurring pain and stiffness in my wrists and hands. I play golf several times a week, as well as use my laptop computer and mouse daily. The repetitive use of my wrists and and hands coupled with some poor posture habits causes the recurring issues.
Dr. Hobbs treated me with active release technique(ART), which involved him moving my hands and wrists while applying pressure at certain points around my hands and wrists. This allowed for great stretching of the tendons and muscles in the area. Typically, I would suffer for several days and up to a week with the pain and discomfort from this recurring injury, but with treatment from Dr. Hobbs I literally felt back to normal the next days.
I highly recommend trying Dr. Hobbs for his ART! -

I have been going to see Dr. Daryl since he was at Fitwell Chiropractic.
He has now opened his own business in Pac Heights, which is more convenient for me and nearer to my business.
I started for a car accident, he was awesome. Pain cleared. Done.
I go now, about once or twice a month for tune ups.
The great thing about Dr. Hobbs, is that he is has a very sweet personality. No big Chiropractor bravado and arrogance like I have seen before in SF.
He also does some bodywork called Active Release Therapy (A.R.T), before he adjusts you, rather than just "crack crack your done." The sessions tend to last about twice as long as your average visit because he takes the time to do soft tissue work (sort of like massage) and adjusts the whole spine, not just spot treatment.
I am a Massage Therapist and health care practitioner and I choose Dr. Hobbs. He's a good one.
He also accepts all kinds of insurance and has lowered cash rates for the uninsured. Good in these times, eh? -

I've been going to Dr. Hoibbs for about 4 mos. now. He takes the time to assess your ailments and needs and then developes a plan to address what's best for you. His initial consult does take longer but well worth it. He does ART, which works on the deep muscles that are constritced to get them released. ART is the best. I went to him for some tight hip issues and with ART, they are loosening up. What makes Dr. Hobbs even better is that you don't feel like youre in a mill. He's not bound by the 15 or 20 min. clock like my other chiropractors. Dr. Hobbs will be worth your visit.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Hobbs. It's incredibly comforting when you are in physical pain to have a doctor who really listens and provides you with immediate relief. At my first visit, he spent over an hour in assessment and treatment. He's knowledge, patient, and responsive to my changing health needs.
In my follow up appts, he spend a solid 30 minutes adjusting, providing massage and teaching me new stretching techniques. He is an amazing doctor. Look no further. -

Living in Pac Heights I wasn't wooed traveling to SOMA great chiropractor. Thru friend was intro'd to Dr. Hobbs and his very new practice at VanNess/Jackson. Never read a book by its cover - the building lobby is nothing to tout about, but once in the suite I felt I was in a Zen-terrific pro practice. The office is welcoming as is Dr Hobbs who I hear just ventured away from a large SF practice to his own. Sports aches and pains are his forte and he's definitely got the state of the art knowledge. I feel great - just walking in to his reception and seeing his adorable senior dog at the admin desk - hey it doesn't get any better than that! I'd recommend Dr. Hobbs to my friends and now to you. And he's got a parking lot in the building - cheap rates too

Although Dr. Hobbes provides all-around chiropractic care and musculoskeletal consultation, his specialization in bringing relief to serious athletes is why I keep going back.
Ditto the other reviewer saying that Dr. Hobbs operations are as professional as his practice. Also a great value and a minimum of paperwork. -

I initially found Dr. Hobbs because a coworker referred me to him. I was having some back and neck pain that would not go away.
Quickly, I found that Dr. Hobbs was not only a good listener, but his technique is one that I've never experienced with other chiropractors and I've sought the help of several chiropractors over the years.
Part of his technique is similar to deep tissue massage therapy, I LOVE it! I feel so relaxed after my visits. He helped relieve my back/neck pain.
I highly recommend him!
