Stayed there on a business trip. The hotel does the job but it is not on par with the quality I usually expect from Hilton.
The location is fine and easy to find and is convenient to a lot of businesses in the Teterboro area. Front desk staff is welcoming and effective. But this is an older Hilton in serious need of renovation: water stains on the ceilings, one of the elevator was not working properly and yet was kept in service, piece of fallen plaster laying around in the stairs.
My room was clean but, the ironing board was terribly stained, the water from the faucet had a smell of old pipes, there was a small bottle of conditioner but no shampoo, a small bottle of body wash, but no body loton which showed the lack of attention to details from the cleaning crew.
On top of that, hard to get a decent night of sleep: noisy ventilation system, poor sound proofing in the rooms: you can hear every step from your neighbors and all the traffic fom the nearby roads.
I'll skip next time I'm in the area.
What ever you do, DO NOT stay at this hotel. The staff, especially security is very snippy and unreliable. The security staff is not hesitant to tell guests to tell them they are loitering in their lobby making it seem like you are a convicted felon. Simply asking security for directions or details about the hotel will rile them up transforming them into over controlling German soldiers from WWII. The security staff definitely needs to lighten up, A LOT. If it wasn't bad enough that the staff had a problem with their guests 'hanging' around the lobby and outside area, they begin to 'spaz out' when you welcome a friend to visit you who is not staying at the hotel. Security is not afraid to tell visitors to the hotel to 'remove themselves from the premises' and are so threatened by the site of a non paying visitor that they have the entire security force come down on the helpless person(s). I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have seen the same problems addressed above numerous times, and even witnessed security throw a paying guest out for simply standing up for himself against the terrible Saddam like regime of the Hilton security force run by a man resembling Darth Vader. If you want to stay at this hotel, you are better off booking a cell in the local county prison, at least they will give you a better meal and a cleaner bed.

This hotel is one of the popular ones for the clientele at my job. So, when I get the opportunity to check out where I put up my customers, I take it.
I stayed here on Thursday evening. The front desk staff was very nice. The rooms are of a nice size and clean. The beds are exceptional. The bathrooms are pretty big as well, and I love the light above the shower stall/bathtub. The view is hit or miss, base on what floor / side of the hotel you are on.
The bar/lounge is a decent size. The bartender that works evenings (Domenic I believe his name is) can use a personality change, as he is grumpy and rude. I ordered a drink that claimed to have a "hint of" jalepeno pepper but the drink was so spicy that it tasted as if a whole pepper had be submerged into my drink before I got it. When I told him I couldn't drink it, he copped an attitude and slammed my new drink down.
Otherwise this hotel is fantabulous. The location is key. The rooms are welcoming and inviting. The rooms are a reasonable price, based on your proximity to NYC & local areas.

At this point, I have reached Diamond level as a member of Hilton Honors Club. My stays at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights are surely the reason. I have stayed here more times than I can count.
It is my home sweet hotel.
Because of this, I have become friendly with a few of the staffers - who are generally friendly and helpful.
The beds are comfortable and consistently clean. I get free breakfast every morning and free internet access. The fitness facility is decent - could use a couple of actual barbells as opposed to only hand weights though. The location sucks, however. If you don't have a car, you will fall victim to expensive meals from the in house bistro and risk going stir crazy at the lack of things to do in this sleepy part of New Jersey.
But, it's a ten minute drive to the Garden State Mall and it's right up the road from "A Fresh Affair" (see review - http://www.yelp.com/bi...).

It seemed like an older Hilton to me. My TV didn't really work but I was only there for one night and didn't really care. Free internet made things a bit better. The picture on the website and the description made it seem as if I'd be able to touch the skyline if I reached far enough out of my window but the skyline was pretty far away and kind of disappointing. They do have free parking, however, which is great and its close to the Meadowlands if you need to see a Giants, Jets, or Red Bulls game.
