Review from Thad K.
Las Vegas, NV
Stayed here overnight while picking my girlfriend up from a late flight at the airport. The hotel is super close to the airport and very easy to get to. As noted below, the major renovations are largely complete -- there was some work going on near the elevators on our visit -- and the hotel looks sleek and modern.
We were happy with the large room and comfortable bed, but we were disappointed by the quality and lack of variety in the pillows. Fortunately we were both tired so sleep came easy, but if we were staying more than one night this definitely would have been a problem.
The spacious fitness center has modern equipment that is easy to use. The hot tub was also nice and relaxing after a work out. Check out time is noon, but we were running a bit late and it was no problem to call the front desk to have it moved back to one.
All and all a great hotel! It was definitely worth the price. -

Nice hotel. Difficult to find at night. My gps could not locate it either.
Other than that, the bed was comfortable, room nicely decorated. Clean, although I could tell my room had been a 'smoking' room at one point. -

It's what you expect with a Hilton
- Nice, clean, pleasant hotel
- Sweet little lounge area in the lobby though (beer fridge!)
- Friendly staff
I mean... it's just what you'd expect.
Just a couple side-notes:
- Hilton is a Virgin America partner so if you have a Virgin credit card - book through your partner program (cheaper)
- Breakfast is not included in your room rate but available in a nice eating area off to the right of the lobby -

The hotel is easily located 5 mins from the Northway. It was clean and comfortable, and away from any hwy noise. I take issue with the breakfast - I requested scrambled eggs with homefries. The eggs had a lighter color and were not filling, which tells me there were other things in these eggs. The homefries were not real potatoes but rather something poured out of a frozen foods bag and heated. If I wanted food equivalent to McDonald's, I would have gone to McD's for a cheaper price. Time for the Hilton to get back to serving REAL food, not processed.

Astoria, NY
Renovation may be done, but restaurant is still not open. Breakfast is like chaos and felt like the fall of Saigon. Not enough dishes, silvers, or food. They only hve cold breakfast, so be aware.
Front is swanky and so the room, but small detailes were left out from renovation, like doors that squeaks need to be pushed really hard with full body weight, elevator that is super slow and never show, they also lack baggage cart, be aware.
Check in was smooth, but making reservation was simply challenging. One person tells me this, an the other tells me totally opposite. Then third, fourth...very inconsistant, almost feels we called Marriott and holiday inn by mistake.
Baby crib had smoke smell and burn hole, not baby friendly.
For the amount we paid, I'd expect more, and this is why I don't like staying at Hilton brand...too bad the real fire place and pool
Looked awesome, but they did poor job renovating and handling calls poorly. -

Did you ever have an "almost" experience and you thought to yourself a few minutes later, "Ok, that could have been a real problem."
I had one of those at this hotel. In the mens room off the lobby. I was washing my hands and as I turned away from the sink the automatic air freshener spritzed out it's little metered dose of cloying toxic "air freshener". If it had done it's little toxic deed half a second earlier it would have been directly into my face...Mountain Fresh Mace perhaps?
Who decides to put an automatic spraying "freshener" at eye level in a spot likely to have people standing there?
Overall, pretty good hotel, one of the older Hilton Garden's I have stayed in.
How is it an "air freshener" if it is actually polluting the air, anyway?Listed in: Hilton Honors Member here!

Nice rooms and comfortable beds but thin walls. The 2 year old next door woke us up at 6am

Review from C. M.
New York, NY
Currently it's under renovation. I got one of the new rooms. Its sleek and modern. Rooms are equipped with an ergonomic desk chair, microwave, and mini fridge. The bed has dials on both sides to adjust the firmness; at first I thought this was a gimmick, but there's a noticeable difference when you use the dials. The staff was extremely welcoming. Overall, this was a very positive experience for an upper-mid-range hotel. My only complaint was that the hottub seat was too low for some adults.
