3 reviews for Hilton Resort Lake Placid
lovely place to visit in the depths of winter where the weather drops to minus 30 fahrenheit (u heard me 62 degrees bellow freezing), during the day u visit the usa olympic site or take an 8 dog sled over the solidly frozen lake where u can also spot some 18 wheelers stationed there just for the hack of it, some of 'em do ice fishing there. and the nightlife is really vibrant with live entertainment in the many bars, the crowd is drunk and loud exhausted from a day of winter sports.

Great hotel, but skip The Dancing Bear unless you're ordering a beer or are only stopping in for the music or to see the beautiful mural and other art work.
This place has miserable, watered-down spirits and the shot glasses have been plasticized on the inside, meaning an even bigger rip-off, as 1/2 of the ounce has been cut out completely.
On the upside, it has great musical talent stop by from time to time, and is worth coming to for this reason.
I've been in nicer Hiltons, but you can't beat the location, right on Main Street near all of the great Lake Placid restaurants and shops.
