wow. just wow. we booked a room block for our wedding, and stayed in a suite with our two dogs, who are on the large-ish side. it is extremely rare to find a great hotel that allows any dog over 50 lbs let alone welcomes them with open arms. the hilton sedona truly welcomes dogs of all sizes. from the moment our lovely yellow ladies stepped into the lobby they were doted on like celebs. doggie welcome bags? check. delivery of doggie beds to our room by the concierge? check. obscene amounts of lovin' by the staff all weekend long? check. and if you're a halfway decent pup parent, you won't have any issues. the hotel isn't out to nail you with exorbitant fees to stay with your 4-legged friend, and they aren't worried about a little dog hair in your room. and our sweet golden's nerve-related en-suite accident  was no big deal - no cleaning fee, no replace the carpet fee, no fines, fees or surcharges at all! and honestly, the service, cleanliness and comfort our room afforded the human portion of its guests was above and beyond anything we expected.

the restaurant and bar were both of reasonable quality - we could dine on the restaurant patio, walk along the beautifully landscaped grounds and chill out the the luxe lobby - all with our dogs. service was never poor. there was a pretty annoying mis-communication with the concierge staff on our wedding day which ultimately is the reason for the 4 star rating, but when i look back over our time at the hilton, my husband and i, along with our dear doggies, enjoyed our time and look forward to celebrating our anniversary here.

We enjoyed our three days at the Hilton Sedona. Newly renovated and in great condition.

I have stayed at many, many hiltons over the years, including some of their resorts. The Sedona one compares very well. Great pools, nice room layout. A bit of a smaller resort but very nice. Many of the larger resorts get heavily worn over the years and end up a bit so-so after a decade to or two but the Sedona resort still feels nice and new.

We ate a couple of times by the pool and at the main restaurant. Both were fine and the outside patio is a great place to sit at night with the fire pit going.

Being a Hilton Silver member (used to be diamond for many years), we got free access to the spa and their facilities. I enjoyed an early morning swim in their 25 meter pool all by myself.

I paid $156 per night through the 2009 Visa promotion and it was great value at that amount.

I was in heaven at this resort, and think we picked the best place to stay in Sedona.  The Hilton is actually in Oak Creek Village, which has a couple nice restaurants and shops and is away from the touristy and trinkety areas of Sedona proper.  Plus, as we drove from Phoenix, we had a shorter drive going to this hotel than any other.

We got a top floor room, which other reviews recommended.  The suite was beautiful and we lucked out with an awesome view and a cute little balcony.  It is a great spot to unwind after exploring the area, or you almost don't need to go anywhere.  Free Wifi and free computers are available in the comfy lobby, plus two outdoor hot tubs, three pools (one that sells tropical alcoholic drinks), outdoor firepit with comfy seating and an awesome gym.  There is a spa as well, but we did not try it out.  At the spa there are also indoor jacuzzis, women's outdoor tanning area, tennis courts, free fitness classes, salon and lap pool.  The spa/gym is $2.50/person/day, but totally worth it.  Gotta love the TVs attached to the aerobic machines.

We really didn't have any complaints.  The hotel staff at the front desk was amazing and helpful.  I suppose you are paying for their extra help and attention, but really, the rates at this hotel, especially with the AAA membership is cheaper than some of the other resorts and I personally liked a quiet spot away from the main town and made our commute to/from Phoenix that much easier.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my visits.

However, the amount you pay for WIFI is ridiculous. I don't understand why it isn't just built into the cost of the rooms. Motels down the road include it for "free." Just annoying to have to pay for it separately when you are staying at a "resort." You expect this amenity to be included.

It's also a bit of a drive from the town of Sedona.

I've only had breakfast at their restaurant and it was pretty good. It's really close to Cucina Rustica (great place for Italian) and they even offered to drive us down in a golf cart and pick us up after dinner if we wanted to have drinks.

Concierge made some excellent recommendations for dinner and had menus of the restaurants readily available for us to look at before we made a decision.

All the rooms have small balconies and fireplaces.

It's great to grab a drink at the bar inside and take it out to the fire pit by the pool and enjoy the evening.

Walked into the spa today for a massage and facial. I waited in the lounge for the therapist. Since I was getting a deep tissue she asked how much pressure I wanted and what my problem areas were. She went DEEP. A few times I had to ask her to lighten up. I guess the, "Ouch" didn't get her attention.  Other than the extreme pressure it was a good service.

The facial was decent, the esthetician skipped on the extraction and instead used a high frequency wand.

Had lunch in the restaurant. Don't look for a hostess, just go to the bar or seat yourself. Drinks are strong and the food comes fast.

Stayed one night, and that was one night too long.

We stayed in a suite. Here is why I won't stay here again:

-With exception of a friendly man who helped my husband find the Tomcars the staff at front desk were not very welcoming.

-The hallway we stayed in was dated. Room service crap sat in hallway too long.

-Our Non-smoking room was full of cigarrette smoke. We notified front desk. They brought in an ionizer while we were at dinner. We returned from dinner, my husband rolled the ionizer into hallway & called front desk. The machine didn't do much. Maybe someone was smoking in another room and it was coming through the vents? No follow up from front desk to see if our issue was resolved. I don't like wasting a weekend getaway following up on issues, I expect a Hilton to be equipped to check in with me to identify if the issue is resolved.

-Related to above- barely slept, woke up with watery eye's and coughing from cigarrette smoke.

-Internet- $12 a day. BS- we payed top dollar for a suite. I would understand if I had gotten a deeply discounted standard room, but that wasn't the case. So, for a one night stay (4 pm to 11 am) we payed $12.  Totally felt nickeled and dimed on this one.

-kids- I guess its not the hotels fault.. I don't mind kids but I felt like they were taking over our already disastrous hallway.

-view- nothing great. 2 chairs on pebbles partial view...

-follow-up- After my return from this hotel the Hilton asked for my feedback via email. I took 20 minutes to provide some constructive criticism. I also included points of the stay that we enjoyed- the restaurant and the spa. No response. So, I guess they don't care. I really dislike getting no feedback from a company when I take my personal time to provide them with valuable feedback.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR HOTEL PORTION ONLY. RESTAURANT AND SPA ARE GREAT AND DON'T FALL UNDER THIS REVIEW

Very pet friendly resort in beautiful Sedona.  Upon check-in we received a small goody-bag for our dogs.  They also provide a dog bed and water bowl.  We saw a few other small breeds while we were there.  The one-br suite (not sure, but all the rooms may be suites) are roomy, clean, and nicely decorated in a Southwest style.  Would love to have explored more if we had the time.  They have a 25 meter lap pool that should be ready after Mar. 1.

We went to the Grille restaurant for Valentine's day, where they were offering a prix fixe menu.  Service was slow, but friendly.  Their hamachi ceviche was fresh and perfectly seasoned.  The sea bass was tender and sweet, but the spicy tomato sauce was a bit overpowering.

Overall, a beautiful resort, conveniently located on the edge of Sedona.  And don't forget your furry companions!

A nice Hilton, however not all that I had anticipated. The suite seemed to be merely two rooms overcrowded with furniture. The deck overlooked the pool and was overrun by kids yelling and splashing, so we switched to another furniture filled suite overlooking the golf course. The bed was comfortable and the spa was nice, I did pay $8.50 for pineapple juice at the pools bar......call me stupid but I had two. The jacuzzi was perfect with the cool night air, but quite a walk from our suite. And the added charge for Wi-Fi of $12.00 was an expensive surprise. They are a pet friendly resort, so my Tibetan Terrier really enjoyed the stay and was observed looking out the window onto the golf course on more than one occasion. The staff was friendly enough but seemed to stay clear of interaction with guests. The on-property restaurants and nearby establishments offered a nice variety of food options , we op-ed to go into Sedona for dinner. which is a short but beautiful drive.

This is a mid-size property, just on the edge of Sedona.  It's a welcome site after leaving highway 17.  The staff is FAB-U-LOUS!!!!  My room has a fireplace, and two TVs and a pretty big bathroom.  There's a balcony too.  It totally separates the sleep area and the entertaining area, which is nice if you want to invite people over to share a bottle of wine.  There are two pools, one is a family pool.  When you check in, request a room with a view of the rocks.  Room service is FAST and yummy!

The spa/gym is fabulous.  There's a nice amount of equipment to pick from and the area is well ventilated.  There are also classes [yoga, step, etc.] taught in the studio.  The women's locker room is spacious and well organized.  There are several showers and a sauna.  Be warned, there is a small fee, but if you get spa services it is waived.

The only downside is that sometimes you can distinctly hear the people walking upstairs.  I'm not sure if I was under a "heavy walker", or if this was just poorly insulated.  Try to get a room on a higher floor.

ETA:  They have a kiosk in the lobby that you can use to print out your boarding pass.  That's right, I got an A boarding pass for my Southwest flight before I even left the hotel!  Take that suckers!!!!

Well, first things first: I stayed one night and it was free with my Hilton employee discount so my review won't be based on the value of the stay.
I remember staying here about 4 years ago or so and getting a bland standard room on the first floor with a stunning view of the cars parked directly outside my ground-level window. This time, though, I scored a third floor king suite. It was great! The bed was very comfy, and the 27" flat-screen tv was quite nice. Then there was a whole other room, separated by a door, with a queen bed sleeper sofa, a fireplace, another sweet tv, and a dining area w/ table and chairs. It was all roomy enough where things weren't crammed and it's an ideal room for two people to stretch out and roam. Or if you want to cram four people into a room, this is the room for you.
The Cascades pool area is very pretty, especially at sunset, but not as big as it appears in the pictures on the website. They also have a separate pool/jacuzzi for  adults, appropriately titled the "Quiet pool." It's nice to hang out at if there's too many bastard kids running around in the main pool.
One of the few downsides to this resort is the location. Of course it provides scenic views, but since it's basically the first building you come to on the 179 in Oak Creek, it's a good drive to get to the 89A and the heart of Sedona. But if you want to relax and spend most of your time at the resort, it's a good choice.

I absolutely love this place. Maybe because when I got there a hoard of people had just left and they let me walk around and pick the room I wanted. Then the wonderful staffer gave me a free 4-day pass to the spa, which is very cool. They have the most fabulous Olympic-size swimming pool in the spa area along with the other two pools. Food in the restaurant is great and not too expensive, in fact aside from the burger I had a the Full Moon Saloon upon arrival, I only ate at the hotel restaurant, The Shadowrock, which in itself is a treat. All staff were just peachy and this is one place that I hated to leave and can't wait to return to. Ask for the AAA rate - I got a great suite for $179 a night - far better than The Renaissance in Glendale!
