4 reviews for Hilton Garden Inn
Pros: Fridge and microwave in each room, nice staff
Cons: None that I could think of
Great hotel. It's right in the middle of downtown Bloomington, where all the great restaurants are. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff here was very friendly and attentive. The rooms are also not too bad. I mean it's by no means a 5-star hotel, but it was cozy. In each room, there's a microwave and a fridge. That's always a plus in my book.
The only bad thing was the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel, Coaches, closes at 10 pm. Imagine how disappointed I was when I'm watching the NBA finals and they turn off all the TVs right at 10 while the game is still going on. Sucks.
Overall, its still a great hotel. If I'm ever in Bloomington, I'm definitely staying here again.

A very nice hotel conveniently located in the center of Bloomington. I made my reservation through their website and got a very reasonable rate ($130) for a very convenient location. The room was nice with a very comfortable bed and nice HD television. And the exercise room was larger than most with step machines, elliptical trainers and weight machines and right next to a very nice pool. All in all, a very nice stay. The only thing I didn't like is they don't include breakfast, but since it's so close to many other good places, you might as well go out for a bite.

Hilton Garden Inns rock. They are clean, fairly modern, with comfortable beds and free wifi. They aren't the cheapest rates in town, but they are pretty close to being 4 star hotels in my book. Every other HGI I've stayed at has had sleep number beds, and while I have slept on far worse beds than what we had it was not a sleep number which was a little disappointing for this location.

Went there to watch the Miss Gay Bloomington Newcomer female impersonator pageant in 2007. They rented out one of the conference rooms and it seems the hotel just let them have full run of basically the entire bottom floor which was nice to have the extra space to see booths set up for some of the charities they were raising money for. I didn't see too many employees but the ones that did wander down into the area were friendly.
