Lobby was much more impressive than what I had expected to see in Milwaukee! Unfortunately, the hallways on the other floors were extremely bland in comparison and felt like a cheap motel.

Once inside the room, you can tell that the beds had recently renovated headboards and the decor was simple and sleek. Bathroom was very disappointing: old showerhead and tub took 5min to drain after I finished my shower. Beds are comfy as usual.

Overall:
* a bit underwhelmed by everything except the main lobby
* glad they put me on the 18th floor
* cost $150/night
* one step closer to HHonors Gold membership

I must agree that this hotel has location...conveniently located in Downtown Milwaukee and not too far from the highway and the convention center.

But the magic stops there.  I booked a junior suite to share with 3 of my friends on a recent road trip to Milwaukee and we were excited by the information that was provided online.  Now, as a Hilton Diamond member, this property fell WAY short of my expectations...especially for a Downtown hotel....and I have stayed at many Hilton properties domestically and internationally, from likes of the Waldorf in NYC and the Drake in Chicago...to Hampton Inns everywhere.

Now, the first room we checked into was VERY nice.  It was on the top floor, and spacious enough for all 4 of us staying there.  ONE problem...no pull out couch.  After contacting them regarding this dilemma, they told me that they did not have a comparable room to check us in, so they changed our room to one that had a pullout couch.  Sidenote (even as a HH Diamond), when I called them about this, it sounded like they were doing me a favor...how about some service sometimes?

When I arrived into the second room, I was disheartened by just looking at it.  But considering we were there for only two nights, we figured it was no big deal...until we realized the AC was not functioning properly.

Alas, the following morning, I was provided coupons to enter the Hilton Exec Lounge for a complimentary breakfast.  I am usually very skeptical about breakfast buffets, especially free ones; however, I have had great experiences at other Hilton properties when it comes to this.  So when we got there for breakfast, I have NEVER had scrambled eggs sooooo dried up in my life.  It was like eating a piece of sponge.  And the bacon has been sitting on that buffet tray for a while too.  VERY disappointing.  Instead, we went downstairs to the restaurant and opted to PAY for breakfast.

On the upside, the bar at the bottom floor of this hotel was very nice.  We did have a great night out hanging there and the waitress was phenomenal.  Very attentive.  I just wish the hotel was a bit more accommodating as well!

The hotel is a little tired and could use some updating.

However, we were here for Marquette's graduation and staying here allowed us to walk to EVERYTHING.

This is convenient and BOOK EARLY.

Great location... but this hotel needs an update.  We were given a room on the top floor that was lovely and remodeled... but when we went to pull out the sofa bed we had requested, it was non existant.  Bummer.  We went downstairs and were told that the hotel was sold out so it was going to be a challenge to get us a different room (whaaa? but we booked the room with the sofa bed AHEAD of time).  We ended up on the 14th floor.  The room was nice but dingy.  The bathroom has seen better days.

We had the breakfast buffet in the lobby... what a waste.  $16 for french toast that was stale and some dried scrambed eggs.  The second morning of our stay we left the hotel for breakfast and got a much better deal.  Avoid!

It's clean. It's nice. Service is attentive. Rooms could be bigger, but all in all a nice place to stay. Downtown and close to all the action that is Milwaukee.

Also, it's one of the tallest buildings in the city, and says "Hilton" at the top. Makes it easy to find.

It has a cafe, a bar, the Milwaukee Chophouse is inside, and there is a Starbucks. Plenty of services and amenities. Walls seemed a bit thin, but that's the only downside.

I'd go back for sure.

This place is awesome.  Coming with a big group, we managed to get a 3 rooms (10 people) for a very affordable price of about $23 each via bidding on priceline (my buddy did this, since I have no idea how to).

Beautiful chandeliers in the entry and ballroom.  Really classy stuff.  Indoor water park for an extra fee, even.  Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean.  Service is friendly.

Would definitely come back here if I could get the same price.

Pool was not open. Rooms were outdated. Entire hotel is outdated and has an old dingy odor. Hopefully the remodeling will commence. But I see no need to return to Milwaukee and stay at this place.

I recently stayed here for a conference, and was struck by two things: first, every staff person I encountered was super friendly and very helpful, and second, were it not for the conference, I'm not sure anyone was staying there.  It was _empty_.  Maybe it just seemed that way because the place was huge, but the only people I ran into were employees and other conference goers (less than  200 people at the conf).

The conference rooms were nice, there were plenty of chairs at random locations on the conference and lobby floors, and the wifi (although 9.95/day) was always on and worked fine.  My room itself was also just fine -- comfy bed, coffeemaker, decent climate controls.

I admit to getting room service for dinner three of the four nights I was there -- I was by myself and didn't feel like going down to the restaurants to eat.  The first night, my burger and fries took 1.5 hrs and the fries were cold.  The next two nights, though, everything arrived w/in the promised 40 mins and things were tasty.

I paid the conference rate (129) and I thought even that was a bit much.  Had I not actually been attending a conference, I probably would have stayed at the Ramada for 80/night, or used travelocity to find a better deal.

I stayed here over the weekend for Lia Sophia Jewelry Conference. The hotel was really, really nice. I was in a corner room (1231) and I did not hear any noise. I saw one of my team mate's rooms and mine was actually bigger than their room, and had more of a suite feel than a normal room. So, I would definitely request one of the corner rooms if they are available. The staff was very nice -they even had fresh baked cookies to greet us as we waited in line to check in. There is a Starbucks in the hotel -but be warned -if there is a conference going on, like ours, it is super crowded -make sure to get up and get your coffee really early -probably before 6:30am! Other than the long line at Starbucks, this hotel was fantastic and I would definitely stay again when visiting Milwaukee.

My boyfriend and I stayed here again.  Our room was a lot smaller this time, and this shower squealed obnoxiously as well.  The bed was very comfy though.  I could have slept all day, but we had a Megabus to catch!

We tried to check in via kiosk, but (just like last time) the thing just spit out a paper telling us to go to the front desk.  Next time we will know better.

Oh, and this hotel is conveniently located only a few blocks away from the Megabus stop!  Sweet.

I thought for the price my friend and I paid (we booked it on priceline for 80 bucks!), this was a great find!

The beds were comfy, the room was clean, and amenities were superb!  Plus, it worked out well that there was a bus stop right outside the hotel that took us to Miller Park for two dollars!!  You can't beat that!

This old gem is now a toilet....with a built in water park and kids running and screaming everywhere! One mom books one room and brings 15 of the neighborhood kids.

Expect a security guard on your floor making routine visits to rowdy customers.

It is a shame. I don't expect a heck of a lot from Hilton, Just a pleasant average stay. But his place is a circus. And the staff is unresponsive and largely absent. Try to dial the front desk. Guaranteed no answer.

If you need a Hilton property there is a double tree right across the street newly refurbished.

The restaurant Chophouse housed inside ROCKS! As does the HHonors lounge. But stay somewhere else and just visit.

Decor is pretty decent.  Location is quite good.  Service was very polite.

Beds are not very comfortable, but the pillows are decent.  Check out process is people free and works quite well.

Walls are exremely thin, you can literally hear people going to the bathroom at night.

Parking was $18.00 per day for unlimited in/out for overnight guests.  Wireless internet access was not very speedy, and was $9.95 per night.

Overall a decent place to stay, it is just another hotel.

I stayed here? Oh yeah now I remember. I don't even remember sleeping, I remember getting back to our hotel room at 3 in the morning and the water park that was for kids only down stairs.. WTF? Do you really think that drunk, roudy girl with pink hair is gonna stay out of the water park? Well I did. Actually I am convinced my boyfriend must have carried me up to our room last summer, because I know that I would have put up a fight to get in there. Yeh, I'm crazy, but that place looked like fun.
The few hours of sleep I had here were nice, but I was very happy to be back in Chicago that afternoon.
whatever the standard rate is, is too much. The hotel is a lot nicer looking(inside) then you would think, but we did priceline and it was still too much.

Hilton's are overpriced for their accommodations but this one is historic, at least.  The lobby is impressive, 2 stories, and the concierge and front desk staff was pleasant.  The rooms are decent sized and well stocked but I could hear the man in the room next to mine breathing!

No pool and the indoor water park that you see signs for everywhere in this hotel is only for kids 10 and younger AND costs $16 on top of their usual overprice rate (although I am probably too go to a water park the option would be nice...).

It is nice to have a Starbucks right in the hotel that is open late and some decent restaurants, the location is in such a weird part of Milwaukee... it really makes me like the town for some reason.

The bed was comfortable and the TV was fine too, their check out process through the television was GREAT.

Good thing I pricelined this hotel because the standard rate of $250 would have left me majorly disappointed.

Perfectly happy with this property, clean rooms with exactly what you'd expect from a Hilton. The choice of restaurants at this property is surprising considering the size of the property and, well, it is Milwaukee. I don't stay in MKE frequently (thankfully) but when I do, I'll more than likely be staying at this property.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton in Milwaukee. I was there for a conference, and I thought that the rooms were fine (a bit old, but still very clean and comfortable) and the staff was excellent. Anyone who I asked for help or directions was super-friendly and went out of their way to help me. Downsides: The fitness room is quite small and stuffy and the bar downstairs closes at 1! Upsides: When the bar closes, you can take your beer to go and drink the night away in the lobby!

this hotel is pretty much on par with every other Hilton i've stayed at. the room was clean, had an instant coffee maker right in our room. a refrigerator was no where to be found in the room, and i seem to remember there being one in every other hilton i've stayed at. i enjoyed the buildings historical qualities and like that they've seemed to keep that in tact.
