For the price it was very clean, with decent amenities and excellent location for local traveling. I would like to see a better bathroom fan, but overall I rate it excellent for its price point.

1 KING BED EXECUTIVE FLOOR used 22,575 Points
Clean, modern looking and updated room
Nice firm bed but the pillows were also a little too firm.
But the interior room noise (furnace air vent noise was constant but the bathroom vent noise was variable) was one of the loudest I've experienced. Room noise is a key measurement of my rating at any hotel; I'm a light sleeper.
Staff was friendly and helpful. -

Update wedding review for those for are looking for a reception site*
Nele no longer works at the Hilton. I found out with the email I sent her bounced without warning. Of course, no one told me about this and I have to find out myself. My new contact is Lia, who is friendly and accommodating but terribly hard to find (through email or phone)
Just now, when checking my account statement, I saw yet another charge from the Hilton for $1k. This was after the billing department double charged (2k instead of 1k) me back in May when I was supposed to put down the first $1k deposit for my wedding in November. Nele apologized and told me I don't have to pay anything till my wedding date since I essentially paid the second deposit up front.
So twice, the billing department messed up. I'm charged 3k total now and it's terribly terribly frustrating especially when I called and couldn't reach anyone. And my cc statement date is today... meaning I have to front the $1k that I don't have to...
Ever have the feeling of like running outside and yelling GARHHHH.. -___-
/sigh Please please pretty please respond to me! Or give me a cell phone # or text that I can reach a human being and not yet another voice mail.1 Previous Review: Show all »

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are great. The only reason I am giving it only 3 stars is because the beds are very very uncomfortable! However they are doing some renovations so we may have been in a room with the older beds. I would definitely stay here if i'm in town again.

Very convenient place to stay while visiting Great America! BUT....
Yes the dreaded but...
We appreciated the early check-in so we were able to relax and have lunch before we headed over to great america for the day. The location is within walking distance to the theme park so no need to arrive early to look for parking. The hotel was clean, up to date, flat screen tv, they have a contract with high end skin care lines so your bath products and towels were great. The beds were comfortable and clean, no complaints there. Kids knocked out like babies..
Now down to the nitty gritty...the Mr. wanted to see if we could get a late check out so the boys can enjoy the water park and come back to dry up and change but due to their supposed swarm of guests there were expecting on a Monday (memorial day) they declined our request. I think that's a load of crap, we got a great deal on the room through hotwire and if they didn't want to accommodate it then say so. Don't lie about it. Second, we had breakfast at their restaurant and I found a piece of hair in my food...I had it sent back and they made another one for me. Just an apology but no other compliments to that. The staff was okay..they weren't friendly but they weren't nice just there to "work" if you ask me.
Overall, it was okay. We were comfortable just a few downers anyone may experience. -

Great hotel for the price. Stayed here about 3 different times. Lots of parking. Beautiful inviting lobby. Partially covered pool/hot tub. Cozy room. Free fridge. Next door to Great America and close drive to Mercado and lots of restaurants. Easy access to 101 freeway. Friendly staff. I'll only stay here whenever I'm in the South Bay from now on!

This place is BEAUTIFUL!
For a gal who's trying to plan a wedding, this place is great!
First off, for the most part they have a very neutral color scheme throughout the lobby and ballroom areas. Second, Lia, the head events coordinator, is very friendly and knowledgeable. She suggests vendors whom she's hired for her OWN wedding... that's a true testament! And third, the overall price is pretty reasonable, given that beverages, hor d'oeuvres, and plated meals are all include in their packages.
I'm looking forward to writing an updated review after our catering tasting! -

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR BANQUET SERVICES:
My mom had her 50th birthday here. They have 2 banquet rooms: 1 that fits 60 people and another that fits about 100. My mom confirmed about 55 guests, but since there were no other events that day, they gave us the bigger room. The room is an average banquet room. So, why the 2-star rating?
SECURITY
-First of all, and this is probably the worst part: Security here is RUDE. Rude in the sense that they act like they're bouncers at some ghetto night club. Right when it turned midnight, the bouncers said to my mom and her friends, "Get your shawls, get your shoes, and get out NOW!" They were talking to them as if they were teenie boppers that snuck into a 21+ club. Hello...it's a 50th birthday party!!! It's not like they were going to get rowdy after it was time to leave. Everyone was just trying to gather their belongings.
-The security guards were also USELESS. One of mom's friends had her coat stolen from the coat rack, which was outside in the corridor. I also noticed that there were other hotel guests peaking into our party at whim. In fact, I didn't even see security there the whole night...only when they decided it necessary to kick my mom and her party out so rudely.
WAITERS
The waiters were also disappointing. Granted, they were helpful before the party started in providing random things like extension cords, duct tape, etc. I should mention that we decided to opt for buffet-style dinner so the service needed was minimal. Several guests complained that the waiters removed their plates while they were still eating, they even took away wine glasses that still had wine in them, and water refills came RARELY, if not at all. The service was just unacceptable, especially considering the automatic 20% gratuity.
THE FEW GOOD THINGS
-Nellie, our banquet coordinator, was very helpful. Unfortunately, she was on maternity leave by the time of our party.
-We were allowed to bring our own LECHON (per Nellie's recommendation as our "appetizer").
-We got a free room for the night of our party, though we decided not to stay there. We just used it to keep our things during the party.
If it weren't for Nellie and the lechon, this place would definitely deserve 1 star. I would NOT recommend this place for a party. -

The bathroom is shaped like a pentagon and is much bigger than at other Hiltons.
However.
There was black hair. All over. Around the faucet, on the sides of the bathtub, and after I thought I had hosed it all away I opened up one of the towels and found more black hair. -

Made reservations through this http://priceline.com because I got a great deal on it. I was trying to find a cheap 4 star to celebrate a special occasion by taking a "staycation". Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It felt more like a 3 star location instead of 4. The rooms were small and the only thing that set this certain hotel from other three stars hotels was an average restaurant and a taller building. I asked for an upgrade to a larger room with a large tub to soak in and fit two people and was willing to pay the difference. The man who checked me in said there were no rooms at all even a suite with a large tub? Are you kidding me????? At a 4-star hotel??
The reason its 3 stars?
+1 Well, it was immaculate. It was very clean. Very important no matter where you stay
+1 Convenient location and free parking
+1 Got a great deal! -
Review from Jim C.
Review is for catering my company's meet & greet.
Parking sucks at the front, go all the way around back, near the swimming pool, lot of spaces there.
The Yosemite meeting room was reserved toward the back, wine and beer, water, soda, nothing fancy.
The appetizers were good, mostly finger food like pastry triangles with curry inside, cheese tray, veggie with dip, fancy stuff on tiny crackers, the best was the sirloin in small buns, awesome with a dab of horse radish, the carver kept pushing them every time I walk by, I guess he get to go home when it's all gone, that was fine with me, so I ate a few.
My only complaint, nowhere to sit, but that's suppose to prevent you from planting your @ss in one spot. Keep you eyes on the waiter, or a hand on your bottle, he'll sneak up behind you and snap up your drink and plate without asking you, I kept hearing was "where's my drink?" -

This is a review primarily of the gym facility.
The Gym is clean but pathetically under equipped.
My Background
I am a sales professional who reluctantly travels for business.
I stay in hotels approximately one week per month
My company lets me select from a list of preferred hotels so I can usually select a Marriott or Hilton.
Here's the #1 reason I select a hotel:
Quality of the onsite Fitness Center-
Hotel fitness centers are generally pathetically under-equipped with a few treadmills and machines. I would choose a hotel 100% of time if it offered this gym setup:
Olympic Barbell set with 300lbs of plates- $500
Pullup Bar - $100
Set of Kettlebells- 36lb, 44lb, 52lb, 63lb, 72lb - $400
TRX Suspension trainer - $200
some plyo boxes or benches - $200
This is what I have in my home gym. The total cost is under $1500 and would enable any hotel to market its fitness center as "CrossFit" ready. Better yet, let me take the TRX and kettlebells outside to a playground area on the hotel site and I can do a full workout almost as if I were in the comfort of my home gym.
Here's what the Hilton Santa Clara had-
A rack of dumbells up to 50 lbs.
3 medicine balls.
2 ellipticals and 2 treadmills.
1 incline/flat bench.
It was a pathetic gym setup. I took my TRX and some elastic bands out to the parking lot and had a better workout outside. Come on guys, spend $500 and get a barbell and some kettlebells and a pullup bar.
Here is some other feedback:
-Good electrical outlets on the night stand and on the desk so I could easily charge my cell phone and laptop.
-Horrible Internet access. It didn't work. I needed to call India to get it working one day (30 minutes on the phone). I gave up after that.
-No room safe. I'm glad nobody stole my laptop.
-Tub backed up every AM when I showered.
-Needed to provide more tea bags. We don't all drink coffee.
-Provided a daily AM paper.
-Offered Fresh fruit for a grab-n-go purchase: apples, oranges, bananas
-Restaurant had few vegan choices. Food was OK but pricey and limited.
-Daily maid service is not needed. Especially when I have a 2 or 3 day stay. Give me the option to decline daily service.
-The beds and pillows are great. Super soft yet supportive.
-In room refrigerator was noisy.
-TV service sucks. Lots of latency when switching channels. Defaults to "pay for services". No TV guide. Come on Hilton- it's 2011. Compare your service to any basic cable service and step it up.
What I don't care about that most hotels think I do care about:
- 2-3 pillows on a king size bed are plenty. I don't need 8 and just toss them on the floor.
-the lobby size, furniture and decor doesn't matter to me at all. I either just pass through or meet coworkers here and leave.
-size of the TV. give me basic cable service instead or a decent internet connection.
-your "corporate branding and standards". Guess what, I cannot really tell much of a difference between Marriott, Embassy, Hilton etc. I expect and receive similar quality in all the chains.
Final comment- all of the staff was very courteous and pleasant. That's a refreshing change from South Florida. -
Review from Melissa H.
Union City, CA
I rented a room at the Santa Clara Hilton to host a memorial service for my father. Since most of the guests to my event were local, none of the guests of the memorial actually spend the night; this review is only about the Hilton's event coordinating.
My father passed away unexpectedly at 54, and I did the planning for my father's memorial service myself. I had never planned a memorial service before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
The employees were very helpful and specific on what I would be getting. They gave me a great deal to rent an event ballroom, have a cash bar, and even have a projector with great quality sound for the slideshow. Tony was the tech person who was helpful, and Leah and Angela helped me with booking of the room. I was able to come back a few times before the event to make changes, and they were helpful in answering my questions.
They had already decorated the room very appropriately for a memorial service. There were very nicely draped tables, dim lighting, and candles. The decorations were appropriate. This freed me up to greet guests at the door instead of having to set up and decorate the place. I was even able to upgrade to a larger room pretty last minute.
I got many compliments for having a great service and my father's memorial service was a success. There is a fee if you get a bartender, but the fee is waived if you guests buy a certain amount of drinks. They even make labels and signs for you to guide your guests. Overall a great deal, very helpful. Hopefully I won't have to host another memorial service any time soon, but I would definitely recommend this for future events. -

Front desk staff made me feel awkward at check-in by having some kind of inside joke they thought was funny while checking me in. I was allowed to check in early at noon which is always a plus. Elevator took forever.
The room has a big bathroom but only one big towel, one hand towel and one washcloth is provided. Lock on bathroom door too.
No fridge in the room. Very basic style room. Looked very clean. I didn't like the room lay out very much b/c if the closet doors were not closed all the way, the doors keep flying open and hit the door to enter the room making a loud slam. Thin walls. Not very many places to put personal belongings.
Free parking and easy to find a spot. Had to pay for the internet. I expected a better experience from a Hilton hotel so I will not stay again and it wouldn't be the first hotel I would recommend in the area either.Listed in: Hotels

Manteca, CA
Since I had moved to Manteca but was getting married at Freedom Hall and Gardens in Santa Clara my husband to be and I decided to stay here at the hotel for a couple of nights prior to be the wedding to be closer to things. Everything went great except for the fact the toilet clogged up which I would think a place like this should keep on top of things like that. They sent me a survey via email and I expressed how I felt about the toilet and a manager got back to me apologizing for the situation which was nice. Other than that we had a nice place to lay our heads. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. For the rate that we paid we got a very nice room. We were able to use our AAA card and got a good discount which is helpful when you are paying for a wedding. The morning of the wedding we ordered breakfast via room service and it was really good and the brought it to the room quick. Overall I would say I enjoyed my stay here and if I ever find myself in that area in need of a hotel this place has my pick.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I traveled a lot past few years and stayed at plenty of Hiltons. This one gets a solid B. Not bad but not the greatest either. The beds are comfy, free parking a bonus unlike Marriots which charge for parking (Boo Marriot!) and the elite lounge has a decent free breakfast and evening snacks. Service is fast and friendly and location convenient to work. I stayed here while relocating from San Diego to bay area for a new job and it works well. Not cheap but far better than sleaze ball places like Extended Stay in Milpitas.

Oakland, CA
I love hotels. They are one of my favorite things. Even bad hotels are amazing to me.
We end up in Santa Clara once a year for work. We've stayed here twice and at the Hyatt across the street twice. I like the Hyatt better, but they aren't dog friendly. Bonus for the Hilton.
The beds are really comfy, the rooms are really spacious. There is room for a couch and a coffee table and a big desk, and a big comfy chair, and a table for the ice bucket. The dresser the flat screen is on is kind of small, but the closet is big. The bathroom is huge. Someone else mentioned the tiny trash cans, what's up with that?!?!
The staff was all very friendly, especially the people in the restaurant.
Breakfast was tasty, although I kind of like the buffet at the Hyatt better (I totally walked across the street for it on one of my two mornings staying down here). You're going to be out $20 either way. http://Hotels.com said there was free breakfast, but there isn't. Maybe if you're a "Hilton Reward" person or something.
There's a coffee bar that serves Starbucks but it closes at 10 on the weekends. After that, they tell you someone from the restaurant will be your barista, but that feels awkward.
I liked the Crabtree and Evelyn products in the bathroom.
My biggest complaint would be the lack of fridge. It's annoying on so many levels. I want to be able to pick up snacks if I'm staying more than one night or be able to take home leftovers, especially in an area that offers so few late night food options and has almost nothing in walking distance. -

Milpitas, CA
On Saturday evening my husband and I attended our cousin's wedding reception at the Hilton in Santa Clara.
The lobby is spacious and modernly decorated. There's a bar at the end of the lobby, business center and restrooms. The restrooms are HUGE and clean. Always a plus in my book :)
The banquet room was a decent size with a dance floor in the middle of the room. My husband had steak, potatoes and veggies for dinner. It was cooked to his liking. I had the chicken which tasted pretty good as well.
The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate our every desire. My little sister-in-law did not get her ranch after multiple requests but that's not why I am giving the hotel 3 stars. I've only experienced the lobby, banquet, bathroom and servers so for now the Hilton in Santa Clara is A-OK. -
Review from Leslie T.
Boston, MA
Stayed here for 3 days while on a business trip. Since I don't really have any choice as to where my clients put me, I'm always a bit apprehensive about the accommodations, and this was by no means the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. That honor goes to the Club Quarters in Washington, DC.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel to anyone who's traveling on business, as the internet connection in the room was utterly abysmal. Even wired (using the ethernet cable), I couldn't access more than one or two pages before my whole browser locked up. And forget sending email - I finally gave up and just used my iPhone to communicate with my co-workers. I did complain to the front desk on my first day, and they said they would look into the problem, but nothing was ever resolved. When I checked out, I noticed they charged me for internet access on my bill, and, based on the speed with which they accommodated my request to remove the charge, I suspect this is an ongoing problem there.
Room service was hit-or-miss. I had a delicious spinach and tomato egg white omelet for my first breakfast, which was so light and fluffy I ordered the same thing on my second day - only to be presented with a big plate full of soggy egg crumbs held together by chewy strings of wilted spinach. Such a disappointment! The restaurant was equally inconsistent - my spicy swordfish salad on Day One was quite good; my steak au poivre on day three was fatty and overcooked.
I will say that my room was clean and comfortable (despite the fact that I was stuck with 2 double beds instead of 1 King), and the staff was friendly (except for the room service waiter who tried to guilt-trip my co-worker into giving him a cash tip so he wouldn't have to pool it with the other staff...tack-ee). -

I love this location. The beds are comfy...I always get a great nights sleep. There is a great gym here too...I love to get a workout in on the road. The pool is okay...it is outside but much of it seems to be in the shade the whole time. The room also has a great big flat screen...this is the first place I ever watched Whale Wars...I remember calling my wife and saying, "You will not believe this show I am watching!" Thanks Hilton for getting me addicted!
The staff is really nice and they go out of there way to serve you. The club level is cool...great views of the mountains and the amusement park from up there. The food is good and it is a great place to relax at the end of the night.
I like Hiltons...they always do an amazing job of taking care of their customers and I will definately stay here when I am back in the area. -
Review from JASMIN O.
San Jose, CA
My aunt and uncle gave my husband and I a night at the Hilton as part of my graduation gift (so we wouldn't have to drive 30 min back home after a night out of drinking). Excited and thankful for the gift, after our night of debauchery we went to enjoy all things Hilton..
Walking in, the lobby seemed crisp and clean, very presentable.. but it doesn't give an "ooo or awww" factor. In fact, it's kind of in your face. BOOM! lobby. BOOM! front desk. BOOM! bar/restaurant. But um, boom, where are the elevators? oh, k, around the corner (eh, not their fault, I was a bit tipsy...)
I do like that they have a little cafe that serves Starbucks coffee. No it is not a Starbucks, but the beans they use for their coffee and espresso drinks are FROM Starbucks. Just so you know ;)
The room was clean, the bathroom was huge, and I had a hard time deciding whether to take the LG swivel screen plasma or the down comforter home as a souvenir.. I settled for the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries.
In the morning, I inquired with the front desk about a complimentary breakfast, and was told they only offer what is available at the restaurant. Now that I look at YELP, I feel like I was jipped. And I'm still hungry. If that was their cruel way of promoting their restaurant, they messed with the wrong belly.
Overall, serves the needs of the people.. who, apparently, should book on Priceline for a steal of a deal. -

San Jose, CA
I've had the pleasure of staying here at the Hilton last year because of a sister in law's wedding.
NOW I'm hosting my reception for my wedding here...The staff is amazing when it comes to catering and event support. They are always prompt to return your phone calls as well as helpful, kind, and friendly.
It's definitely a place I recommend for anyone who is considering getting married in a smaller venue. 165 guests at the most, I believe. The food is pretty good and the size of the hall is small and intimate.
The lobby of this hotel is beautiful. I don't think you would've expected that from such as small Hilton. The beds, are definitely comfy, there's not a real view, then again its Santa Clara, so I guess if you think Top Gun from Great American is a view, well you got your self the right hotel.
My fav part of this hotel is the fact that you can host a small venue here, and just a small venue. You can be sure all the drunk people wandering through the lobby will be guests of your party and not someone else. It's kinda nice knowing that, especially cuz some of my Filipino family can get out of hand with their San Miguel Beer!! -

This hotel is friendly, accommodating and easy to access for business related reason.
Why?
-Company gets a decent rate, and I love Hilton Honors.
-Manager is friendly and tries to accommodate me.
-lady in breakfast buffet on exec floor brings a smile to my face, even though ill pass on breakfast up there. They have a good selection of fruit, bagels, teas, coffee, etc but I am pretty picky in the morning.
-their dinning and room service is friendly.
- accessibility to the area/business.
-the workout center is supposed to close at 10, but chris, the manager allowed me to go in with a simple call to the front desk. -

So backwards! The TV still looks like a old monster. Please change it to plasma TV. At least two other hotels (Embassy and Hyatt) I stayed in Santa Clara have plasma TV in room.
No Refrigerator. Isn't it the basic equipment in hotel room? I asked the front desk why I don't have a refrigerator, they told me they don't provide the refrigerator in the room, if I need one, I can rent one $10/day. Ridiculous! When did you go to a hotel and rent a refrigerator?BTW, I paid $175 per day! But no refrigerator.
The room is so small. I have claustrophobia after staying one week here. Can't wait to go back to Embassy suite. -

An intimate and welcoming lobby will not fool me!
Internet access is only available in the lobby and there is no complimentary breakfast; those 2 should be the basics at any hotel.
The room was clean and aesthetically pleasing; it didn't have some basic necessities like a mini fridge and an iron/ironing board. There were dishes in hallway, which were not cleaned up from the previous morning! -
Review from Tom W.
Sachse, TX
Overall a pleasant hotel. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleased to see a duvet instead of a bedspread.
Prior comments regarding Internet access are no longer valid. I had both wired and wireless access in my room, at no additional charge.
My only real complaint is minor. The trashcans were designed more for form rather than function. They are very narrow, which look very cool, but you can't even put a 32 oz McDonalds cup in it, it's way too narrow. I had to leave much of my trash stacked next to the can rather than in it. -

$50 on priceline!
No fridge in room. Walls thin on the 2nd floor. Internet charge $10 a day! However, comfortable beds, big windows, crabtree and evelyn products, flat screen tv, and free parking.
No surprises at the Hilton! Big and comfortable. -

Truly a nice hotel!
Great location, great staff, nice rooms... I've never had an issue with this place. Price wise... decent. Try Priceline or other websites like that, and you'll find cheap rooms here.
But when it's a "cheaper" room, the view from your window is a view of a roof top of the hotel. haha -

Stayed here for the USC/Stanford game.
Priceline got us here for $60 a night. Flat screen tv's and big room were a plus. With the whole family I have to get 2 rooms that are joined, so we had a big area for the 2 days we were there.
The hotel was real quiet and the staff was helpful.Listed in: My Neighborhood

Recently I stayed at the Hilton Santa Clara for a work conference. I wasn't footing the bill, so I can't say much about cost, but the room itself was quite lovely--comfy pillows on the bed, nice bathroom and the Crabtree & Evelyn kind of nice lotion that you get at Hilton hotels. Can't say much for the location (unless you REALLY like Great America), since it's Santa Clara, but hey. The staff at the front desk was friendly and the food our conference had for dinner was pretty tasty.
Downsides:
$10/day internet--what gives? I thought this was the Silicon Valley, hub of Web technologies.
No fridge in the room
That dorky sign about saving the earth if you hang up your towel instead of having a fresh one put in. More accurately, it saves them money. I hung my towel up since I was only staying two nights, only to have it replaced with a fresh towel anyway. Sorry, Earth, I tried. -

Stayed here for Business Travel for over a year. Really nice hotel, SUPER nice staff.
I ended up switching to the Sheraton in Milpitas because the Sheraton has better breakfast, better Platinum/Diamond lounge (unlimited free wine... Hilton only gives you coupons for two free wines), and better TV (Sheraton gets E!, MTV, Comedy Central whereas the Hilton gets pretty much only the networks plus 24 news and sports. -

I can't even put in to words how disappointed I was in my stay here. Based on the appearance of this Hilton you would think it was a pretty decent hotel. After staying here for one night I could not recommend staying here to anyone. Throughout the night I was was awaken by airplanes flying over head as apparently this hotel is located just beneath the landing pattern of planes flying in to the San Jose airport. Also, even though I was on the 13th floor, I could hear the dumpster in the parking lot slamming repeatedly all throughout the night. To top not being able to get a good nights rest off, they actually gave my room to someone else before I had even checked out. I discovered this when I walked into my room to find someones belongings on the bed! It was not even noon (nor checkout time), and they already had someone else in my room! They offered to give me another room and/or a free lunch at the hotel restaurant, but that could not save the fact that it is just plain wrong to find someone else in your room.
Beware of this place!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Got a good rate from Priceline on a room here for two nights. Perfect location for a little Great America get away. This hotel is conveniently located in the parking lot of Great America. It's about a five minute walk to the front gate. All in all a very decent hotel, there were a few problems that we had.
1) The bathroom did not have a fan. Girlfriend made me use the growler station in the lobby. Understandable.
2) The sounds of the HVAC system. Sounded like someone was brewing a pot of coffee all night long.
3) The garbage cans here can hold about one bottle of water and a sheet of paper. I don't know who decided that a 3" wide garbage can was good for a hotel. -

Bid on Priceline on Friday and got a room for Saturday for $71 with tax and fees, winning bid was $58. Higher then the same time last year at $45 winnin bid. Reg rack rate for a Friday, around $120. This is what I get when friends come to visit on the spur of the moment, have to do a rush, higher bid. Did appreciate PL telling me how much more to bid to get a room since I needed one.
The rooms are looking a little run down, got one on the 6th floor facing Great Amercia. But do love their beds and high threadcount sheets.Listed in: Palo Alto Neighborhood

I like this Hilton very much. Unlike many of the other Hilton's in the area, this one is clean and presentable. A very nice and professional staff. Very accommodation. I have enjoyed my stay here in the past. My room was really nice. It came with everything you could think of, so i was pretty happy about that. It wasn't noisy or loud in the halls. The room was very clean and did not have an smells. I was very well satisfied.

Passable this place....and thats being generous, in this Yelpers opinion.
The resto and bar in this place leave much to be desired - and with not much to choose from in the area, why change it? I haven't stayed at this property in a year and nothing has really changed...except the breakfast buffet in the resto is MIA.
Pluses: clean comfy rooms, big-ass-lcd-tv's with sleep timer, passable shower head and decent water pressure.
Minuses: Location in the middle of corporate no-mans-land. Hotel resto's that can't even make a decent steak or omlette for breakfast.
I'm a Hilton Diamond and this hotel goes out of its way to say, "who cares" to the likes of me....club floor? Nah. Bottled water? Nope. Breakfast coupons? What are those? Rather, they brought me a "cheese plate" and glass of wine - six slices of cheese covered in saran wrap, two strawberries, two apple slices. I am Brad's complete lack of interest.
Unless you are going to Great America, you might want to look elsewhere.Listed in: Hiltons

The hotel is beautiful, but the rooms need improvement. Like other reviewers, the beds are a little hard, so I tossed and turned all night.
The Hilton Honors Lounge is nice, but the drinks are the same price as downstairs (in the Lobby Lounge). Wine and beer is $6. The free dinner meal was quite nice, but the free breakfast includes only fruits, cereals, yogurts, and hard-boiled eggs. The breakfast was the same each day, but the dinner changed nightly.
If you're visiting the Great America Amusement Park, Intel Corp, Apple, or others in San Jose area, this is a reasonably priced hotel. -

We ended up at this hotel when rolling the dice on priceline. It's a generic, nice clean hotel, with courteous staff and plentiful parking, but there's nothing unique or special about it. I was disappointed there was no fridge in the room. If you're staying here you should consider visiting Rabbit's Foot Meadery about a half mile away.

Soda machines on the Hhonors floor have been out of stock for two days running now. How hard is it to refill a soda machine? Seriously.
No fridge in room. Not good for a multi-day stay.
Business office has computers that log you off and restart every 30 minutes as some kind of politically correct method to make sure everyone gets their turn. Never mind that it is incredibly distracting if you are actually working on something.
Free parking a plus, but other than that, this place is overpriced for a basic hotel that is lacking some attention to detail.
