Blah, what a horrible experiance at the Hilton. Granted my friend's sister was able to score us a good hotel rate, the service here sucks to say the least. This past weekend they had a huge Indian wedding here and everynight there were guests in the lobby AND the halls causing a rukus until 4 in the morning! Good thing I wasn't planning on getting much sleep this weekend but still, it was awfully annoying that management didn't have their guests contained.
I don't think I'd want to come here again, and pay the freakin $15 parking fee a day either!
I was going to an event at the Queen Mary & as convenient as it is, I had no urge to stay in a small cabin on board...I will always prefer a good bed over novelty. I tried out Priceline & got a room for $70 @ the Hilton. Me & my friends ate at the Daily Grill in the hotel because we were in a rush. The food was okay. It's a casual place in the Hilton...I didn't exactly expect much. Room was clean, large & the beds were pretty comfy (not as good as Westin). Balcony was small, but whatever, I didn't go out there anyway. It was easy to get in & out & all in all, it was a painless experience. One thing...our toilet kept making the oddest noises...all the time. It sounded like it was flushing except no one was in it. Kinda lame when you're trying to sleep off a hangover.
Another night in a mediocre Hilton.
At $75 per night, like Andy F paid, awesome.....at $180 which I paid, not-so-much.
Smallish rooms, no frills room furnishings (no LCD's) and worst yet as someone who Hilton claims to love (ahem, Gold at present and will be Diamond by next month) I got none here. No upgrade. Club floor, sans club and two miniture bottles of evian.
Boo to this Hilton.
Damn, for as much as I paid for this room, I really wish I had stayed somewhere else. I am used to the whole Hilton thing-- they charge you extra to use the internet in your room, the tv channels suck, they room service food is crazy expensive and in no way impressive. But I am not complaining about those things because those are the same at every Hilton and I knew what I was getting in to.
So what's my beef? Two big things: the first is that they lied to me about my room service-- pasta with tomato sauce, so, not long to make, right? They completely forgot to put in my order, and when I finally called an hour after ordering (it was supposed to take 30 min), the guy said, "Oh, uh, I think I saw that just go out. I'll be sure to make sure it gets up there okay..." Bullshit. He forgot to put in the order-- I was a server and I know it can happen. But I am *honest* with my customers about crap that goes wrong. I *apologize* and let them know what's happening; if it's my fault, I say so. 20 minutes later, the room service guy was at my door. Yeah, okay, I am sure it was a really long elevator ride.
Second? Dogs--they let dogs stay there and they don't tell you about it when you book your reservation. I love dogs and I especially love well-behaved dogs, but a good rule of thumb: if you have to travel *with* your dogs because if you leave them at home they bark incessantly, what do you think happens when you leave them alone in a hotel room?? That's what I thought!!
The walls of these hotel rooms are really, really thin. The dogs that were barking were two rooms down and I could hear them loud and clear. I wasn't the only one. When I went into the hall to investigate exactly which room the 3-hour-long barking tirade (two dogs, no less) was coming from, I found TWO of my fellow floor compatriots out in the hallways doing the same. We gave each other knowing looks, rolled our eyes, and went back to our rooms. I think we all must have called down to the front desk so many times that they finally either threw the people out or moved their room. In any case, they ought to have one designated floor for the pooches, or at the very least, TELL you when you reserve that they allow dogs. It's a good thing I am not allergic!

Isn't Hilton's whole catch phrase something about their outstanding customer service? Something about doing all that they can to provide YOU with the most amazing service? Well..I've stayed at a few Hiltons throughout the country and have yet to see anyone bend over to ensure a GREAT STAY...Not that I expect you to bend over backwards, but at least smile!
This Hilton in Long Beach, CA. is no exception..
Situated next to Long Beach Convention center, this Hilton puts you within walking distance of well...not too much...As with much of Souther California, you need to drive to get to anything..Although, Pine Avenue at the Pike is definitely walk-able..but do you really want to go there?
So..onto the Hotel itself..It's a large hotel..many, many rooms..large meeting rooms and halls..a fairly large sleeping rooms, to boot! Although, not equipped with the most updated furnishings...Now..I hate to sound like someone who complains. Bitches, whines and moans, but I do it well..naw!...We were very happy with our surroundings and accomodations. We did, however, acquire this room off of www.priceline.com for a mere $75 for the night! Thank you priceline for letting us call the shots!
I will say, however, that the the few pluses of this hotel far outweight any of the negatives. They let us check in early..(check in time was quoted as 3:00 p.m. they let us check in at noon.) and the sunset from our window was outta this world!
Although, I'm not familiar with the Long Beach area, by any means...I'd recommend staying at one of the more quirky hotels in the area..such as staying on the Queen Mary boat..We would have totally done that had we known in advance! So..unless I'm in the area for a convention next, I would not choose Hilton to stay in during my next stay...To sum up the review..This Hilton was unforgettable at best..Only due to the fact that as I was writing this review I could not recall any specific details about a.) the lobby b.) our room or c.) any of the staff....
Great service! We pull and they open my car door, then open the lobby door, easy check in and great rooms. After sleeping on their wonderful bed I was reminded of how bad I need a new mattress. I love the bath towels and the amenities. Minus one star for the night time desk clerk not giving us our free breakfast vouchers. Luckily, the morning clerk who checked us out caught it and comp'd it. Now that's service! I'll be back with confidence.

Very nice hotel. Surprisingly nice, modern decor in the rooms. Very very nice mattress. Had a little balcony in the room and it was cool to have my morning coffee looking out over the massive port complex. We walked to dinner on Pine street from here in about 10-15 minutes.

I stayed here for my night before and night of my wedding. I booked my room through expedia.com and I thought it was all gravy... however when I checked in, they did not have my reservation.... Long story short, expedia never sent it to them and I did not have the room I reserved. They got us in a room with 2 queen beds, which was fine for the night before, however the night of the wedding we needed a king bed - as I booked. My best friend talked to the front desk person, Cindy, about the concerns and she totally took care of them. She was able to get us a much nicer room for the night of the wedding and it worked out so well! My photographer was able to get the best pictures in this amazing room with a HUGE balcony. Also the front desk, when we asked about parking, let us know that on the weekend the parking lot on broadway never closes.... so even though they suggested we parked in their lot for $14 a day..... hint-hint.

Let's set the clock back nearly 3 years to where I am coming from the transportation industry back to technology and will be working in the WTC attached to The Hilton. I begin talking to The Hilton about renewing our business agreement with them for travelers and guests who we would like to continue putting up over there. We had over 1000 rooom nights per year which is a lot for a Long Beach business. They couldn't care less. Made no efforts to keep our business and tried raping us on the price. Met with the owner and new sales director. They didn't care either. So we left and went to The Westin right away. GREAT move on our part. The Westin rocks and makes The Hilton look like Motel 6. Now fast forward to today. Our employees have had to stay there on 2 occasions because we use their over priced Executive Meeting Center and the force you to use their rooms to get a price break. We only put as few people there as we could. They all said it was lame compared to The Westin. So, I also workout daily at the fitness center there because I bought a membership when the fitness center was managed by a great trainer. Now it is unmanaged to say the least. They don't care. It is always a mess, no soap, no towels, hot or cold showers...no warm. The staff that I have met there for the most part thinks they are working at The Ritz, but I wouldn't hire them at the YMCA. Although there is one hot guy there that I have seen wandering around...he wears a suit and seems friendly enough...but for what reason? Anyway, based on my experience and that of the employees at my company and the people I workout with, skip this place for the Motel 6 or Travelodge...you will get the same quality.
Oh, and Paris...if you read this you may want to change your last name based on this location.

The suites are nice, but the hotel is not that impressive.
