I thought this was a great hotel.  First of all, it's pretty close to Disneyland.  There are 3 other Hilton-owned hotels in the lot, and there is a convenient shuttle that goes from the front of the Embassy Suites (literally a minute from Garden Inn) to the shuttle drop-off area @ Disneyland (right in front of the park).  $4/day will get you as many rides as you like, back and forth.

The room was really clean, and the staff was awesome.  Let us check in in the morning instead of the standard 3PM time.  LOVED that.  Yes, so parking is $12/day and in the SUN, but I'm willing to overlook that because we got a great deal on the room.  They also didn't charge us for parking on our check-out day which was nice.  I wonder if that is standard at all hotels...

Anyway, we'd stay again!  Even if you can't check in early, you can leave your bags and park in the lot and take the shuttle.  TONs of common eateries (like 3 Dennys and 3 IHOPS just on Harbor Blvd) nearby, as well as 2 Targets.  Lots of people walking, and clean sidewalks.  Overall very enjoyable and convenient.

I had business in the area and decided to stay here as the main Hilton at the convention center was still under renovation and they did not offer any discounted rooms at the time so I booked here.

It is a nice mid level hotel, but not within walking distance to Disneyland. The front desk seemed a bit inept as I had requested a nonsmoking room on a top floor away from the elevators and ice machine, so they put me in a mid level room right next to the elevator and ice machine. Strike One.

I noticed a lot of signs about not leaving valuables in the car and the front desk was this was due to a lot of break-ins and they suggested I park my car in front of the Inn where the front desk can keep an eye on the parking lot. Strike Two.

The front desk tried to get me to sign up for the shuttle service to Disneyland for a nominal fee but that was not in any of my plans.

The room was nice and being on the sun side I cranked up the window mounted A/C and left it on to cool the room down.

For what I needed it sufficed, but no raves here.

I stayed here for almost 10 days.  The room, laundry, fitness center were very clean.  Staff was friendly.  There were plenty of choices at the breakfast.  They have made-to-order omelette.  Target & restaurants are right around the corner.  It's about 10 minutes away from Little Saigon if you want some mean Vietnamese food.  One thing I don't like here is parking.  Some parking spots are so tiny.  You can hardly open the door.  If you come back late at night, it is hard to find a parking.  That's why I take out one star.  Parking can cost you $12 a day.  If you stay long term here, you may be able to waive it.

I booked the Hilton Gardens because they were fairly close to Disneyland(about 1.5 miles) and their pricing was very fair.

Parking is free but no free breakfast like Hampton Inn, which is a Hilton Hotel also.  Hilton Gardens, Embassy Suites and Hampton are located on the same lot.  Shuttle for Disneyland is $4 and leaves every 20 mins from Embassy Suites, it's an all day pass.  Family staying at Hampton also received $25 gas card.  I didn't book at Hampton because they were $159 per night vs $125 for Hilton Garden.  Didn't know about the gas card otherwise I would have booked there!

Since we had a 14 month old, we requested a crib.  The hotel uses Pack and Plays as the crib. Not too shabby.  The room has a completely empty fridge for you to stock up on your own items.  Target is two blocks down so very convenient to purchase drinks and such.  Buca di Pepo is located right outside the hotel so you can have a great meal just steps away.  I believe the last shuttle to the hotel from Disneyland was 12:20am.

Bathrooms offer Neutragena products.  Room was very spacious, having an arm chair, ottoman, desk and pricey Herman Miller ergo chair.  Nice LCD TV.

Clean hotel as expected for a chain hotel brand. We had a double room on the 5th floor right next to the elevator. The room was quiet and spacious. There was a mini-fridge and a microwave. It was convenient that Target was just down the street. The $12 daily parking charge was a minus.

--Added a $12/night parking fee.  If  you stay here a *lot*, it might be waived.
--I've stayed here a bunch of times, but something's often is broken in the room
--breakfast buffet more difficult to use than most because of layout and way they've chosen to dispense things like milk.
--Hassan at the front desk is great!

The things we were looking for when booking a hotel were proximity to Disneyland, hopefully some place nice but not overly expensive. We got that with this hotel. We got a free night since we booked, so that was a score already. When we checked in, I was really pleased and how clean it looked. Then I was given breakfast vouchers for each for us for each day and I was completely surprised. That wasn't included in our package, but the hotel gave them to us anyway. And not just a continental breakfast either, we were able to choose from either eggs, bacon, toast and juice/coffee or pancakes, bacon juice/coffee. I was soooo happy knowing that I'd be able to save a little more money.
The room was really clean and quite spacious. You get free wireless service. So I guess the theme they're going with is comfort or a good night's sleep or something like that so the bed firmness can be adjusted and the chair at the desk is some expensive ergonomic kind. Instead of a mini bar, they have a mini fridge and cabinet in the rooms. This came is really handy because Target is about a block away and I'd get some bottled waters there rather than at Disneyland. Our room didn't have Starbucks coffee, but it did have Neutrogena products.
We had a waitress during breakfast who was really clumsy & rude. She would forget about our coffees and then one day brought it out all hurriedly and spilled coffee into my daughter's juice. What's worse is that she didn't offer to get another juice. I went back and forth about even mentioning this. I mean, breakfast was free, but still, I think you need to know because I might have rather paid than get the type of service she provided. There were other things, but I feel like a whiner. Another waiter we got was awesome. He was really nice and attentive.
My kids and husband went into the pool and hot tub one evening and really seemed to enjoy it. They also have a little gym or you could get work out equipment to use in your room. They have a business center office in the lobby to fax and print things. There's also a "pantry" in the lobby which I assume takes the place of the mini bars. You can get anything there from popcorn to toiletries and charge it to the room.
Overall, I'm pretty sure I'd stay here again.

So planning a trip to Disneyland, the first thing came to my mind was hotels. There is a strip of hotels off of Disneyland and by gosh, I had the hardest time choosing a decent but nice place to stay to enjoy my trip. I went thru Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, and http://Hotel.com to inquire about the rates and quality of each hotel. My boyfriend wasnt too thrilled about staying somewhere cheap so he found the Hilton Garden Inn...

This place is literally 5 minutes away from Disneyland. Dont be fooled by the city location (Garden Grove), trust, we were worried that it would be far but it was pretty close to the park. While driving down the strip of hotels, we finally see the Hilton Garden situated around other nice hotels like Hampton Suites, Crowne Plaza, and the big Hilton Hotel. I didnt expect to see Palm Trees in front of our hotel, but there were palm trees haha. The location was really nice compared to the motels and other decent hotels around Disneyland. Pretty impressive.

Our room was pleasantly big enough for the two of us. It was a standard king room that had a coffee maker with Starbucks Coffee, fridge, tv, etcetcetc. It was nice n clean along with the bathroom. No stains, no nothing. The bed was nice n firm along with the pillows..it was nice to relax after the long drive.

I brought my labtop because I knew they offered free wireless which was really convenient when we looked up places to eat, directions, and any other services we needed.

There was one small thing that i noticed but didnt bother me as much..it was the parking lot.  It wasnt big but parked just enough cars. While driving back from DIsneyland late at night, we only came across 3 slots open which was fine, but could have been a problem if the lot was full. Also, some of the vending machines werent refilled so we had to go through the other floors to get a can of soda and a bottle of water. Nothing too big, just thought i'd share.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this hotel. Prices were reasonable for the quality of stay they offer. I would recommend this hotel if youre looking for a nice but decent, semi-luxurious, place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn... the room was comfy and clean with great amenities-- I loved the little kitchenette with the fridge, coffee maker, actual creamers (not that powdered junk!), and Starbucks coffee!   All the extra cupboard space was perfect for storing the snacks we brought with us for the trip and the fridge was nice and cold for our beverages, etc.

The beds were so-so ---- a tad too hard for my liking but not uncomfortable and came with a variety of pillow styles to choose from.  I also would have liked an extra blanket or a thicker bedspread...

Free wi-fi in the rooms-- a definitely plus!  Didn't bring a laptop but want to check your email, etc.?  Check out the business center near the elevators-- 4 computers, including fax and copy machine are available for your perusal.

I heard that the pool and jacuzzi were great although I didn't get a chance to check them out.  There is also a little fitness area with limited hours (6 a.m. to 10 p.m. if I remember correctly).   Also didn't eat at the restaurant in the lobby so I'm not sure how it is but I did partake in the free coffee bar for my much needed caffeine fix...

We shuttled over to Disneyland for 3 bucks unlimited daily use.  The shuttle was quick and good and runs every 20 minutes... very convenient and our shuttle drivers were fun(ny)... :)

I would definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn again... I was impressed with the room and the reasonable room rate was awesome and affordable for a fun family trip to Disneyland.
