I chose this hotel because of the close proximity to the beach, reasonable pricing and brand name.  The hotel is definitely beach front with its own private beach area with towels, chairs, etc for $18/day.   Its location is perfect if you want to be where the action is although I can hear motorcycles outside the window as type this.   You can walk pretty much anywhere to the restaurants nearby.

The fixtures and finishes seem somewhat cheap for a "Hilton-branded" hotel.   I've received friendly service and would probably stay here again.  I'd definitely go for an ocean-side room though as you'll have an extra buffer from the traffic.

Great place to enjoy the beach or pool and a GORGEOUS sunset!  This hotel is beachfront and you have your choice of the Gulf or the pool.  We enjoyed both!

Our room was super nice, super clean....no complaints.  The hotel lobby was very nice.

If you check in late, do not arrive hungry.  By the time we were settled, it was well after 11pm and everything was closed for the night.

The next day was beautiful.  We enjoyed the beach.  The hotel provides complimentary towels, but there is a fee if you want to rent lounge chairs or umbrellas.

The pool was fabulous.  Had THE BEST pina colada of my life from the tiki hut on the beach......shaved coconut with a cup dipped in honey!  OMG!

The hotel provided us with a $50 credit with our booking......but the food at the poolside bar was nothing to Yelp about, so we're glad we didn't have to pay out of pocket for it.

Self parking at the hotel is $5 a day extra, so be prepared for that.  The parking was secure in a monitored, gated lot.

I am pleased with this selection for my hotel and would definitely return in the future.

Roaches, electrical problems, noise, and a crappy shower.  Why do people pay to stay here?

I realize most people would stay at this hotel for the beach.  I'm guessing not too many people actually stay in the room for very long.  The beachfront location is really nice and beautiful if you get a room with a view.  However, I was attending a company function and needed to work in the room, so I spent three full days in the room without stepping foot on the beach.

I checked into the Clearwater Beach Hilton after a week at the Residence Inn and wasn't really impressed with it, especially compared to the Residence Inn.  Sure, the rooms are very fancy looking, but when I walked into the bathroom, I was shocked.  The tub was stained and pitted, dirty, and had sand in it.  The rest of the room is updated and modern, but the room I had, had a disgusting tub.  I have no idea if this is all rooms, or just the room I had.

The showerhead, faucet, and knobs of the shower were all loose and not actually connected to the wall, so they shook and rattled when you turned them on.  The water would not stay at a consistent temperature, and would go from hot to scalding to cold without me having to fiddle with the knob.  Later that night I saw a roach run out of the bathroom and towards my luggage.  I have no idea where it went and hope it's not coming home with me!  :(

I was on the fifth floor and was able to hear every frigging noise.  I'm a transcriptionist and had to do some work before I could enjoy the rest of the weekend.  I could hear people yelling on the beach, people on the floor above me talking, people walking through the hallway chatting.  It was really annoying considering I could hear it over the audio I was transcribing.  I could even identify my husband as he said goodbye to some coworkers in the elevator.

I kept getting woken up by the sound of people going to the bathroom and some guy next door snoring.  I kept hearing weird sounds that sounded like trains in the distance before I realized that it was the sound of toilets flushing from several floors up.  You're really relying on others to sleep at the same time as you in order for this hotel to be quiet.  I have no idea if they were doing renovations on the floor above us, but I kept hearing what sounded like drywall being cut.

The electricity kept flickering in and out on one side of the room.  I have no idea why this was happening, but my husband uses a CPAP to sleep and could've suffocated in the night had the electricity not turned back on and the CPAP restarted.  The alarm clock died in the middle of the night and wouldn't come back on.

This was hands down the most ghetto Hilton I have ever been in.  I couldn't believe this hotel even was a Hilton.  This place must run off of tourists alone.  It is a very pretty hotel, but fails in the most basic reasons people stay at hotels: a decent night of sleep and a hot shower.

I would much rather stay in my car than at this place.  If you're easily awoken by noises and need to do work, this is not the place to go.  I'm so glad I didn't pay out of pocket for my stay in this hotel, because honestly, I pay for a hotel room to sleep and shower, and this was the worst hotel I've ever been in when it came to those two things.  And if you choose to stay here, please be forewarned: there are a million pillows in the room.  Me and my husband were stuck with two twin size beds, and there were enough pillows in the place to pad the entire space between the beds.

There are fees for EVERYTHING here.  Need a towel for the beach?  It's a fee.  Parking was covered, but we had to get a voucher, so I'm not sure if the company my spouse works for is covering it or if it's complimentary with the room.  I bet the company is paying for it.  24 hours of internet access is ten bucks.
