I had the pleasure of staying here recently while on business in Lafayette. Cajun business, if you must know. The hotel is much nicer than the places I usually get put up in for work with new rooms, nice TVs, courteous staff, and decent coffee for free in the lobby each morning. Wired high speed internet is available at no charge in the rooms, and I think they have WiFi in the lobby, but they get pretty upset if you surf for porn in the lobby. At least that's what some other guy told me....
You can throw rocks at the Cajundome from hotel property, which according to the Lafayette Police is against the law in case you feel compelled to do as I did to prove how close the hotel actually is to the Cajundome.

Friendly service & new clean rooms. Fresh baked cookies at various times in lobby. Free coffee in lobby. Small pool. What appears to be a small hot tub next to the pool is simply a slighly warm round sitting pool. Small fitness center. ~$8 for onsite buffet style breakfast service in hotel lobby. Right across the street from the Cajun Dome.
